  1. tried to kill a carno and got teleported MULTIPLE times back to where i was.
  2. im eating and my food bar isnt going up
  3. when i was a ptera every time i got teleported i couldnt call or lay down

i doubt the isle EVRIMA will be exclusive to win 10 but line 258 shows incompatibilities with directx 11 and windows 7 cannot go further, all we have to do is wait for the launch, i downgraded to the original game and its working fine.

Does anyone know how to fix the fatal error before the menu screen even loads? I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the game, and it's still doing it after the hotfix. I have Win10, and I ensured I have DirectX 12, so that does not seem to be the issue.

Because you have a GTX 960M you need Geforce as Type, Series is 900M Series for Notebooks and Product 960M. Then your Operating System (Win 8) and your Language. As Download Type the Game Ready Driver is fine

Why does it seem the utah pounce, onto a deinosuchus is way off you literally have to be right ontop of the deino to get a successful pounce even the slightest of distance you completely fucking miss, which makes no sense because you'd think the initial pounce would be too high and you'd need distance to land on it

Loads of people are having random crashes while playing since 3.5 and were fine before it. My friend has over 100 hours on 3.0 without a single crash and stopped playing 3.5 until his crashes are fixed. We tried to troubleshoot it changing his settings a bit and updating all his drivers, didn't change anything.

Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

  • Press Windows key.

  • Type "Run" to launch Run program.

  • Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

  • Search for TheIsle folder.

  • Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

After that i suggest you to restart Steam (or better, your PC) and try to see if it works

Does anyone else have a problem with game randomly freezing and blocking the whole pc? I never had this issue with legacy but now it happens at least twice a day and is my main cause of death. So what happens is the game just locking on one screen, it's often during fights which gets me killed. It probably kicks me from the server because for others it looks like I disconnected without safelog, but I still have the game view on my screen, just frozen. I can't tab out, it shows like it's tabbing but then nothing changes and I'm forced to look at a still image of Isle. I can't even open task manager to manually kill the game cause it won't go over the game window. My only solution is rebooting the whole pc but you can imagine it isn't fun to do it a few times each day and losing your dino every time when it happens. Any solutions or anything?

Reading through the pins (which there are several of for fatal errors) it looks like outdated GPU drivers or GPUs which are below minimum specs can also cause similar fatal errors

Based on what I'm seeing everywhere I look, Windows 7 and 8 will both not work with the newest version of Evrima due to Direct X functions that older versions of Windows do not and will not ever have access to.

Like I said, the exact reason is most likely because your i3 CPU can't process the newly implemented water physics in Evrima.

My only recommendation is to consider upgrading to a new machine. An entry-level gaming laptop nowadays would probably run you around $800. It wouldn't run The Isle great but it would be better than the blurry slideshow that I imagine you're used to

De-sync is still a huge issue. Don't know why the game drops my internet speed when I load it up. No other game does that- not even red dead 2 and that game is way bigger than the isle. Didn't have these issues before the last update launched. Lag is terrible too but everyone is dealing with that right now, not just me.

I get that a lot too when im trying to load in. The second I see it I know its going to kick me back to the greetings page so i dont even bother. I have a super beefed up custom built gaming computer so its not my gpu. This wasnt ever an issue before the update either.
I understand your frustration on it, and lack of response form the devs makes it even more so.
But im sure there will be a hot fix around eventually. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Hello there I joined evrima over a month ago and ended up with an unfortunate problem. I have no idea how it happened or what to do about it, yet my escape key is disabled on evrima. I have no means of accessing the menu in game. This doesn’t really have any legitimate impact on the game and I can play fine, but it’s not really great. My only guess to how it happened is my key bind of the Dino profile to the tilde key. I can’t exactly remember, but I believe my keyboard didn’t have the original key for that feature.

My friend and I are trying to play, I was playing no issue earlier same set of servers as the issue now. All their servers say #/-126 something with apparently a few people in them, but we can get in (clicking acts like it’s full though it doesn’t send to the main menu)

Tried the pinned troubleshoot for the odd server numbers but neither of us are opted in to the steam beta for us to even opt out, so now we don’t know what to do...

I havent seen any official servers either, ticking "Hide Empty" solved that problem.

Language problems: Game seems adamant on using my own native language my windows set/the area Im in. I use Steam in English. I'd like the game to be presented in English aswell. Properties/Language doesnt matter what I choose, it only use the native one. Is there an option somewhere to change this?

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

  • Press Windows key.

  • Type "Run" to launch Run program.

  • Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

  • Search for TheIsle folder.

  • Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

But yeah it looks like steam hates The Isle right now and a workaround is currently unknown, hold out the rest of you. Ill be investigating this further tomorrow when I have more time to spare.

it helped "If you are experiencing an issue with servers showing 0/1 or 1/1 players or some strange other number, and not their usual caps.
This is believed to be via the current Steam Beta

To fix this!

  1. Opt out of Steam Beta (Select Steam at the top left of steam>Select Settings>Underneath 'Account' select Beta Participation>Select none)

  2. Go to Task manager and force quit Steam

  3. Reopen and you should ok"

Hello Guys!
I tried to report, but just in case somebody else experiencing the issue and found a solution on it, i will report it here too.

Since the last patch, i got game crashes 8 times .... Its not really a crash, because i dont have any crash report, but my screen just stops at a point and my character is keep doing which button was pressed lately.
The most annoying thing that out of this 8 times, i died 6 times. I run into water or middle of a fight.

The game run smoothly. I dont have a power reactor pc, but it should be good. ( i mean the game runs full graph settings without any major laggs ( and im not counting here the server laggs or rubberb) )

The fun part, that i can't even close the game after a crash. I try to open the task manager, but it opens behind the game, and i can't click on it. I have to make manually a new desktop and open there a task manager to close the game.

I have reported this issue through the checksheet but i hope somebody has a solution on this.

I updated the nvidia driver, but didnt help 😦

Is there anyone experienceing the same issue?

Is there a permanent fix for the constant crashing, sometimes every 5 minutes where we have to force close the isle? None of us can admin on the community servers with these issues and players are experiencing it way too much, only happened since the last 3 hotfixes

Any tips for fixing this really heinous bug? I have been crashing every 5-10 minutes, sometimes every minute, since the water animation/hotfix updates came out. The whole game experiences some kind of CPU spike and freezes, then I have to terminate it via the task manager. When I get logged back in, I am, of course, dead. Or if I'm not dead, I freeze a second time and log back in dead that time. I can live with the other bugs until there is a solution, but this one is horrible.

  1. Go to your Task Manager, click "Options" and activate "Always on top".
  2. Even if your game runs fluid on high end settings it still doesn't mean your system can handle it for extended periods. Crashes without crash report are in a lot of cases caused by the system. Game doesn't report because it has nothing to report. Start with lowering your settings and go from there. While in game doing the daily average keep an eye on GPU and CPU Usage. If one or both of them is constantly at or close to 100% you still need to go lower, because if you are on 100% while just living your life there will be basically no ressources left if something more exciting needs to be processed.

I guess your main issue are the new water effects which can be challenging for most systems. As we are still in beta we can't expect everything to be fine tuned for everyone.

If this doesn't work for you check your connection. The Isle is somewhat touchy with connection problems. If that still doesn't solve it: be patient, wait for QA to find out what's the deal so Devs can fix it.

As far as random crashing while playing, I'm not entirely sure what could cause/fix that, aside from a full uninstall reinstall. The new updates did add new water so I imagine that's not the most stable element in the game at the moment, for now there's not much I can suggest until I can find/hear of a fix that worked for someone.
I'd imagine future updates and fixes will adress this and if you want it known, submit a bug report and have everyone having the issue submit one too.
