Id say i have a NASA kind of pc, yet it runs only at 100-120 fps max graphics, and so my friend having a very old pc normally runs legacy at 80fps couldnt even load in. The only “fix” i found working is put resolution to 1 and try to get in a server thats half empty to see if it works! (It did for my friend that has 10 year old pc complete dog shi)

just as an update on my end I have followed the instructions and have Legacy and Evrima installed. Added the SteamappID text file with the numbers 376210. I have steam running as admin by default. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Steam, and the game a couple times along with verifying the game files. His computer and video card have just been updated. The only difference between our computers is that I am on Windows 10 and he's on 11. I had no issued getting the game running on my computer.

Gang I have an issue.
My game will not launch no matter what I do. When I open the game it gets stuck on the black loading screen before I even get a chance to see the main menu.
I've uninstalled and re-installed normally, I've manually uninstalled the game from steam and re-installed it, I've deleted my config folder and restarted, I've verified my files, my GPU drivers and windows version are up to date, I've uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers, I've created the WindowsClient folder and added Engine.ini and all that junk, I've cleared my Steam download cache, I've made exclusions in my antivirus AND disabled the antivirus/firewall entirely, I've tried making a new windows profile on my PC, and I've tried going to local files > Engine > Binaries > ThirdParty and there was no OpenXR folder to delete, if that even applies to Evrima now. It feels like I've tried literally everything and it does not work.
The game will also refuse to properly close unless I restart my PC, so if I try to open the game again without restarting, it tells me I already have the game open.
It just keeps getting stuck like this.

Do you have any idea about the AMD Ryzen 7 processor? I still have the same problem, despite reducing the system resolution, the lowest possible settings in the game and the 3D resolution set to 40, I did everything I found on YT, from increasing the memory, reinstalling the drivers using DDU etc. etc. and it only helped for a while, even though I have 40-60 fps in the game

Everything was working fine on HT, after the last update something started going crazy, so I played normally the same as on Evrima

I turned off everything in the background, overlays and other crap turned off, the graphics card usage even with the settings I have now is at 40%, this is strange for me

that's a common issue after the allo update, HT is not behaving well with graphic cards with less than 6gb

it started very recently

you can try some basic troubleshooting steps but for now there's no permanent fix

• clean reinstall HT by deleting the isle folder from %localappadata%

• clean reinstall the GPU drivers (can use DDU)

• clean the Shader folders from Nvidia (they're in your PC)

i spent a few hours earlier today growing a stego and came back and it was nowhere to be found

and it showed that it was there on that server when i went to log back in and then i logged in and was put on the dino selection screen

If ya'll answer hordetest issues: why can I not join servers? It just sticks me on the loading screen for an hour+ without giving an error message or anything, not an internet issue because everything else works fine. Just assume there's an error msg failing to trigger or smth

we actually don't know the "conditions", people have been guessing for the most part, some now are saying all you need to do is move over the map constantly (no afking) and it will get you prime

Unsure whether I have enough info to actually report this as a bug or whatever but ~ I have experienced a phenomenon I'm calling "ghost servers"

I was playing on US5 yesterday between the times of <t:1763398800:t> and <t:1763416800:T> with a few friends. After spending about two hours growing in separate areas of the map, we decided to meet up at a specific location. When we arrived, we couldn’t see each other in-game, nor could we hear the same dinosaurs calling around us, even though we were both 100% sure we were on a server named “Official Hordetesting US 5”.

The version of US5 I was in had only 19 players, and I had even run into one of them and heard several others. Meanwhile, the US5 my friend was on had 50 players. I tried logging out and rejoining their server, but I kept ending up in the same ghost server. I restarted my game and refreshed the server list multiple times, but it wasn’t until I fully restarted the game that the correct US5 server with 50 players finally appeared.
When I finally joined the right server, I lost all the progress I had made on the ghost server.

Has anyone else experienced this? (Fairly good chance this was resolved with the recent server wipe/restart dealio but ya never know)

hello! ive been wanting to get into hordetesting beta, but the isle will physically not let me play— i always crash with a fatal error.
for specifics;
i can click on anything! i can even go into the skin creator at a stable 30 fps (which, my fps limit is capped to) . i can do EVERYTHING the game offers—
except for loading into a server.
when i load into a server, it halfway loads me— ill go all the way in, until i see a blue loading screen. if a storm or weather event is going on, i am able to hear it— its just simply.. a blue loading screen with 3 blue dots in the lower left corner.
then, after a minute, it crashes and gives me a fatal error. when i joined a extremely dead EU server (im NA), i even managed to catch a glimpse of the character selection screen before it gave me a fatal error.
my laptop definitely is on the weaker end, it isnt even a gaming laptop— a hp envy x360. however, it runs evrima pretty well for a non gaming laptop. (roughly 30fps capped when on the normal evrima branch, official servers)

what ive tried;

• switching between hoardtest and evrima
• reinstalling anticheat
• reinstalling evrima
• hard reinstalling evrima
• verifying files
• deleting the config file

does anyone know if there are any other options to try? or does my laptop just hate me to the point that it refuses to run the servers

I used to get those errors when I only played at Fullscreen

then I switched to windowed Fullscreen and I never had it again (only from other sources)

all of my settings are at low, and it wouldnt make sense that my laptop can run normal evrima perfectly fine, and every part of hordetest (aside from servers) fine as well

id expect the skin creator to be at least a lil laggy if it was vram

though everything else is identical, people with less than 6gb vram cannot play HT

they can play evrima and enter skin in HT, just not the servers

sooo if your GPU has less than 6gb you can suspect it's the cause

Need some help, I've been trying to lauch hordetesting for 2 days now and it's giving me the "anti-cheat is not installed" error. I've tried verifying my game files and installing anti-cheat with the install file itself - with and without administrator but nothing has worked. Anyone know a solution?

Also I know the servers are down, just need to try fix this though.
