I'm honestly not very tech savvy either... but it looks like something in the background is taking up your memory. any applications open in the background can do this especially if you have low memory; such as streaming the game, multiple applications open at once, etc.. close the isle and make sure that there arent any applications secretly open in your task manager.

4gb for a gpu is very low nowadays

when youre playing, you can open task manager and see how much of memory its using

you will notice that once the dedicated one fills, your ram starts to get eaten

because the GPU needs more memory and its borrowing it from your system. But the RAM one is much much much slower than the gpu, meaning you will notice a worse performance and can lead to crashes

Hello, I am attempting to load the hordetesting branch and am running into the "Easy anti-cheat not installed" error.

Operating System is Windows 11

The steps I have already undertaken to try and solve it myself include:

• Running InstallAntiCheat.bat (both with and without administration privileges)
• Deleting the EAC folder and verifying files
• Reinstalling The Isle [hordetesting branch]

Something which appears to be noteworthy is that EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe is entirely missing from my local files, every installation method (verifying files, reinstalling the game, etc) does not generate it.

Well, unreal engine is pretty bad when it comes to that kind of stuff. At some point the devs are going to have to overhaul all information stored in the game and use a separate game server to handle it. Not some simple task anyone can do. It takes time and a ton of resources to handle a bigger game like this with a ton of players. Idk what they are working with but they aren't a AAA company I would imagine.

Typically it's hard to figure out what's causing those, so I can only recommend pretty basic troubleshooting advice.

Delete the folder called TheIsle in Appdata/Local, try verifying the game files or reinstalling, make sure your drivers are updated, maybe check for Windows updates too

Ight I have been having this issue for a while now, and apparent it hasn’t been fixed in the hordetest. My game runs very well, I get about 110-120 fps on high/epic settings. It all works well until sometimes it drops down to 2-10 fps for a couple of seconds and then it slowly creeps back up. Other times though it drops down and then seems to get stuck at 27 fps precisely until I leave the server and redoing (which somehow fixes the problem). Anybody got any idea what this could be? (tested all my components and updated all of my drivers, nothing is faulty or outdated or reaching temperature thresholds whilst gaming)

I am unsure if any of the most recent updates/patches have been directed towards fixing fatal error issues but regardless I will share my experience thus far.
Fatal errors are still extremely prevalent (as in I am fataling every 1-20 minutes in game, sometimes getting lucky enough to go without a fatal for about an hour or 2) and I have yet to find a solution to reduce the amount that I am experiencing.
If developers or any other more knowledgeable people have anything they would like my to try, I am more then willing to be a guinea pig for a bit.

The 5x Growth server is notorious for being quite buggy since it's a server primarily for testing.

Yeah, like I said, the 5x Growth server is heavily intended for testing. Moreso than the official hordetesting servers. So it's extra prone to bugs.

No, it'd notify you if you were banned.
I'd recommend clearing your config, validating game files.

That's a result of the new UI. The character selection screen doesn't currently display a health indicator like the previous one.
