For all of us having problems with 8 fps, honestly I think we might just have to wait till the game is better optimised and the graphical settings are fixed or save up for a better pc. Unfortunate given that evrima was meant to be better optimised but I'm sure they'll work on it we just have to be patient

I do feel sorry for the people on lower spec systems, I know a lot of people that struggled to run the old isle at 20 fps so they are gonna have a hard time with this one 😛

@frail obsidian you have to open the winrar file and put the vcruntime from that winrar to The Isle file instead of the whole winrar file

I mean the saddest thing is that evrima was supposedly going to be better optimised than legacy but like ppl are saying, this is very early days in terms of public servers so we just have to hold out hope tbh

RE: "8 fps -> you can't run it b/c of pc" this isn't true, most of us -START- higher and drop to that at some other point while playing. I was at 30-40 until it dropped to 8 so there's definitely a bug somewhere.

Can anyone @ me if a solution that isn't 'set render to 100% has yet been found for the blur? I did that, still blurry, resolution is correct, changed settings, etc.

Am I the only one who cannot access any settings other than graphics? It's supposed to be this way right now, right..? Also, my PC seems to meet the minimum requirements, my FPS is usually stable at 30-40, but as soon as someone else comes it goes to around 20 which makes it frustrating to fight someone.

Some people may just have to wait for them to optimise the game a bit, it shouldn't take long this is just a stress test at this point, It's not like you have paid for this brand new game so just give them chance guys and girls 😄 I'm also struggling with blur but just waiting patiently for a fix 🙂

For anyone wondering the settings in the game do not work at all right now, so for people who find it hard playing, lagging, blurry screen, and low FPS its because all the settings are stuck on epic. Just thought Id let people know, I am sure they will work on it and make sure settings start working soon. BTW only really high/ well performancing computers can run it right now.

Has anyone found a resolution for the "Allow game launch" loop message?? I get stuck here and can't find any information on how to fix this. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, verified files, deleted cache, made sure windows, graphics and steam are all up to date. I added the vcruntime file also and restarted my computer. If you cannot open the game:

1): Close The Isle if it's currently open
2): Go to your Steam Library
3): Right click The Isle and go to "properties"
4): Go to the "Local Files" tab and click "browse Local Files"
5): Delete all local files in that folder, including the .ddl and un-install The Isle.
6): Re-install The Isle's EVRIMA branch
If you still experience the error after this:
Re-download the .ddl file, extract it into your Isle folder.
(If you don't know how to download/extract the .ddl here's how)
1): Open "Local Files" again
2): Download and open the .ddl
3): Drag the .ddl into the Isle folder by holding right click and dragging it under the files already in said folder.

@floral python Go to settings on the main menu, and change render distance to 100 if you haven't already. (If its still blurry idk what to tell you- maybe wait a bit and see if it loads)

@thin oracle I havent tried this, but someone said that to fix it you have to change render distance to 50... but everything will be hella blurry. They havent fixed it yet, I suppose.

@lunar pasture Did you delete everything in the isle folder?

I literally have to restart the game every time it says "DATA INQUISITION" in red (whenever I click on ANY server) and once I restart the game and click on an empty sever, it kicks me into the homescreen and next time I click a server it says "data inquisition" and I have to restart the game AGAIN

I run the isle on a laptop usually running around 8fps. On the Legacy version I just play on low settings and it doesn't impede my playing too much. When I play on Evirma it is so slow and glitchy and I can't actually play. Is this something that will be fixed in later updates or will I not be able to play the game at all as updates will increase the problem. I don't have money to afford a new computer so I'd love to actually be able to play the game on the one I have now

Currently, you can not change the Graphics settings. No matter what it says you set them to, they are forced at Epic always. We'll just have to wait until they change this, and then we'll get playable FPS. It fuckin sucks but oh well can't do anythin abt it, best to just not touch your settings until they get fixed

I'm not the first @thin oracle, it's been addressed in a few FAQ docs floating around, but I haven't seen anyone publicly announce it like I did for some reason.

It's addressed in the main FAQ doc the devs posted in #pinned-troubleshooting though, as have almost every other issue experienced with Evrima, everyone should be reading through that for help!!

I waited till midnight for GTXGaming to update, wanting to get actual players on my server by being one of the first few successful servers to be up. BUT NO. My server still stays dead.

Hey, I have a Problem with the Isle. Before the Update i had like 60 - 90 FPS and now after the test Version [Branch] I have only 30 FPS and idk what the Problem is. I changed my Settings from High to low but i cant see any difference its still at 30 FPS.

already did all the shit they said to, and it made it worse somehow XD complete trash and I ran the isle since it came out with like 100fps and we have been waiting for a very very long time for this update. everything is on lowest settings and shit just aint working, I redownloaded the game three times and it took me a couple hours to even get into a server because it just kicks me to homescreen once I load into the game. I'm pissed. Where else should I complain, because we are unable to post in bug discussion.

@thin oracle You need to put the .dll folder in the game file. to get to the game file right click on the game, then click propeties, then go to local files, click the button that says local files, then in this channel click the pinned messages, and scroll down till you see paco telling you to download a file, after the file is done downloading, open the file, where you see a notepad icon that has .dll on the end, drag that into the game file, and it should start working.

@golden estuary .dlls aren't supposed to be opened. you just need to move the file to the isle's installation folder.
@reef python people are allowed to complain when theyve been lied to for 5 years and can't even open the game up

Brah, my game literally won't even launch. I have done everything that punchpacket said in the link for common issues, I have updated my drivers, I have restarted steam and my pc multiple times, worked around with the files, even reinstalled the game, NOTHING works... it just says "Preparing to launch the isle" for 1-5 seconds and then it just stops.

@unborn plover just part of the map at this point. Will need to be reworked by devs.

@timid charm not sure what to do there. Perhaps a reinstall of steam itself. Maybe launcher got corrupted somehow. (Total guess)

@proven storm the settings are permanently stuck on epic even if it says low. The only changeable ones appear to be post processing and render scale. The fps is due to the stuck epic settings.

@digital radish .dlls are application extensions; that's their function. they're resources programs use to correctly execute the code they're written in. trying to run them on their own won't do anything because they only work as a part of another program.

Even though I'm getting sub 50 ping I can't get any consistency with server stability. NGL the update is pretty broken for me. Seems pretty unplayable at the state it's in rn. @hidden warren yea I hope it'll get fixed, but i don't think it'll be anytime soon.

@narrow laurel @eager wedge there's no reliable way to improve fps atm because the game is set to epic settings by default and cannot be changed without possibly experiencing unintended issues. there's also a lot of optimization issues even if your computer could run legacy on epic.

Asking again, for people with keyboards that have a double use of the END key how can they acces the admin panel? Other admins have no issues where as the ones who have the key with not just end (for me end+pgdn for example) the admin panel does not come up. Nor can we change it to different key since we can not acces settings😅 what to do?

@sacred tartan have you tried verifying the game integrity/uninstalling & reinstalling? i also recommend deleting TheIsle folder in %appdata%
@idle rock where are you seeing spinos? spinos aren't playable in the update unless you saw an admin. to download evrima you have to opt yourself into the public beta test in your game's properties on steam. check out the pinned messages for more
@finite jay you can't rebind controls yet
@thin oracle its because the game is set to epic settings by default. unfortunately the settings to change them aren't functional so you run the risk of getting unintended issues by changing your graphics settings atm.

I cant get my isle to update the new patch things or update in general. Every time I try to open, it says the game is already running. The other things within my queue will start their updates. I've restarted my computer, I've restarted steam, and I've tried to open the isle multiple times. Nothing seems to work. dont use winrar use 7zip. its a much better program. also im willing to dm people who have had issues with launching. i just spent the last several hours troubleshooting so i can coach people who aren't familiar with technical issues. i can't provide any support for server issues though. i only now just got the game working lol

Hi just got to try out Evrima for the first time today and ive just one unstomachable issue which is the in game text is a mish mash of 2 languages and i guess due to that i cant use in game call outs. Is there an alternative way to use calls apart from +ěšč=1234. Thanks

For those asking about the blurry/fuzzy graphics problem ther are currently two ways to fix it right now(both of them are pretty inadequate) :

Change the render scale to 100% (you can't make it higher, neither can you increase the resolution beyond 1080)
Change your anti-aliasing to something below Epic; High is still blurry but better, Medium is bad cuz it's both blurry and aliased, and low is not blurry but very aliased. I think high is the best for now.

I don’t know what the heck I did wrong. I tried downloading the file and all that Jazz, didn’t work. So I decided to delete everything and start fresh like it says to do in the pinned troubleshooting channel. Still won’t work. I have restarted it countless times and deleted it twice and with no luck. I saw that a YouTuber had the same problem so I watched him fix it and it worked. Did I do something wrong? Was I not actually supposed to delete all the isle files? I’m so confused right now and know very little about computers.

Regarding going back and forth between EVRIMA and the Legacy branch, whenever you switch over, do the files pile up or does it delete the previous ones or what? As a staff member, I have to go back and forth between the two a bit and it's concerning the amount it says it's downloading despite having downloaded the same thing countless times prior.
Another thing, it's stuck on the resume button and whenever I click it, it immediately goes back to resume, so I don't understand that bit either.
Most of what I'm asking is hopefully just Steam issues, but issues nonetheless and I want to confirm it is indeed Steam. If anyone has got answers, ping me with 'em! Thank ya.

To all whose game wont start.

1): Close The Isle if it's currently open
2): Go to your Steam Library
3): Right click The Isle and go to "properties"
4): Go to the "Local Files" tab and click "browse Local Files"
5): Delete all local files in that folder, including the .ddl and un-install The Isle.
6): Re-install The Isle's EVRIMA branch
If you still experience the error after this:
Re-download the .ddl file, extract it into your Isle folder.
(If you don't know how to download/extract the .ddl here's how)
1): Open "Local Files" again
2): Download and open the .ddl
3): Drag the .ddl into the Isle folder by holding right click and dragging it under the files already in said folder.

For those asking about the blurry/fuzzy graphics problem ther are currently two ways to fix it right now(both of them are pretty inadequate) :

Change the render scale to 100% (you can't make it higher, neither can you increase the resolution beyond 1080)

Change your anti-aliasing to something below Epic; High is still blurry but better, Medium is bad cuz it's both blurry and aliased, and low is not blurry but very aliased. I think high is the best for now.

I have an issue that mid-game, usually around 5 and 30 minutes, the server basically auto-closes without a warning and i return to the " i understand" page. is it a bug? a bigger problem with servers maybe? or is something on my end? everytime i ask i don't find answer so i don't really know if it's me or is a common problem. it happens everytime i log into a server. literally every time, there wasn't one time i manually did exit the server. it simply closes it.

@tough temple the settings are stuck on epic even if you have lowered them and they say something other then epic. The only changeable setting appears to be post processing and render scale.

I might just be bad at new combat still, but it feels like my hits wouldn't even register. just had a fight with a utah as a teno and he'd run into my ass and hit me but my tail slam wouldn't hit him. also I'm currently stuck at like 10 FPS after fiddling with settings a bunch, not sure if these correlate.

@surreal shell it's a missing "server is full message" the server populations are not visually updating in the server list. Just keep trying. And after every failed attempt you must restart the isle.

@proven gorge the server itself crashed at the point you were kicked is the most likely reason. No way to prevent it. Everything is unstable atm.

@thin oracle The server didn't crash. It happened to no one else but me. My internet didn't crash, it's the best one we can get in my city. As well I only had 60 ping so I wasn't lagging to the point of kicking me out. It just crashed then wouldn't let me back into any of the servers.

@proven gorge as to why you got kicked then, I'll just assume it was random instability. But as for getting back in, any time you crash or fail to join a server you must restart the isle.

@toxic vessel server limit on search page. If you can't find local region servers, change your max ping allowed to 1500 or lower in steam settings.

@toxic vessel you can only change it in steam settings, not the game itself. Close the isle. Change max ping allowed to 1500 or lower. And yes it doesn't affect everyone, but that is the fix for regional servers not displaying. Changing max ping will not affect gameplay in any way, but will only change search results.

@peak marsh if your game is blurry, you'll need to log out and go to your main menu to access settings. there, on the right there'll be something that said "Render scale" and you'll wanna switch that to 100 instead of whatever its at

@marble mason the graphics settings that would affect fps are all stuck on epic no matter what you set them to. Your fps will not change, no matter how you adjust them at this time. The only solution is hardware upgrade or wait for devs to fix.

@agile edge to prevent explosion of spam but 5 minutes is rough for troubleshooting lol.

If your steam is stuck at the download , navigate to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading
And delete everything. Relaunch your download.

1): Close The Isle if it's currently open
2): Go to your Steam Library
3): Right click The Isle and go to "properties"
4): Go to the "Local Files" tab and click "browse Local Files"
5): Delete all local files in that folder, including the .ddl and un-install The Isle.
6): Re-install The Isle's EVRIMA branch
If you still experience the error after this:
Re-download the .ddl file, extract it into your Isle folder.
(If you don't know how to download/extract the .ddl here's how)
1): Open "Local Files" again
2): Download and open the .ddl
3): Drag the .ddl into the Isle folder by holding right click and dragging it under the files already in said folder.

The key is COMPLETELY wiping everything in the Isle folder before uninstalling (sorry this was long. But people cant play and this worked for me)

I found a solution to the "Steam is NOT RUNNING" issue, chances are your firewall or anti-virus is blocking the game from connecting. You'll have to find a way to unblock all Isle and Stream related blocks in order to get it to connect properly.

If your steam is stuck at the download , navigate to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading
And delete everything. Relaunch your download.

go to start menu and type firewall > then allow app thru firewall > then add a program > add all the instances of the isle .exe you can.
I had to turn off firewall, then I was able to join, then I exited and turned firewall back on and added the .exe to the allow list.
Then I was able to play with firewall on.
That was on Windows 10 pro 19.09

Is there a way to change your resolution? I went to the main menu, then settings and changed it to 1080p but it always resets to a lower res? I've noticed others having the same problems. It'd be nice to know what to do whenever you can. Thanks

rename the folder then download the different version, after that you will have to rename the verison you want to play to "The Isle" and the other to something else
important to do that before you swap branch as well, if you got auto update on

My utahs head got stuck in the walking sniff animation and wont let me bite, call, wallow or rest. In addition to that, trying to keep sniffing results in nothing happening or anything popping up. Can't eat or drink. Fixed by logging out.

I have done everything suggested (except update GeForce because I have Radeon not GeForce) I got vcruntime, I updated windows, I’ve re-installed twice nothing is working! 😭🥺 please I really need officials to help me, I don’t know what to do, I’ve been a supporter of this game for 5 years now and my heart literally hurts because I can’t play this incredible update

8 FPS issue is caused by lower-end PCs iirc. Once they add more optimisation for other graphic modes you should be getting improvements unless youre far below the minimum specs.

@haughty nymph the game currently renders execessive amounts of foliage and doesnt let me cap the fps sometimes it breaks off the locked 144 cap and goes over 200 fps.

So I was able to finally play EVRIMA earlier and tested out Tenonto. I noticed I was moving kinda slow on my end due to FPS being stuck at 8. Is it best to wait till the Devs fix things to where we can change our settings?

@haughty nymph Its the same kind of situation as with MSI kombustor it can potentially overheat a GPU in my case the overheating is quite mild 80c - 83c but still its on the edge of thermal throttling. And what i mean by excessive foliage rendering i mean that the foliage FULLY renders up to 2km+ randomly and goes normal for a while.

@fast cypress This is an issue with steams updating, try hard quitting steam or restarting your computer to get steam to update

Ok so..
The game is loading pretty fast, like the start menu, the joining to a game etc..
But the problem is that it won't load the terrain. I am just here in air, waiting for a lot of time, yet it just.. Won't load.
My internet is good, just for information.

(With terrain i mean overall the world)

@floral trail There is. You'll have to make a copy of your The Isle for EVRIMA folder and put it somewhere else, and then swap to Legacy and make a copy of that folder too. I recommend renaming them.

When you want to switch you just have to replace the folders in the steam directory

IT can occasionally break your game though so be careful with that.
