@sturdy bobcat This is because they haven't updated the game with the latest hotfix. If they log out and they update the game, they will have the same issue. You will see the player count drop more and more because of this. If you want to play you need a server with the same version as your current update.

Yes there is an update! Exit your steam and log back in to restart steam. If that doesn't work, use Task Manager and close all the steam applications (aka turning it off lol) Don't force yourself into an outdated game. The update is 4.7 GB.

@peak sonnet You must restart the game after every failed join attempt. Despite this I can't get into any official server while Isla Nycta works just fine. Try that server maybe?

The problem with the servers is that there is over 11,000 people trying to get into 50 servers and the servers can only fit around 100 people or so give or take which only adds up to 5,000 can actualy play the game

If you get data acquisition then you get taken to the menu YOU HAVE TO RESTART YOUR GAME EVERY TIME do not try and load into a server again before restarting it will take you to a infinite loading of data acquisition then fail. Try different servers that are as empty as possible but not 0 (this may mean theres a problem with it) please check pinned trouble shooting, all the answers are literally there except maybe 1 or 2

FOR PEOPLE WITH DATA ACQUISICION FAILED, I MAY HAVE FOUND A FIX BUT IT'S PROBABLY NOT GARRENTEED BUT IT FIXED MY ISSUES
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\Engine\Binaries\Win64
then delete the 2 files called "theisle-win64-shipping.exe"
Then try again - it worked for me but I'm not sure if it'll work for others.

Simply relaunch the game, and choose a server which is not full and has the same version as your game. Don't try the Official EU servers because when you think there are free slot, in fact there aren't, it's just not refreshed.

I cant start Evrima due to VCRUNTIME140_1.dll not being in the game files, I reinstalled microsoft visuals, i manually inserted the file, i reinstalled the game and i even resetted my PC, nothing works. Several people have this problem and cant play the update due to this error.

- You sometimes spawn in the server as Utah, lag for some seconds, get the dino you wanted but with food, stam and water to 0 and second screen
- Some peoples get dark screens even tho it's day
- Dinos seems to fly a little bit off the ground
- Attacking in the water makes your dino legit fly above the ground
- EU players can't play because of the impossibility to change keys ( can't change wasd to zqsd, can't use calls or open character menu)
- You sometimes walk at the bottom of the water instead of swimming

Yes Beano, they are working on it. This is a beta test right now and we are here to help find out issues. It’s going to take time but slowly everything will get into place.
You can switch back to the legacy branch which is the old Isle if you wish to play that way still for now and not play on the Evrima test.

For those wondering about the dark screen. Don’t mess with your settings graphically, reset them back to default and restart the game. If you change them you get the dark glitch.

I've been having problems with fullscreen and windowed fullscreen... when on fullscreen everything is blurred like the resolution is lower than what I have it set to, but windowed fullscreen treats it as being full screened with the resolution I chose. Any fix? I can't play well on windowed fullscreen.

If you can’t open the game make sure you have the vcruntime file downloaded. To see if you have it or not, right-click the isle in your steam library and hit find local files. If it’s not in the first folder, you must download it and throw it in there for your game to even be able to start up and run.
PLEASE look through there, there are many common issues resolved on this doc.
To switch between games I assume you right-click the game in your steam library, hit properties, then betas and switch it back from evrima.

For those who are having the same problem as i, which means impossible to play because of wasd keys, just put your keyboard onto wasd mode ( english or EN by pressing Alt + Left Shift )

My boyfriend also didn’t have it, his game started immediately. It may just be a computer specific issue or just random I’m not 100% sure why that’s the case. @stray stag please look at the pinned google doc to find the resolution to your issue, you sound like you just need to download the vcruntime file.
@thin oracle just click the google doc, find the download for the vcruntime file, download it, go to steam and right click your game then manage then local files and just drop it in there. There’s also a read me in the download.

Ah yes you have to unzip it of course, don’t place the whole zipped file in there lol.
Also if your FPS begin to tank restart the game, it’s a known issue that FPS drop as time goes on in the game right now.
THE GRAPHICS are going to need to be fixed, the only way to improve it is moving render to 100% but even then it’s not entirely better. They said it’s something they need to patch.
Don’t touch your visual settings, it can cause bugs. And if your audio isn’t working I suggest restarting your game unless it’s an ongoing issue you’re having, then I would make a report as I have not run into that one yet.
To everyone having corrupt files, restart the game until you manage to get into a server.

The audio issue is a new one I believe, please fill out a report so the devs can address it. To unzip the file just double click it to open it. You cannot just throw the file as is once downloaded into the local files or it WILL NOT WORK

Guys the graphics are going to have to be fixed by the devs. It’s blurry for everyone because they need to fine tune them to get it clear. The only thing you can do is turn render to 100% from the 66.66% it’s default. You will have to deal with blurred graphics until they’re able to fix it.

Yeah I’ve had a few weird bugs pop up I’ve wanted to report but the report channel is read only for me. Not sure about that one.
And yes if anyone is getting FATAL ERRORS or DATA ERRORS you just have to keep restarting your game until you’re in and playing. If you crash again afterwards you’ll just have to repeat the process and restart again and again until you’re in until it’s patched soon. Just be patient, we’re playing a brand new game here and like all early access games there is bound to be many many bugs.

FPS is an issue everyone is experiencing, there is a bug with the servers and how they’re running hence the crashing and such. If you restart your game your FPS should reset, it’s known that your FPS will decline the longer you’re playing and the more players you’re around.
The blurry screen is a graphics issue the devs are having to fix soon.
IF YOU CRASH OR GET FATAL ERRORS you must restart your game until you’re in a server. If you crash again you literally just have to keep restarting your game.
If you get stuck there is unfortunately no way to get you unstuck at this time.
If you can’t open the game please look at this link and find the section where you have to download the vcruntime file. You’re missing that file and you must download it and place it in the games local file to run.

FPS is an issue that isn’t caused by your PC, it’s a glitch in the game at the moment since the servers are a bit buggy. It will improve as updates roll out.
Please be mindful this is like a beta for a brand new game and it hasn’t been public for more than 24 hours. The CC were able to test it the game itself but public servers are a completely different ballpark. Please be patient as they work to fix these errors.

If you’re immediately being kicked, try restarting the game until it works properly.
You have to place the extracted file into the games local files in your PC.
And yes, this is a mess but it’s what we should’ve expected when a game is freshly released to the public. You will have to be patient until it’s fixed or simply go play the legacy version until the evirma version is to your liking.
PLEASE look at the pinned google doc if your game starts but then stops when you hit play and does not open. You will need to download, unzip, and place a file titled vcruntime to run the game.

yall need to understand if the server did not update, you will get the "data accusation failed" screen. Its not the game its the server not being up to date

The data failed means you have to join servers that end in .6 version, but you will have to reload the whole game if you got the data failed message
