Hello guys I was wondering if I could get a little help, I believe I have my spec settings on everything high. However I feel like the game does not "look" as good as I have seen from other peoples streams/screenshots. I was wondering if any advice at all can be given to me if i have gone wrong somewhere?

What screenshots have you watched ? the lighting is getting improved a lot in the upcoming update 3. If you saw screenshots of that upcoming update, it's completely fair you think the game look worse than that.

Otherwise, your settings are pretty much maxed up, try maybe playing in fullscreen, You can also send some screenshots so I can tell you if it actually looks worse or not

Some of it has been from developer stuff which I understand they would have it looking as great as possible but I have pretty much a top spec pc. I mostly noticed it from Antomina and Simmo streams? I felt a little bit like "damn why doesnt mine look that sharp" I feel my game is a little blurry at times and a fair amount of grain. ty for your reply I will post a picture in game

that is caused by the nature of FXAA

Try changing FXAA to TAA, or completely removing anti-aliasing, as you are playing in 4K, it is not completely necessary

Try doing thing : change anti-aliasing to TAA or deactivate it.

Play at fullscreen, disable V-Sync.

Probably a dysnc issue with the current update. Expect things to be a little unrefined until the game is fully released.

Please use this solution!

If you want to force your textures to something lower then what it currently is and it's not working through the in-game menu. You can try open up GameUserSettings.txt which you can find in C:/users/youruser/AppData/Local/TheIsle/Saved/Config/WindowsClient/GameUserSettings.txt. Scroll down and look for [ScalabilityGroups]

In there you will find sg.TexturesQuality=x Set that to a lower/higher number

hopefully it'll work. Good luck

The quickest way, is to type this into file explorer. It'll open the file automatically. %localappdata%\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini. After you find it you could make a shortcut on desktop if you need to change it often.

If they're on windows it should. Don't see why it wouldn't, as the game stores the settings in the same files for everyone. The only reason that shouldn't is if the developers changed the file path manually.

sadly the audio issue is a bug, and there isnt really anything you can do to fix it. as for fps, if it isnt already, shadows tend to eat up a lot of fps and have very minimal differences between settings

Quick bug I'm experiencing, since I'm not in the mood of filling an entire bug report or whatever, I'll just say it here: Every time I close the game, it will not close completely. See image:
It will stay on this screen, saying the game is open (although it is not). I have tried to close all processes related to The Isle on the Tasks Manager, but even after closing any process left the game wouldn't close completely. It won't let me lauch the game unless I completely restart Steam, which honestly is a huge pain in the ass. Launching the .exe file manually won't work too. Just letting y'all know.

Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > and delete TheIsle folder located there. It'll regenerate a fresh version when you relaunch the game.

Hi, I seem to be having a bug when entering servers. If I join servers that are not part of the update, I can join easily. But the stress test servers will kick me out to the title screen when I try to join regardless of the amount of people inside. Is there any fix for this? I am not getting any "full server" message or anything.

(2) Click on the tab labeled local files, then click on "BROWSE LOCAL FILES"

(3) This will take you to the game's directory, delete everything in this folder

(4) After deleting, go back to the properties menu and click on "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES"

(5) This will retrieve all of the deleted game files, and reinstall. When you relaunch the game, you should be able to join a server without issue

A couple things, I am attempting to join servers, and when I press connect, the button does nothing. Sometimes it does, and because the server's full it resets my menu about 3 times before I can go back to the list. It's super frustrating since when I set the steam alert to say when the server has a slot, I press connect and I have to restart the server list in order to join it. Second, for the short time I was able to get in before the last patch, my escape key did nothing and I had to ctrl alt delete to get out of the game. Anyone have a resolution for either of those problems?

oh that really depends on where u installed steam and the isles. you can see the directory directly from the steam app. on the library click on the isle with the right mouse button the properties then u should see the tab local files and inside that u can find the browse button

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar.
Type %LOCALAPPDATA% in there and open your %LOCALAPPDATA% folder.

Search for TheIsle folder and delete it. It'll regenerate a fresh version when you relaunch the game.

this thing happens when you mess about with the different EVRIMA and LEGACY games and stuff

what happened here is that steam thinks that you have a different game version, i.e normal evrima or legacy, so when the game launches, the computer tries to find the files for evrima or legacy, but none are found, but because the game is installed, steam gets confused and doesnt know what to do

so uninstall what you have and it might solve the problem, switching back to the correct game

as in, you wont need to reinstall anything maybe, probably, possibly

Try this :

Restart steam.
