Hi, I’ve been having some trouble loading servers. When I entered the server menu, the frequency msg loaded for half a second and just disappeared. No servers would load in, and it might be due to the fact that I bought a new game a couple of days ago and is hasn’t worked since, do u know what the issue here is.

@gentle wolf For those with the issue you are having, disabling any Anti-Virus, Defender and or VPN can fix this issue, for some that does not work though. I believe it has been noted and will be fixed soon.

Hi! The pounce keybind recently switched to "W". Unfortunately, this is useless and I tried to restore it to the original keybind in vain, unfortunately it is not possible at all because whatever I give to a new key always stays on "W". Everything but pounce works great and can be switched to anything without any problems. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? How can this be solved?

I have an issue. I can click the servers, and it says acquiring data. Then it sends me back to the main menu. I go back to the servers and I try again to join and it tells me "Data acquisition failed." I reboot my game, same thing. Rebooted my computer, same thing. Verified the files, still doing it. Only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling and reinstalling. Is there something more I haven't tried yet that could fix this?

Hello! I am in a bit of a pickle. I have redownloaded the new update onto my computer. Previously, I had no issues getting onto a server and playing the new update. However, now all of the servers show up with 0 people on them and i cannot enter into the server to start playing. Instead when i click on a server with 0 people it sends me to the message screen that opens up when you first start the game. I have uninstalled and deleted the folder in my appdata, restarted my computer and reinstalled the game to try and fix the issue. The issue still remains. Was there a fix for this and im blind or is this something that isnt covered on the document that is provided to us for troubleshooting? Thank you for all you guys do!

I have encountered a few bugs after the last update was relised. I have gotten stuck by woloing and getting attacked at the same time. I was then only able to attack, not move, call or lay down. Then i tried to relog and that made me able to mave but not run. When i tried to run my tenonto started teleporting me back so that i could only move at the speed of walking.
Another bug i encountered was when eating as tenonto. My animation started but after around 3 seconds the animation started over again. I have heard from other players that it happened to utahs aswell.

It’s just me that bugs are causing more bugs but at least it’s runs a bit more like a game. Gpu usage seems to drop when there are more then 3 people fighting maybe due to the memory leak still being there.

So the update supposedly improved performance, and yet I'm not noticing a difference, still stuck around 15 fps. I find it really strange because I could run Legacy Isle fairly decently, when as I can't get Evrima to run decently even on the lowest settings.
I'm sure it worked for plenty of people and I applaud and appreciate the work that the devs do, I'm just confused

grazing is now bugged out no one can currently graze, eating animation when at a bush is resetting on itself when taking a bite (making player stand & enter animation again), some players are getting stuck in eating animation & remain stuck in it even when walking around for short time, hole in swamp area you can get stuck in & unable to get out from....
Other than those i didn't see any others occurring, but didn't really get to move about much as food now in some areas are less & without grazing cannot really explore too much.

It's gotten pretty bad. I can't get into most servers. I can't load my own server either. It stays stuck on data acquisition for 2 mins and then I'm back to the I understand screen. The dll download, verifying files, resinstalling twice, and every other fix I've tried hasn't worked. I am not below specs either. Nobody is saying much about it but others are having the same issue. I don't know what to do.

It's the anti-aliasing! If you turn that off your game will be very pixelated, but not blurry. They haven't fixed it, no.

I feel they made the game harder to run. Unless i put it on medium I only get 70fps and 50-60fps on epic/high 40-50fps on cinematic. Hmmm which is fine but the game still drops gpu usage has the memory leak is still there. The water will flicker unless you have it anti-aliasing on high or greater with TAA on. Which gives it a cartoon style for some reason and adds bad Motion blur and shadows. Like your screen is taking a shit😑.

My biggest gripe is the TAA. On Epic everything (mostly grass) has a ghost-trail effect (I don't know how to describe it properly) when moving around at high speed, making everything look blurry and weird. And if you turn it down, it gets so pixelated, that it's also bad. Gotta wait and see how it can get better hopefully

@glossy owl you will have to ping an admin of the server and try to coordinate. you will have to log in and they will have to tp you, might take couple attempts

Hey, after installing the latest patch I've noticed the game runs considerably worse on my pc? Beforehand I was getting maybe 45 fps on average on low population servers just running about, but now under the same conditions I average at about 20. I've tried restarting my pc multiple times already, and I've made sure no background tasks are hogging my pc's bandwidth. A friend suggested I reinstall the whole game, but due to my not having an ssd, that takes an entire day. So I wanted to ask here to see if there are any solutions to this before I decide to uninstall/reinstall the whole game.

It would seem the update broken private servers only official servers work. Rip them but this will pull people from the game all together. 3 patch’s in and game is barley playable.

What I'm confused about is I ran cinematic before the patch and it ran at 45 fps with no trouble at all, but now it's running at about 20 on the same settings in the same conditions

It’s because anti-aliasing is on by default now
It has to be on or the water starts flickering bad but using TAA cause bad motion blurr and makes the game blurry and adds shadow trails. In the end runs worse and look worse too and grazing is broken and memory leak still there and water bug too but hey we got a logg out timer for the few hundred people still playing this game.

I can't log into any servers after the update and I've reinstalled the isle and switched it to legacy and back again and that didn't work either and literally all the servers say there are no players on, even nycta and bio isle which are usually populated

When attempting to connect to any of these servers, players are sent back to the title screen.

I completely understand your frustration and or/concern. I've never seen the devs work anything less than breakneck pace. Steam has been irritating to work with from what I hear however, but I'm sure they'll find a solution.

Well I can imagine if those two accounts are linked via family share steam will hate it and tell you, you cant do that. So I'd consider unlinking them if you can. I'd imagine you can play the isle with two separate unlinked accounts that both own it. If they're not linked and it still doesn't work, it may be a similar issue with steam communicating poorly with Evrima like how, you cant find unofficial servers right now, and just wait for a fix.

So, before latest update, I usually got around 45 fps on evrima. Not as good as legacy, but playable. After this new update came, it's dropped my average to around 20, which is completely unplayable. I've seen others are performing better, so I know it's a problem with my pc. I've double checked the settings, and they're the same as they were before the patch: all cinematic. All other factors (player count, server) were roughly the same as well. I've tried restarting my pc and verifying the game files, and I've had no success. A friend suggested I uninstall and then reinstall the whole game, but I wanted to ask here before trying that, as unintalling/reinstalling will take a whole day due to my not having an ssd. Any ideas?

stop playing on cinematics , it's not meant to be played as. also having an SSD doesn't affect your download speeds. make sure your drivers are up to date too

How to unstuck a player that has fallen underneath the map and is unable to do anything
- A server admin will have to be ready in the server
- The stuck player will have to join the server giving it a 2 second window to be tp'd out
- The server admin will have to open the admin ui once the player has joined otherwise the name wont show up
- Either slay or tp the stuck player to get them freed

Since today when i launch The Isle legacy or Evrima i have major fps issues. It stutters between 4 to 60 fps. Impossible to play. I notice that my GPU with max 4GB is only going up to to 2GB and no more... i use to run both legacy and evrima at 50 fps easy, now out of the blue this happens. All other games run perfectly smooth. Anyone else? I have an Nvidia Quadro T1000

I've had my game run at around 30 FPS almost all the time, rarely going up to 40, even on empty fields. So recently, for non Isle related reasons we bought a new SSD (from our previous 250 GB to 1 TB), and when I launched evrima upon installing it the FPS stayed at around 40 - 45 and sometimes went as high as 50. I'm not really a tech person, so I don't know how did it happen, but I'm pretty sure it's mostly due to the game reinstallation. I don't know how much it helps, but I want to provide even a little bit of help and info to people struggling with the low FPS issue (seriously, even 40 - 45 looks so much better and smoother that 30). Though I don't know if it's fully effective, since my last session was around 15 minutes and I met no player.

@carmine heron FPS mostly depend on how good your cpu, gpu, and I think RAM is, I believe it contributes to it as well. Normal game reinstallation usually shouldn't affect a games frames at all.

@clever wave How to switch between Evrima and Legacy without downloading each time:
- Switch to legacy
(if you're already in legacy skip this step) - Make a new folder under your SteamLibrary>Steam apps>Common
(You should see all your other steam games listed here. I called my new folder Legacy) - Copy the entire contents of "The Isle" folder into that new folder
- Pin theisle.exe from inside that folder to your taksbar
(right click theisle.exe it and pin to your taskbar, OR Create a shortcut, rename it to "Legacy" and drag it to your desktop") - Use steam and switch to evrima branch
You should now be able to play both versions without downloading/installing each time you switch and evrima will still receive updates through steam.

Think the F11 key should change between window modes. Give it a try and see if you can navigate with mouse in different window modes.

You can try different max pings per minutes settings. 1000, 3000, or 5000 are the ones I recomend trying.
on steam app go to steam(top left) > settings > in-game and there is drop down menu for In-Game server browser max pings per minute

Not sure then :(, guess you could try different resolutions matching desktop res is best I think. You can change resolutions in local game files but I'm not sure which values you would need to change to try different res's sorry :(. Maybe someone with programing experience can tell you if you don't know.

Back when initially had trouble seeing servers there were a TON of servers...
Now after latest patch I can see the server list MUCH faster but there are a LOT less like about 20 & they are all empty...no players...
So...have some servers been taken down or am I for some reason not seeing all the servers? I don't even see any official Evrima servers.

There is much less servers showing as default is to filter out servers with different game version. Most servers are not working and that's why they are empty. The official servers are working and 99% of people are playing there.

@proud eagle have you tried adjusting your steam's max pings per minute? to get to the setting:
Open Steam
Select “STEAM” on the upper left corner
Go to Settings > in-game
Increase the “In-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / minute” value and see if it helps.
If you increase that number (I use 5000) then you should see more servers appear in the server list

Because they broke it with the latest update among many other things. I thought they were doing a hotfix but I guess not. We might have to wait until Doni gets back before we get anymore updates. I moved back to legacy for now until the end of August. Since I think that’s when the game will be playable.
Official servers are the only servers working most of the time. Sometimes random servers disappear.

@spare mesa I had a similar issue. It was resolution in my case. It said the right res but I switched it from the wrong res back to the right one for my pc and it fixed it for me.

I hate that I can't get the game to run, I've run windows updates, updated my graphics card drivers, reinstalled the game 3 times, deleted appdata for it, restarted steam, verified integrity of game files, restarted my PC and it always come back to this: Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 5089] - Corrupted index in pak file (SHA hash mismatch). I'm at my wits end, at this point I feel like giving up, anyone know any other fixes that I haven't already tried?

@white sentinel from what I understand, the reason it looks fine up close but blurry farther away is because of LOD's (level of detail) having a short rendering distance. To make games run smoother the LOD's are lowered in the distance to keep your computer from having to load high resolution textures of things that are too far away to matter if they have high detail. Unfortunately the LOD distance is too short right now so it really stands out. Especially in the reeds and some trees!

Not sure the public is interested in testing evrima, otherwise there would be more people in the evrima branch playing and reporting bugs. Which, yes, you are allowed to do. Also the QA team is kind of like the special ops for bug testing. They get all the hard to find bugs as well as most of the common bugs. Any bugs we see after a patch is a tiny fraction of the amount of bugs they see and test for before a patch.

@haughty tangle Not safelogging leaves your animal in-game for 5 minutes after logout, or until you log back in. Your hunger and thirst values deplete ( I think ) and you are prone to being killed

Um, after today's update... I lost all sound? I read something on patch notes about something happening and messing vocals, but I don't even have Menu sounds. The only sound I get is the AE intro logo. Once I reach the Main Menu, nothing. Still nothing ingame too.
Everything else on PC works, and all Evrima Sounds are at 100 in the settings. The game is also enabled in windows volume mixer (I mean... not that I use that feature, but checked either way)

So honestly... 6 weeks for this??? Just fixed... Nothing new.
A small plus... The own servers are up and running again.
But the main thing... what's important for people to play evrima at all... is just missing...
- No AI
- No group function
- No directional positions N/E/S/W
- Not even dead Al bodies built in... At least that would have been reasonable and easy, if there are already problems with the right AI.
At least you could have installed par dead solid bodies. Not everybody can and wants to hunt as Utah. Sorry, but that's not much.- Not even one or two new dinosaurs installed...
It shows how much they're at their limit and can't get anything done.
So this is really nothing for the 6 weeks.
I prefer to stay at Path of Titans.

It dropes to 10-20 fps in every combat, in packs... It's unplayable for me, all players teleporting and rollback. It's just hell to test anything.

@deep wedge since you've got no reply all i could possibly say that would help you is uninstall the game and re install, so if not probs go to the offical discord they will def help u. looks like you need to verify your files, you can do this by right clicking the game in steam > properties > local files > verify integrity of game files

So I have reinstalled the game multiple times and everything - still whenever i open it, it crashes with a fatal error. I have checked the pinned troubleshooting instructions however when I go to the AppData folder it isnt there (i checked the link too) and I'm unsure of how to fix this

@fickle onyx is the isle evrima bugged out today since im unable to find any server its completely empty for 20 hours straight stuck at scanning all frequencies

@deep wedge if you've not resolved the [file: Unknown] i had the same problem there's a file you're looking for in the isle folder called [TheIsle-WindowsNoEditor.pak] this stopped me from playing the isle make sure you delete that. same goes for anyone else.
to find that file go to:
this pc, find you're steam library, steam apps, common, the isle, theisle, content, paks, [TheIsle-WindowsNoEditor.pak]

the game cannot start. error of launch parameters.
clean reinstallation of the game (deleting the game folder and hidden save files). checking the integrity of files. running the file as administrator. compatibility is disabled. restarting the steam. restarting the computer. Please note that the launch parameters are not set in the launch settings.

maybe the game does not start because of the mysterious "TneIsle" launch setting . I have never set this launch option. The question - how to remove the launch setting NOT via Steam?

@fiery scarab Not sure if we are allowed to ping for this, but in NA 5 I got sucked under the map. Can you TP me out or slay me so I can keep playing the game? Already filled a bug report.

@humble badger it's fine to ping for that, however it's nearly impossible to fix someone who is stuck under the map while other players are in the server. When you quick log to become teleportable for a second, it'll teleport another random player instead of you if there are alot of people in the server.
So unfortunately, we'll have to wait until there are less people in NA5 😦

Ok so I've been having the "Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 912]
This platform requires cooked packages, and shaders were not cooked into this material None." error, and I have gone through the troubleshooting google doc for fatal errors. I uninstalled and deleted the appdata then reinstalled, with no luck. I've verified the integrity of the game files, no luck. Can we get a patch for this please? I've done everything I can think of to fix this to no avail. I'm not the only one who's had this problem either. Thanks

What GPU are you currently running? If you want to send me the PC specs from Steam -> Help -> System Information in a DM you can. Sometimes Steam doesn't see the GPU correctly so it causes issues. @uneven mantle

Hey! I cant seem to be able to click I understand on the starting menu of evrima. sometimes if i wave my mouse around it shows ive clicked it but the text wont go away and i cant click start
Edit: with a bit of waving around and looking for the box i managed to do it but it seems like the click box is in the wrong place.

I would like to congratulate the whole team devs etc. I had reported a bug that froze my fps at 30fps when i played with my native resolution (2560x1080) monitor ultrawide. And i had to play with 1920x1080 to get 60fps. But now, with this new recently update i can play with my native resolution (2560x1080) 60fps. Thanks all you!

This is generally due to either a bug in the graphics drivers, or having an older GPU that is just taking a long time to process. If it's the later, you can try increasing your TDR settings in the Windows Registry. Take a look at this post for details on how to do that: https://community.amd.com/thread/180166

I can't seem to change my broadcast key, it changed itself to the letter "W" and I cant reset it nor change it to anything else. Tho pressing W doesnt work either anyways since its already keybind for the forward movement.

@thin oracle You need to delete The Isle folder in the steamapps/common directory and then redownload the game. Uninstalling via steam won't work.

I keep getting kicked from the only official server with players on it. My ping according to speedtest.com is 23, I am useing an ethernet connection with no other traffic. When I join the server, my ping is 40ish, then continually creeps up & up until it reaches over 100 & I get kicked every time without fail. I am really frustrated. My FPS is 130+.

@hollow smelt I had the same issue earlier, it would randomly boot me..I couldn't really tell what changed for it to make me boot. I'd just be running from utahs or w/e and randomly DC
Maybe it was just the server being weird if multiple people experienced it

The entire menu is currently bugging out, whether it is just something with my pc or not I am unaware of but, whenever I try to press anything it does not work and the actual spot that responds to any input is somewhere else entirely.
