If you find yourself getting booted back to the menu after attempting to join a stress test server it's likely because the server is full, even if the playercount says otherwise. That's because of the sheer amount of users attempting to connect to these servers, resulting in the playercounts not displaying the correct number immediately

Alternatively you may be on the wrong branch, if that's the case then see "Branch selection"

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar.

Search for TheIsle folder and delete it. It'll regenerate a fresh version when you relaunch the game.

but if theres a "+" symbol you are free to move around but if you do move around takes longer to heal

I updated the the test branch, and the server browser shows a random amount of servers every refresh. Its 2 or 3 random NA servers, and 5 or 6 random EU servers. the servers change each time, so I can eventually get back to mine, but why is it doing this? Can someone help me?

It seems that Steam will try to show servers closer to you. Alternatively, you can use a VPN if you have one. Can’t see any servers? Try checking your Firewall and if it’s doing anything with The Isle. The best thing to do is to add a firewall exclusion for The Isle's folder located within your steamapps directory
Open Steam
Select “STEAM” on the upper left corner
Go to Settings > in-game
Increase the “In-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / minute” value and see if it helps..

I can't see any servers in the stress test. I'm not sure why, I did the trick with lowering server pings from 5000 to 1000 in the in-game steam settings but it didn't solve anything.

I would like it to be all english, and yes, I have changed the language to english, under the games properties in steam, and that didn't work. @subtle oasis dont trust the test servers they will change or wipe your dinos randomly not on purpose its just super buggy so most of the things you grow will be gone if you log back on later i have lost 6 utahs and 3 deinos

Only fix I see is from 11/30 so a long time ago. Even servers with less than half the players I can't seem to join. Might be worth trying to make sure the game is fully updated.

To manually change your texture settings for those who cannot do so in game, do the following

Press Windows key > Type in "Run" > Launch Run program > Type in "%localappdata%\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini" > find sg.TexturesQuality=x Set that to a lower/higher number > Press CTRL S (Save it)
Textures=x, you replace x with a number. 0=low, 1=medium, 2=high,3=epic, 4=cinematic

(3) This will take you to the game's directory, delete everything in this folder

(4) After deleting, go back to the properties menu and click on "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES"

(5) This will retrieve all of the deleted game files, and reinstall. When you relaunch the game, you should be able to join a server without issue

A tip I figured out the other night but I'm sure it is known. On busy days a good way to get in is, find a sever with 1 or more slots available. Then go to the steam servers and find that server, select join, select notify when spot is available. And then when you hear the notification you can join and you'll get in more consistently. Works for me atleast

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar.
Type %LOCALAPPDATA% in there and open your %LOCALAPPDATA% folder.

Search for TheIsle folder and delete it. It'll regenerate a fresh version when you relaunch the game.

First make sure you have selected the quality assurance branch in your Steam>Beta properties to be able to join the stress test servers.

If you are playing on the QA Branch you can only join the stress test servers.

They get full very quick and the server list can't update that quick, so even if it is 0/100 it might be already full and you get kicked back to the main menu.

Also keep in mind that you are not the only one spamming the join button to get in.

Hello, in this current update 3 beta, I am playing with a much lower performance than update 2, although I have a VERY bad PC( a laptop by the way) ; in the legacy I ran at 40-50 fps everything at low and there were no errors, in addition, before the update 3 beta, this error did not occur.

Ping can be a local issue, meaning it could just be your internet.. I've never heard of having a slow connection except for when you're trying to connect to servers that are outside your country.

To manually change your texture settings for those who cannot do so in game, do the following

Press Windows key > Type in "Run" > Launch Run program > Type in "%localappdata%\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini" > find sg.TexturesQuality=x Set that to a lower/higher number > Press CTRL S (Save it)
Textures=x, you replace x with a number. 0=low, 1=medium, 2=high,3=epic, 4=cinematic

hey so idk if this is where i talk about this or if it should go in a feedback channel, but i just died as a full grown ptera because i ran off a cliff, hit space and nothing happened, and then held space and nothing happened, and just watched my full grown ptera plummet to its death. thats absolutely irrational. And before you ask; yes I did wait until i heard the wind sound-cue and saw my ptera hold its wings in an almost-open position while its wing-membrane fluctuated with the wind. Not sure why it didn't work but I've been having trouble with this since the open beta's launch, it seems random. Maybe I'm just not good at it and its my fault, but even so it should be easier to figure out how to do it. 3 deaths due to ignorance is reasonable, 10+ is irrational. Am i doing it wrong or is this a bug? (feel free to ping me in a discussion channel or pm me, i just want answers TI_Succ)
