Why is it whenever I update the isle(evrima) it says that it takes over a year when it's at %100?

And it just stops there updating (and now it's working after restarting my steam 3 times and pausing and resuming the updating over 5 times, until now it works. Anyone know what may be the issue for all of this?

The issue is when i'm for example a Ptera, i get these weird black lines that flicker all over any part of the ground meshes Ex: anything grassy on ground level, i've tested it on multiple games that utilize UE but no matter what settings i go in to change or how many times i DDU and fresh install drivers i'm only having that one issue with evrima. even Legacy isn't doing it, the black lines disappear when i get close though. but anytime i'm moving. to me it looks like something to do with the light rays maybe ? i can link a couple screens and a rar for a video to show better what it's doing.

So I have this issue where I can't find a specific server in-game, and when I try to connect via the Steam server list, all I get is a brief flash of the connection window which says Server not responding under Player Name. I am still getting kicked from servers continuously. I know they just released a patch for this and I did uninstall then reinstall the game and I have automatic updates and its not a wifi issue. I have a big beefy gaming computer so I know all that is good. (also, never had these issues in the past, haha)
However, I'm wondering if others are also still experiencing this or if perhaps there is something else that I need to do regarding the patch.

I've tested this out on a few servers and I get kicked within 15 to 20 seconds of loading fully in for all of them.
I am at a loss of what to do other than 'wait it out' and just hope for the best.

Update: It seems the longer I wait, the less of an issue this is? I guess I will continue to wait and see if it continues to be an issue going forward.

Hello again I'm still having issues on Evrima.
I keep getting kicked from all servers within 15 seconds of clicking them.
The options for 'choose your dinosaur' are also gone when I do manage to click into a server but then I am kicked back to main menu.
On the extremely rare times I actually can get into any server (Official or otherwise) I load fully in and experience a TON of rubber banding as if the screen has a stutter and then I am kicked back to main menu again.
This game is completely unplayable like this and its really frustrating.
I would like some acknowledgment regarding this issue at the very least as I feel right now that its been ignored since the patch hit.

When you are encountering issues with the escape menu and/or inability to properly use keybinds/controls, try this:

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located. No adverse effects will take place by deleting this folder, it will reset your keybinds to the correct keys.

Yersterday my Game deinstalled itself and when I tried to reinstall it it only instelled 8 from the 20Gb so when I join a Server The Map doesn´t load cause its not downloaded. Hey guys, my graphics seem to be very bad after the update. On stress servers and before that in Evrima i had everything on medium and render scale on 68, it was perfectly fine. Now i've got this with the same settings. I've tried to put everything on epic and render scale to 100, it's a little bit better but still very blurry. My resolution is 1920x1080. Is there anything i can do about it?

Antialiasing set to none removes the blurriness, but makes graphics really bad. FXAA makes graphics better but adds blur, and TAA adds even more blur. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWLzIgVvSWw. It's not that bad but still hurts and was obviously better on the stress servers x)

Usually after pressing enter, it should bring up your computer files. You would just have to look for The Isle folder and delete it.

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

I wanted to share my solution to a previous issue- when I was unable to locate specific servers before (despite clicking hide empty, deleting the save file, adding an exclusion to my firewall, and putting my max ping to 5k) re downloading evrima fixed this issue. All of the servers I wasn’t able to see before are now present again

I have had this 'bug' where on logging in I suddenly can scroll out a lot further than usual/default. It is actually more enjoyable to play this way but I still don't think it is intended. It looks like this;

I think that's a texture setting issue. My best guess would be to set your textures to a higher value, if that doesn't work try setting to a lower value

its always like this, if I press the shift key for a short enough amount of time my dino wont stop sprinting when i take my finger off the shift key, but if i hold my shift key down for a little longer before letting go it will stop sprinting when I do so. I looked through the discord for a little bit trying to find a solution and this seemed to be an intended mechanic with no way of turning it off. Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

You may just have to keep adjusting that ping setting Lunary suggested earlier. Some people it works at 1500 some it works at 5000.
If all does not work, use a VPN. See if it works.

Ok, I need some serious help. My game is completely unplayable. I play Evrima (duh), but not only is the menu taking longer to load, I cannot play in game at all. It loads my dinosaur in limbo (where you can see through the world just before everything comes into view). I literally sit there floating in mid-air, no ground, no surroundings, etc. However, other players can see me and can/have killed mine while I'm trying to load. A tenonto I had literally spent it's entire life (starving and dehydrating) in the loading screen until it finally died. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, switching back and forth from Legacy to Evrima, verifying integrity of game files, ping adjustments, setting adjustments, drivers are up to date, etc. It worked fine last week, and now it's nothing. Any help would be great!

Haha my guy. I have been here for 2 days now. I cant join my own communitys server im admin on. See how bad that is? Its just mindblowing to me that it always takes a big youtuber or someone to talk open about these smaller issues, and then they listen to it. Bur when a nobody, btw they also think are none tech about these simple stuff. They take it with a bit of salt and dont mind the problem.

There's no guarantee that Tech Support can respond, or help. It sounds like you've gone through most of the solutions we can provide. Have you tried checking each max pings/min setting with Hide Empty enabled?

Sorry, I just have to ask, sometimes small things get missed. I'm not sure how much this will help, but you could try manually deleting TheIsle folder in localappdata, the instructions are pinned in here. If that doesn't work either, you might need to manually uninstall the Isle (by deleting the folders, not by uninstalling via Steam)

Just imagine. Tomorrow 50-100 people cant join the official servers. Then what? Just as a example. So I just hope the tech sees this as a major problem because if it happens to more and more communitys. It will hurt the traffic for evrima.

firstly, try the solution in pinned

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located. No adverse effects will take place by deleting this folder, it will reset your keybinds to the correct keys.

If this doesn't work @ me, there is another solution

@thin oracle I have added that server to my favorites wen everything was ok, right now as i look at it in the steam favorite servers, its "Not responding". router and firewalls are same at these 3 days, the only thing i can say, several servers only shows up wen i use VPN. and from what admins told me, several people have this problem recently.

I suggest using a VPN, if you haven't, that sends you closer to that server's location

VPNs, however, aren't good on latency. So expect lag, as I do believe you said it was laggy

VPN is not the solution at this matter. Also a game someone buys, specially from steam. Servers regardless should not need a 3 party help to brows or play on private servers. This is very odd, have never encountered this ever before in any games.

As many people have the same issue, we can only wait for a hot fix if the tech team are working on it that is to say.

They most likely have priorities ofc and if something is a problem for just a few people that sadly might not be on the close list.

Lost many days in my community and some friends to, specially as admin it is very frustrating.

Superlunary did mention they are aware and have it in the scope. So its only a waiting game at this point.

To give you a understanding on what we have done to try and fix it.
Reinstalled the game.
Verified the cache files.
Changed Version to Legacy and back to Evrima to try and trick the files or something. Even joined a Legacy server just to gain Legacy files and idk maybe fix some files while doing. Im not a developer.
Only happens to some not all. Internet is strong and good has nothing to do with out side or part.
Server has good latency so again not the server since other people can join easy.
Deleted files through %localappdata%
Changed steam Server Browser Pings / Minute 250-500-1000-1500-3000-5000 last Automatic (5000)
Tried joining a friend through STEAM FRIENDS even that did not work. - Server not responding is the message i get and some can join and some not. Note this is not only our server.

I think i covered everything. So as you can understand there is nothing more we can do.

the isle is available on geforcenow, I play the isle via geforcenow (I'm not sure I understood the meaning of your point.) they are no longer in early access. I tried to contact them a while ago but haven't gotten any response yet.

Unsupported meaning if something goes wrong they cannot help you. Also we cannot help either. I can't tell you how to access geforce now's internal files to get this issue resolved. You may have to wait until Evrima is finished or near finished.

I have yet to meet the first player in-game without these issues the past few days. Rubberbanding and teleporting back every few seconds or so is really ruining the experience right now. Even during the stress test with servers overloaded with 130 people and more trying to get in, the issue wasn't as bad as it is today.

I really hope this is being addressed, I love the game but it is close to unplayable right now.

Hey Orka haha we have played a lot in Evrima server 2. Ye well that is the problem when they or a game keep adding things before fixing the issuses.

Example > flopping bodies was not fixed before the map changes.
These bodies creates MASSIVE frame drops, and that puts an insane pressure on the server, witch causes all players to experience these lags / teleports.

Hopefully they will actually fix these crucial issues BEFORE adding more content. I have all the faith in the developers however you cant have more kids if you cant afford it.

Full aware of the hard work, and all the issues they fixed. This is not hate. But these issues has been since the beta stress test, and i thought they would see the bodies are a major problem. They are most likely already working. But the servers needs resets way way more often clearly.

Yeah I remember you as well ;). I can take a stutter or two but when you play a relative small and fast dinosaur like the Utahs, these stutters and teleports every few seconds are very unforgiving and currently are my number one cause of death. This is a survival game so I don't mind dying at all, but I would like to be able to blame myself.

The terrain is loading. For me, it might take a long while and sometimes you may have to try and move around. All you can do is wait until it fully loads.

It's insane. It can take up to 10 minutes sometimes.
