The minimum graphics card to run the isle is: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X series card or higher.

Um not exactly that's for the error that some people have up above. If your loading into the isle like that with your current gpu then I assume your GPU is good.

Has anybody had an issue where when you initially boot the application for Evrima it just sits you at an infinite black screen? This is the first time I have run into this issue personally and am quite a loss. Did a fresh install and verified files already through Steam. The only thing I get is the initial application launch through Steam, the "AE" logo, then nothing but the void.

I have to even travel for heck ever to kill my dino. If no way to fix this bug, I seriously suggest a kill button because dang,, it already hurts losing a dino, why make the regrow worse by having to sit to starve, then through the starving until finally dying.

there is no fix for it currently. I believe the devs are aware and working on it? I think you can change to the quality assurance servers and try to see if the map loads there

Hi. I've redownloaded Evrima after playing on legacy for a while, and when I try to launch the game it opens and reaches the black screen between the title screen and main menu before stopping and not moving any further. I've tried everything I can think of and that I found online to help me. Reinstalling, verifying files, launching in diferent modes, making sure the right files like the vcruntime were installed, restarted my computer multiple times, clearing caches, deleting local app data files, everything I can think of and the game just will not get past that screen. I've been at this for hours. Is there anything anyone knows to do that MIGHT work? Because at this point its not worth it anymore.

Hi, I have been having problems staying connected to a server. I am playing in NA 2 and I can play for a bit but then get sent back to the menu regularly

Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

I have the game on medium and I can't load the map for the life of me. I've tried optimizing with Nvidia and reducing graphics/fps but no luck. I've looked solutions up on Reddit and Steam Forms and they're saying there is no solution. Hopefully I can find one here. It takes about 10 min to load the map and by that time my dino is starved or dehydrated.

To add onto this: it seems to be a specific server/dino (not sure which) that causes this. I went onto a different NA server with a utah and loaded in instantly. It might even be region based. Either way, I managed to get it running a little smoother and loaded in the map within 2ish minutes with Nvidia DLSS on High Performance and reinstalling/updating/downgrading my Graphics Drivers. I also had reinstalled TI and reverified my files. I just figured out that lowering resolution scale in your settings might be a possible fix. I lowered mine to 90% but lowest without any huge noticeable change to image quality is 75-80% and it might speed up loading times. So if anyone encounters this problem, try those fixes!

I have your exact same setup, but upgraded my 1060 to a 1080 inly for evrima. My advice, make sure all you background programs are closed. That gives me much faster loading times. Also a 1060 is maybe too weak what i recall.

<@&818552355796287508> after reading and following the linked document, i have still not been successful in launching evrima. i've uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, launched in -windowed mode, switched between the two branches, restarted my PC, launched in admin mode, and cleared steam download cache. nothing has worked. every time i try to launch, the game gets stuck on an unresponsive black screen between the AE loading screen and the main menu. i'm at a complete loss as to what to do

UPDATE: if i leave the game on this black screen for 5+ mins, it will eventually load into the main menu. the other day it would take only a few seconds to do that. i'm not sure what's going on to make it such a long wait that i thought it was completely unresponsive, but if there's still a fix for this please let me know

It's moreso up to the developers to fix the game. It is early access so it's not considered a complete experience at this moment.
as for the bug you're experiencing, each and every computer has a different environment that it uses as far as operating system/gpu/processor/ GPU type/Ram/Vram and version numbers that could be causing an issue with one PC, and not the other. If you're experiencing slow loading I recommend looking at pins as listed in the channel description before posting.

I don't know how to better explain to you that this game Evrima which is to be clear, a completely separate game than Legacy, and uses new code and framework, is literally only a year old. You pick up any AAA title after it's been worked on for only a year and it's going to be unplayable. I can't help you. If you think that's just people lazily spitting out a response, it's probably because every Jack and Jill that comes into here saying how unacceptable it is that there are bugs in an early access game, and people are tired of answering it.
As far as you needing to know when you'll be able to run it again, or have whatever issue it is that you're experiencing be fixed, the developers here don't give ETA's, and that's because it's not feasible to tell when they can get a bug fixed, passed through, and delivered. Also the developers have mentioned the performance issues many many times. Please be patient and allow the game some time to cook and get the bigger issues out of the way and understand it is a work in progress.

If you are getting an "Anti-cheat" error with Geforce Now, and are unable to open The Isle Evrima due to issues with Geforce Now, try the following.

1. Open The Isle and then close it.
2. There should be a little green cube icon, keep that open and start installing EVRIMA.
3. When the installation finishes, enter Steam's Big Picture mode and open The Isle from there.

Does anyone have advice or resources for how to optimize the performance of Evrima? I'm currently on an older PC that struggles a bit with the game, causing me to lose frames from time to time. I am on the lowest graphical settings, and even closing everything else out that I can doesn't completely solve the frame dropping. Sorry I couldn't help you, but I haven't had any problems loading maps so far. I did a comparison with players who had map problems on our servers, and most of them had older cpus and the game Settings were not turned down.

The official recommended configuration for the game is a CPU of 3.4GHz or above, a running memory of 16 GB or above, and DIRECTX of 11 or above,Graphics card needs more than 1060

If your PC configuration below official recommended configuration, my personal recommendation or set your graphics card to performance mode, set within the game you are down as far as possible, install your game in solid-state drives, will your virtual memory in a bigger hard drive, if all did, still can't normal game, so can only wait for official was optimized.

None of my other games have flickering shadows or run that hot. The highest a different game ever ran was at 90c, and that was because my room was hot.

If you're encountering a "Launch Error - Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" simply verify your game files.

You can do so by right clicking The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache.

I've been experiencing a significant issue the last several times I have logged into Evrima. When I log into a server or spawn onto a map, I'm stuck in that "free-fall" stance for at least 5 minutes at a time, as the actual ground and foliage has yet render or load around me, although I can see the near by bodies of water and other players and ai moving within my vicinity. I cannot move from my spawn position or defend myself, and often when I do look like I am starting to move, I rubber band back to the exact spot where I spawned, resulting in me getting spawn killed a number of times these past few weeks. Is this a bug that the dev team is working on?

It happened to me once before and I just logged off and came back cause I thought I perhaps logged in to the wrong server, but when the server crashed it happened again and this time it didn't fix itself. (I just checked now to see if it fixed itself and it has not and in fact that very raptor is dead in the corner of the map)

If the issue persists, adding a firewall exclusion for your entire Isle game folder and then following the steps above should do it. Try verifying files again after doing so too.

reposting an edited previous message as i did not get any replies to my problem

after reading and following the linked document, i have still not been successful in launching evrima in under 5 mins. i've uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, launched in -windowed mode, switched between the two branches, restarted my PC, launched in admin mode, and cleared steam download cache. nothing has worked. every time i launch the game, it sits on an unresponsive black screen after the AE splash screen, for up to 6 mins recorded so far, before it reaches the main menu. it's been a week so far with this issue, and it was NOT a consistent issue (ie. re-downloading the game fixed it) with past downloads of the game post update 4.

i have just lost a full grown deino to drowning because my game crashed and took too long to load back up. please help me out

Unfortunately, this seems to be one of the many game issues people are having similar to yourself, not allowing them to progress past a black screen before eventually shutting down. This game has been the testing ground for the many devs that left a legacy in the state it is in now. Much of the community has lost hope due to these bugs, crashes and busted mechanics piling on as they once did in Legacy, seeing it as history repeating itself.

As for you're issue at hand, I do not know another way around it other than factory resetting your computer as others have done in desperate attempts to play the game. Sorry I could not help further.

thanks for the reply, but i think you misunderstand. the game does NOT shut down after this long black screen, it WILL eventually load to the main menu and i can play the game, but it is an extremely long wait to the point where a crash is fatal for my creature.

I'm having trouble getting both versions of the isle as I have followed a tutorial and I have done everything correctly but nothing is working when I try to load up the isle legacy from my files it loads up and a pop up says "The game has failed to properly connect to setup the steam online subsystem. Please ensure steam is open and running and try restarting your computer" i have tried restarting and loading up steam and nothing had worked

Anyone know about a way I could fix this issue- I spawn in as anything on evrima and my audio just completely craps out, it’s super digital and robotic and there’s a half a second of delay, I also get severe lag and frame rates to where I can count my fps on one hand, thought it might just be my pc but my other games do not have this issue, legacy is also perfectly fine when I tested it to see if it did the same to it as it does evrima. I’ve tried just about everything I can think of, reinstalled isle, restarted my pc, updated my drivers, reinstalled steam itself and etc. Nothing has worked yet so I hope I can find helpful feedback on this to potentially resolve this issue, cause I really miss playing evrima 🥲

Quick logging usually fixes that. If it doesn't work the first time keep quick logging until it does.

That is the PhysX visual indicator. To enable or disable it:

• Press Windows key

• Find the folder called TheIsle
• Delete the folder

You need to be out of the game to do so

After that just relaunch

It'll reset all of your settings, including graphics, so you'll have to redo any changes you made

is there a bug with AMD graphics cards with shadows flickering? I'm asking this question as I previously had a GTX 1080 which died on me and I had to change my GPU so I choose the RX 6600. the performance is fine but the shadows flickering really make the graphics look decently bad even when maxed out :/ is there a way to fix this?

As I see it they're posting animations that are a work in progress. Animators cannot help with bug fixing. Only the programmers can. Rest assured they are spending time fixing bugs.
