Well it was one of the Official servers (EVRIMA OFFICIAL NA 6) so i doubt that lol but it happens with other servers as well, just wanted to see if a fix had been made for this or if it was something new.

A lot of people are forgetting to extract the file. Make sure you extract the contents of the file, and then move it over. This should be added to the instructions. Not everyone is 100% computer savvy.

If the server you are trying to join is 1. Outdated 2. Has 50 players 3. Has 0 players then you may get that error. Try to restart your game and join a server which meets the criteria @ebon otter

if the server is 0.4.0.06 and has 40 players then you should be able to join. If not then idk and youll have to wait for the devs to sort it out @ebon otter

Only today the world is not rendering in, I spawn in as utah for about one second then back to my tenonto. Then I am stuck there loading the world for about ten minutes, and when it finally loads, the terrain is very strange and jutts out of the ground. I will probably put this into bug reports as well.

@granite epoch You are looking at the very end of the server list where the higher ping servers are, scroll up and you will see servers with better ping.
@regal spear as of right now I dont think there is a way of fixing this as the render scale doesnt seem to work. You may have to wait until the devs fix the LODs

@solar crow As of now the game's default settings are all epic and since we are unable to change them you're gonna have to wait until we can. I'd recommend playing legacy until then.
@thin oracle If there is an admin on your server just let them know and they can tp you out. If there are no admins make a bug report with the coordinates of the place you are stuck so the devs can fix it. Until an admin saves you you can either change server or wait until you die.

Hello, I have the problem of the game launching for a few seconds and then closing. I think I have extracted the .dll file from the vcruntime file, but I'm not positive. I have reinstalled the game several times, along with closing steam and restarting my computer.
Also, I seem to be missing the file 'Manifest_UFSFiles_Win64'. I don't know if I'm supposed to have it, but I saw it in the picture for installing the vcruntime file. Sorry for the trouble.

Im still getting the fatal error issue after restarting my computer, updating the graphics card and even reinstalling the isle (and yes, I also deleted the folder in the %appdata% directory). @deep aspen once it kicks you once you won't have any chance of getting into any server until you restart ive found, just keep restarting the game and trying to get into a server, sometimes it takes a few restarts but i usually eventually get it

@severe timber That's probably just a Steam download problem since that has happened to me before for another game. I had to shut down steam and reopen it for it to continue installing. Make sure not to pause when it's installing cause your steam might do the same as might and have a freak out whenever it's paused when installing something Big

If you currently have a dino on a server and want to spawn as the other, try logging, picking the other dino, and then having your current dino in the server die so you respawn

Know that you cant get in servers that are at 50/60 player that means its basically just full
If you try logging on servers with 45/60 (40-49 not just 45) then it will be easier to get in

@thin oracle I just had the same problem now I am in. I just had to restart it a couple of times before it allowed me on the server. Make sure the server isn't for eg 49/50 ye may get kicked anyway. I got in fine with a server pop of 20/50 but had to restart 2-3 times as that error message kept coming up. Ye will get in, just take a little while

Still having fatal error when attempting to launch. I have the vcruntime file installed, my drivers and windows are all up to date, and this is the 3rd time I've reinstalled the isle (and I've deleted the folder in appdata and restarted the computer each and every time)
Is there any other fix for this? Or do I just have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the isle until it works? (In which case I'll probably just wait until an update fixes this because the game takes ages to install and chokes my home's internet :/ so yeah)
EDIT: I should add, I've also attempted running the game as administrator to see if that'd help, but to no avail. I've also verified integrity of game files.

At first, the game wouldn't start after switching to the EVRIMA branch, so I've tried downloading vcruntime140_1.dll file and putting it into Steam/steamapps/common/The Isle, and that make it launch. However, after trying to load a server for about a minute or so, The Isle crashes. (This is not the data acquisition bug.)
I've had a look at the files in the installation folder again, and I've noticed that I am completely missing the Manifest_UFSFiles_Win64.txt file. I've also tried to uninstall the game completely and install the EVRIMA branch fresh, but that one file still isn't there.
Is this missing file causing the issue?

EDIT: because timer, Try to restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in to refresh it. Let me know if that works

@lyric needle hmm you might need to wait for a Dev to reply then I guess your issue is first one I've heard of maybe try this from the FAQ. It seems that Steam will try to show servers closer to you. Alternatively, you can use a VPN if you have one. Canāt see any servers? Try checking your Firewall and if itās doing anything with The Isle. Open Steam Select āSTEAMā on the upper left corner Go to Settings > in-game
Increase the āIn-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / minuteā value and see if it helps.

Whenever I launch the game, a pop-up comes up that says āSerialization Error: Action Needed. Corrupt data found, please verify your installation.ā
The only options are āOKā or to exit out of it. But clicking OK does nothing.
The game loads in the background with the AE startup screen thing in the background right before it usually goes to the home screen to select servers, but it stops right before it gets to the home screen and cuts to black.
When I try to close out of it, another pop-up shows. āThe UE4- TheIsle Game has crashed and will close. Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 978]. This platform requires cooked packages, and shaders were not cooked into this material None.

If you launch game and it kicks you out immediately do this;

Alright so when i start the game I get the Corrupted data and fatal error message. I've tried doing everything stated in the doc under "Corrupted Data Found" and "Crashing with Fatal Errors" since that's the messages i get when i launch the game. Restarted my computer after deleting the file, and redownloaded the game. Nothing changed. I think I have a pretty good graphics card and I'm not sure I can update my windows? Who knows tho, happy for any help I can get.

@golden sequoia yes, as there is currently no way of locking your fps to a certain number. You can try to turn Vsync on through your Gpu settings ie. Nvidia Control Panel. Which will lock fps to your monitors refresh rate if lower than you are currently getting and thus will lower gpu usage and temps.

Water is completely broken for me since yesterday. The game has been completely shut down, and still when i get back on all i do is run along the bottom of water sources as if it isn't even there. Occasionally i get a swimming animation when i get to the edge, then it goes away again. Literally can't swim. This is all water sources for me.

In the pinned messages, thereās a document containing the .dll cruntime file. Download that file and place it on your folder. C:ProgramsFilesx86>Steam >steamapps>common>The Isle. Also @thin oracle If you're referring to the locked FPS in your settings there's no way around that currently.

@fierce gust They can do 2 things. Uninstall the Isle. Delete the files in User>AppData>Local>TheIsle then reinstall. Second thing they could do is search their files for old Mods such as Frozen North or Region 2 and delete them.

I switched my isle to evirma, tried to run, wouldnt start, eventually i decided to uninstall and reinstall, while also deleting the isle folder (and in appdata), then i reinstalled and it still wont open. I switched it from evirma to legacy and back but its still not working

Ever since I've downloaded the Evrima update it wont let me open The Isle at all. I've done everything I could think of from restarting the computer to uninstalling the game and nothing has worked. It's been 2 days now of trying different things and I've grown frustrated.
What it will do when I click on it is that its preparing to load up The Isle and will say it's running but then it will just stop a few seconds in.
I'm not sure what to do and I would love some help to fix it.

I am having problems opening the isle after downloading the evrima. Verifying the files isn't for either branch, it's just for the game, it basically makes sure everything's there. The VCruntime file is in the pinned messages, scrolled down until you see Paco's message with a zip file. Don't put the whole file into the Isle's, only put the vcruntime file.

I've downloaded the vcruntime140_1.dll file which did fix EVRIMA's launching problem, but I still can't get into any server. If I try to, the game crashes. Upon comparing the installation folder to the screenshot in #pinned-troubleshooting, this is the only file that I am missing. Could this be causing the issue? And if not, does anyone know what might be?

I keep experiencing this really strange crash about 1 minute after I get into a server. My game freezes and often turns dark green in its entirety. It stays frozen but audio still comes through. For some reason, several pixels around the screen turn red, green, or blue. These pixels even persist after the game has closed in some instances. Sometimes it gives me a fatal error saying "GPU has hung" or something like that. This only started happening recently, and I've tried to reinstall to no avail.

@weary thunder Do you overclock you GPU? If so don't, your GPU isn't hung enough for it. Also cross reference your Specs with the Evrima requirements and make sure your computer can handle it.

@thin oracle I would wait just in cast. Make sure if you use Geforce that all drivers are up to date as well. @rigid rune I would suggest picking officials first. Just try to find a low ping one yeah.

Nope, it still crashes. I click on the server, this screen comes up, animated, but then after like three seconds, the screen freezes and the audio goes away. After about half a minute, I hear a "click" sound (as though hovering over a button in the menu) even though I didn't do anything, and then it crashes after like another ten seconds. I have no idea what's causing this. Could it be that missing file I mentioned earlier?

At this time i don't think they're widely changeable, atleast to much effect. Devs have actually asked us not to tinker with them the best we can as it can cause issues in it's current stage.

@rigid rune depends on your network selection. If its a public network have the box saying public checked, same for private. You can just click both though, really. It looks like you have a lot of instances of the Isle though, mine only says two.
You don't have the files from legacy do you? As it seems to be causing conflicts with the Evrima version.

yes, i refreshed, i tried closing out of the game and relaunching, i tried exiting out of steam and relaunching. itās strange because the very first time i launched after figuring it out, all the servers loaded, but the server i wanted to get into was full, so i refreshed and ever since then, theyāve never loaded.

Stop changing the graphics settings. This is causing issues for yourselves. To fix the blur somewhat you need to set renderscale to 100.
Weve been told not to touch any of the graphics settings as it will cause problems.
The only settings you should change are the renderscale to 100 if your screen is blurry and post processing to epic if the screen is abnormally dark.

@autumn badger Have a look in #pinned-troubleshooting for the dll file, download that and extract it. Put the dll in the Isle install folder.
If that doesn't work, remove everything The Isle related manually, including in AppData, then click uninstall within steam. Redownload the Evrima version and try again

About a week ago I bought The Isle pears. I really like the game, its its concept and style. Unfortunately, from the beginning since we installed the game, I have a problem with the GPU but only with this single game THE ISLE. Other and much more demanding games play without any problems, but here, when choosing a dinosaur, I find that the GPU runs at 98-100% or drops to 0% in this game and the game freezes. The GPU will either start in a few minutes, sometimes seconds, or at all. I tried to delete the game and reinstall it, I tried the graphics card drivers, older and newer, I tried everything I found or found out, but the result is still the same. GPU is either 98% -100% or 0%. Please, I would like to play the game, but unfortunately it doesn't really work for me and I don't know what to do with it anymore.

You're barely above the minimum spec requirements with Gpu and the 8300 is a fairly old cpu.
It might just be that they aren't up to it.

@static pilot Make sure you have made an exception for The Isle in your PC Firewall and antivirus.
If that doesn't work, besides restarting your game, there doesnt seem to be much more advice.

For my friends they are super easy to find, but say they are on Official EU 5 and I want to join them it is not an exaggeration to say it can take me 20-30 mins to find that server. So, I just managed to get EVRIMA working, but I can't access settings to see what the controls are. I don't know how to do the tenonto tail slap, how or where to wallow in mud, or most other things except the most basic things needed to stay alive. @echo prairie E is your interact key, be that eating, drinking, wallowing etc. You need to be on watery mud to wallow.
The attacks for Tenonto are camera controlled, look behind you whilst stood still yo smack your tail down, right click facing forward to kick.
As adult utah, you can only pounce at full adult and right click must be held to do so.
The only settings accessible at this time are the graphics ones, however we have been advised not to change these yet, with the exception of RenderScale which should be at 100.

@echo prairie Don't have them set on Cinematic. Epic only, and set your RenderScale to 100.
@thin quartz The instructions given are to delete everything first. So have the game installed, delete everything entirely by selecting the files yourself and sending them to the recycle bin. Redownload the game. If it wont launch even then, head to #pinned-troubleshooting there are instructions in there on how to patch it. along with an FAQ for any other enquiries relating to launching.

There seems to be an issue with crashing (especially on servers with population over 50) I believe it is known about and is on the "todo" list

@timid wedge Servers with high player counts usually crash at around 1000s which is absolutely terrible, Servers with around 50 players max and possibly a little over, I have tested that they can reach up to 20ks

im able to launch and start the game, and was able to play on servers until just a minute ago. whenever i join a server, i connect and the area loads in, but right after this appears and now i cant play. can anybody help? ive already checked #pinned-troubleshooting and i didnt find an answer there (unless its vcruntime related, which i can do if it is). (ive also tested this on 3 different servers, but each server gives the same error) i also had this issue before, but i updated my driver and it fixed it. i don't know what the issue is.

@stone nymph What's the issue you're experiencing exactly, are you just trying to find more than 50 servers? If so I don't believe there's a fix to that, whatever servers show up for you show up. You'll have to keep refreshing. Unless you're having problems finding one server in particular then there's no fix currently. You can also look for servers through Steam if anything. Click "View" on the top left of Steam, select Server, change the Game Filter below to The Isle

I found that when I followed the guide to adding the vcruntime thing it didnt work. Messing around I found that you need to put it in the link into TheIsle.exe folder, then into the Binaries folder and into the folder within that one where the test run client is to get it to work if it doesn't work just putting it into TheIsle.exe folder.

My first boot up didn't work. I downloaded the .dll file then got fatal errors trying to launch.
I uninstalled The Isle, reinstalled it (EVRIMA) then closed Steam and restarted my PC. Haven't had issues since.

Make sure all your drivers are up to date, Windows updates too.
Try verifying the game files through Steam.
The .dll is a file that should have been installed. Steam is notorious for skipping some files during installation.
Try downloading it and put it in the folder your Isle.exe is saved in. Failing that, check PC updates, try a reinstall of the game and restart.

The .dll file (vcruntime) is available to download in the pinned section of this channel thanks to the admins.
Just download that, go to your game's directory and extract the zip file into there.
(This 5 minute slow mode in here is killing me, seriously. This is just players helping other players since the Devs are too busy to reply and haven't done for a long time. This slow mode helps no-one).

So I've had this problem with the legacy branch, and now evirma, is that when I go to look for a server to play on all I am shown is Australian/Asian/European servers. I am located in California and I want to play on american servers with the rest of my friends but can't cause I can't find the servers they see. I've tried refreshing hundreds of times and I get the same 50ish servers on my list.
This problem wasn't the end of the world for me cause I just went through Steam>View>Servers and picked the server I wanted to get on and I got on no problem.
However with the Evirma I can't do that anymore. And I still have the problem of just the same 50ish servers from other parts of the world BUT america.
I've tried increasing the āIn-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / minuteā value but that does nothing, and I was already at the highest setting.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem or if there is a way to fix this.

Only thing I can think of is you use a VPN, or one is running without your knowledge, or maybe your steam is set to a different server region. I could be wrong. @cyan haven

In a recent patch, Server list limits were raised from 50~ because it would display servers based on ping, meaning people were only seeing servers from their region and couldn't play with friends from other countries (EU/US etc) because the servers had higher pings and were 'off the page'.
Make sure your game is updated, you could also try changing your download region through Steam but I can't offer much more than that based on current knowledge.
Edit: If you run a ping test on Google, (speed test by ookla I believe), it should say the location of the server it's being pulled from.

Anyone else canāt change their game resolution? When I choose fullscreen I get low-resolution resulting in blurry gaming. When I set to windowed-fullscreen I get High resolution but terrible terrible FPS. I cannot actually apply any settings except the window size (fullscreen or windowed fullscreen)

I did all the pings and it didn't work for me, then I saw that 1500 works for most people, but it didn't work for me for some reason, but I set it back to 1500, restarted my computer, and rebooted isle and bam it worked

@kind nymph If your game doesn't start at all after clicking play and seeing the, "Preparing to launch" box pop up but the game doesn't run, first try verifying your game files. Right click the Isle in your Steam library, go to properties, local files, verify. If this doesn't work, download the vcruntime dll zip file in #pinned-troubleshooting and extract the vcruntime file into the Isle's folder's.
