hey so my game keeps crashing everytime i join a server. it lets me play for maybe 3 seconds, sometimes up to 5 minutes, then crashes. i think the skins are ok. but the color variation is practically ZERO. When I first saw it I didnt even realize that it was a palette of colcr shades... can also clean the shader cache but this blurred textures are because of corrupted files/lack of vram/game issue

depending how much vram you have available, you might need to leave textures at low/medium

I was able to minimize random crashes by installing the latest GPU driver, verifying the integrity of game files, and restarts. Crashes are less frequent but still occur. -in regards to the 0xffffffffffff error in hoardtest, hope this helps anyone dealing with the same issue.

As the game engine may have had an update in the last few patch’s, delete the games Config folder to reset all settings to reduce graphical bugs and improve performance ( see how in pinned messages up top)

I have TOO high ping. And I have good internet speed. Nothing else has such problem. Interner is flying. But when I connecting to servers on evrima, no matter official or unofficial, it's starts to jump from 100 to 435 in a seconds and non-stop, while when I was entering server, it was showing that Ping is 29-45.

I tried to reinstal the game. On a third time yesterday it helped. I entered server and it was fine. But today when I entered the gam again, I got the same problem.

The Isle is not forgiving. It is unoptimized and hardcore. Unlike Path of Titans it is meant for intense stress gameplay and just being hard in general. That is why it is fun. Coming from someone who has died trying to grow a carno 56 times in row, when you finally do it- it's very rewarding.

It crashes five or six times in a row, and you have a one-second window to take a step forward and exit the area someday. Unlike this one, it's possible to play with other bugs, because while you're trying to enter, you'll either die of hunger or from another player, or you'll spawn completely without stamina because your dinosaur was running the entire time you were trying to enter. to safely switch to Evrima you need to delete the config folder after downloading the new beta

so you clean all the graphics and then use my optimized ones

and yes, there's literally nothing you can do. Once the vram gets full, it's over.

if it was temperature or usage it would be far easier to work around, but vram is something really important for performance, especially in games that are so realistic like this

GTX 1650 only has 4GB of VRAM, this is quite low, the game generally needs 6GB or higher, I think since the latest update, they are maybe using higher res textures, they have said this is something they would increase going forward, it could be this that is affecting your texture rendering

You should check in device manager what GPU drivers are installed and see if there's 2 being used. the amd one should replace the windows generic

Right click stat menu, click on device manager, investigate ur gpu and look at the driver verson in properties. You can remove and reinstall drivers here for windows if one is faulty. His game have been crashing a lot lately and he just lost his prime Patchy in the EU 6 Server for the 4 time this week. any time i try to nest, i have to go through this spazzing. Usually i can manage to get the eggs down, but in this instance i can not. I am only holding e down to place the eggs. Not touching anything else.

Also, this usually happens when i play as a female dinosaur and sometimes male, but i can not feed the kids at all. I get the prompt to do it, sometimes i dont, but i hold e and nothing happens.

this is not a keybind issue, not a "deleted the saved folder" issue. I have been dealing with this for months.

Did a little digging, and LInux automatically updates drivers with each kernel update. Unfortunately after the update the issue still happens. Going to limit my FPS and see if that helps since it only happens after a lag spike

Ok your CPU does play a roll in audio, turn off all other programs and media when gaming, cap your fps, it helps take some load off the CPU, cap at 30fps to see how stable it is, if all good, go to 60fps and test

Gotcha.. thats the easy anti cheat ...The error: dump_iaStorVD.sys is loaded but its file is missing.

That dump_iaStorVD.sys is a leftover Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST / VMD) storage driver stub stuck in memory.

EAC refuses to launch while a "loaded-but-missing" driver is present (anti-tamper safety). if you can follow these steps: Fixes, in order (most fixes stop at step 1):

1. Fully reboot the PC — not just close the game, a real restart (the error literally says "reboot to unload the driver"). Then launch The Isle first, before other apps reload the driver. This clears it for the large majority of people.

2. If it comes back after reboot — update/reinstall the Intel RST driver (that's the real culprit):

• Easiest: run Intel Driver & Support Assistant (intel.com/dsa) → let it update storage drivers, OR grab "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" from their PC/laptop maker's support page.
• Reboot again after.

3. Repair EAC + verify the game:

• Steam → The Isle → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
• Then in the game's install folder open …\TheIsle\EasyAntiCheat\ → run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe → Repair Service.

4. If still stuck: make sure Windows is fully updated, run sfc /scannow in an admin Command Prompt (repairs missing system files), reboot.

Step 1 fixes it ~90% of the time; step 2 is for the recurring cases. (FWIW our own /how-to/common-bugs-and-fixes page covers EAC launch errors generally — but the Intel-RST reboot fix above is the specific one for this message.)

I have had this work in the past.. no guarantees but Force DX11 by adding -dx11 to The Isle's launch options (Properties → General → Launch Options). Some older GPUs and outdated driver stacks won't initialize DX12 cleanly even when the install thinks they should.
