If you are playing on the QA Branch you can only join the stress test servers.

They get full very quick and the server list can't update that quick, so even if it is 0/100 it might be already full and you get kicked back to the main menu.

Also keep in mind that you are not the only one spamming the join button to get in.

Restart steam.

(1) Right click on the Isle in your steam games list, and click on "Properties"

(2) Click on the tab labeled local files, then click on "BROWSE LOCAL FILES"

(3) This will take you to the game's directory, delete everything in this folder

(4) After deleting, go back to the properties menu and click on "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES"

(5) This will retrieve all of the deleted game files, and reinstall.

Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar.
Type %LOCALAPPDATA% in there and open your %LOCALAPPDATA% folder.

Search for TheIsle folder and delete it. It'll regenerate a fresh version when you relaunch the game.

You'll eventually be able to play as hypos, but they've been in developement. I recommend taking this to another channel though.

If you're still having problems getting in, it's probably beccause the servers are full. I tried for about 30 mins yesterday and managed to get in by refreshing and filtering the servers. I only got in by instantly clicking on a server I saw had an empty slot. Even then half of the time someone else had already taken the empty spot. Best hope is to just keep trying.

it takes a lot more work to make that host button actually do anything than you probably think. That and the game isn't set up to work that way at the moment anyways. As for hosting your own dedicated server on the beta branch, I don'y see why you can't. Follow the evrima hosting instructions but just try opting into the QA beta branch. Should theoretically work.

Verifying files means that something fucks up on your computer's end, either via Steam or the OS messing it up somehow. Verifying checks against the files that are uploaded to Steam to make sure that they're properly downloaded and installed. So technically, needing to verify to fix issues isn't the developer's fault.

Could be. Some people with various hardware have issues that no common fixes for others seem to work. That's the off-chance of course, but still a possibility. I've had other games have issues fixed by verifying files as well, not just the Isle's. In fact, I've pretty much never had to verify the Isle's files before.

Early Access shouldn't be expected to be optimized until fully released. On top of, the Isle is being built on Modern hardware, RDR2 is an older game in comparison, and it's an entirely differently structured game. They can't be compared really. They work differently in extremely fundamental ways.

I am 100% sure I've uninstalled the game literally after Chikangia told me the steps and I wanted to prove it does jack shite

here is og msg abt my problem in somewhat detail -> guys I've been getting an error since the shading update for legacy and evrima whenever that was, it was fixable only by playing by opening the legacy branch game file in admin mode n stuff, but it doesn't work with evrima because for some reason it opens a steam notif where it says it will open the game with property "theisle" and then it shows the same error again

I've been searching on the web since I got this error and the only discussions I found were from like 2015 on some fighter game idk but they were all talking about opening the game as admin, which, as I expressed earlier, I did for legacy branch.

Does literally no one have this problem?

I updated my WINDOWS to 10 since I had this problem, didn't fix anything whatsoever.

Also, reinstalling/switching branches and reinstalling/deleting the game and installing it back completely didn't work.

If you cannot play Evrima due to error 'CreateProcess() returned 2e4' go to your Isle.exe in Steamapps/common/TheIsle.
Right click the .exe>Hit Properties>Compatibility>Uncheck 'Run this program as administrator'

Then go into The Isle/The Isle/Binaries/Win64/ Right click 'TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping.exe > Properties>Compatibility and Uncheck 'Run this program as administrator'

It's possible this is caused by having your game installed on the wrong drive. Make sure it installed correctly.

First make sure you have selected the quality assurance branch in your Steam>Beta properties to be able to join the stress test servers.

If you are playing on the QA Branch you can only join the stress test servers.

They get full very quick and the server list can't update that quick, so even if it is 0/100 it might be already full and you get kicked back to the main menu.

Also keep in mind that you are not the only one spamming the join button to get in.

Good to know, I didn't see any scrolling up. But worth mentioning in case that kind of thing isn't picked up by the QA server's automatic data collection. Want to make sure it was known about.

Mkai just going to write down here what happened in case. I died as a Deino. All normal get the death cam. Then loaded to the pick a new Dino menu. I chose to be a new Deino and picked a location. It loaded back to my dead body and got stuck there. No menus, Escape won't work. I can see my mouse cursor but cannot do anything. No buttons work, clicking is nothing. I can hear all sounds and can see from the camera view as the death cam left me. Only option is to Task Manager kill the game to leave the game.

Search for a specific server, example, NA5.
You can see it now.
It's full.
You only see NA5 because you've got it in your search.
Hit refresh.
While it's refreshing spam the top with your LFT mouse button as if you're clicking on where it will show up.
When it DOES show up you're the fastest person to join that server, if there's a slot open. Been pretty successful with that tactic.

@hollow violet The issue I am having is when Im in the server list mode no official server is even showing up. Do I need special permission to join Evirma?

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > and delete TheIsle folder located there. It'll regenerate a fresh version when you relaunch the game.

I was trying to land on one of those tall rocks where only pteranodons can reach, and I missed it. As I was falling through the air, my pteranodon could not deploy his wings again. He just dropped as if standing up and the drop killed me
