Well if you're getting BSODs then that sounds like you have either faulty driver of some sort, or a PC problem further then that.

Your best bet is to replicate the issue, search the BSOD error code it gives you, see what it refers to for the issue, and if you can't fix it, then reinstall Windows completely fresh, and make sure when you download drivers it either via windows update or the manufacturer's website only

Having an issue on evrima and horde testing branch. Game doesn’t get past this screen when looking for servers. Been trying off and on for the last week

There's no beta at the moment. Only the actual Isle game called Evrima and the ancient (maybe 6 year old version) called Legacy which is the default branch and basically has no players anymore. I'd not call Evrima the beta.

If your PC gets unresponsive on Evrima you either have not enough VRAM or RAM I guess

If anyone still has this issue, uninstalling the game and deleting all instances of the game files AND easy anti cheat in my documents did the trick. I also uninstalled another game that used easy anti cheat and deleted all the files there too just for good measure

Everytime I try evrima, the sound is just stuttering as hell while im walking around with pitch perfect 60fps

Start by verifying the game in Steam, then delete the games config folder to reset all settings

For instance I have 16GB (16384 MB) of RAM so my initial and max are 24576 MB and 49152 MB. This is much higher than anything will ever use running only a game but it has prevented crashes for me in multiple games over virtual memory allocation.

I don’t know what it’s due to but it only does it for me on The Isle and for the Deinosuchus. I was forced to go from 144 FPS to 30 so that it almost no longer bugs.
Otherwise the only other game where it made me was on ARK Survival Ascended but the problem only occurred if I played with a controller, there I play keyboard mouse on The Isle.

I'm still running 566.36 on my 1080Ti, the last driver before the 50-series came out. There was bugs reported that were absurd plus new drivers don't add performance, mostly an entry for newer games to have their own per game control panel settings. Sometimes habitually updating can be a net negative.

I think Evrima will run on anything 536.40 and later, just DDU and install a different driver. Guru3d has an archive of everything if it isn't available directly through Nvidia.

I am trying to understand if I can rebind the manual Alt Attack to a Mouse Thumb Button. I don't know what to check next, sorry. It was just that free space was not something you mentioned since you have already checked other things very thoroughly. Moving the game to a different SSD just in case it is a failing drive is possible (not likely these days but possible). I know my Samsung SSDs have their Samsung Magician test software that examines the performance of a drive. Perhaps your manufacturer has something similar? After that, I'm stumped. Sorry.

Since it sounds the heavy loss of performance is just on your instance of the game, it points to your computer or internet connection. It may be worth checking if something/someone else is heavily using your internet once the performance goes bad. Power the computer and router fully off and on then check if it is working as expected. Make a note of RAM/CPU/VRAM usage and play for a while. Once it slows down, check again and see what has changed.

A small bug(two) I just ran into as a Ptera!
First, if you nest someone, father logs off, you get the baby to sub, then you die while the nest and baby are still alive, you spawn back in able to make eggs still even without a partner or being adult!
Second, if you carry a fish, fly around to get swarmed by the birds, land next to another Ptera, you can kill a bird and the birds will STILL be there for the other Ptera, leading you to be able to get two birds. This one might work with more, but I haven't tested it out yet.
None of these bugs bother me, I just wanted to share them!

Hey, I need help getting Evrima to run — I keep getting an error saying “anti-cheat is not enabled.” Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

I installed The Isle on Steam and made sure I'm launching Evrima

I tried opening EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe from the game’s folder, but it won’t open

I ran it as administrator — still nothing happens

I temporarily disabled Windows Defender (real-time protection) — no change

I verified the game files through Steam

I deleted the EasyAntiCheat folder and verified again to force a redownload — still doesn’t work

I went to the official Easy Anti-Cheat website but couldn’t find the installer at first

I always launch the game using the EAC option from Steam but still get the error

Nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

1. the screen tearing is because of dlss, you can either just disable it or try the fix:

• At main menu, set dlss off
• when in a server, set dlss on

Seems you are thinking you were banned but that is not the case. The "Scanning frequencies" or "Connecting" bug is pretty common and happens occasionally to my knowledge. You can look through the pinned messages for a fix for it but I personally am not aware of how to.

Network failure between your PC and the Servers, even with Steam or Epic that host the official servers.. what it could be is a list as long as your arm.. google the issue to troubleshoot, sorry I can't be more helpful..

Hey there, my friend got a problem and it makes one server comepletely unplayable for her.
We logged into eu 10, I spawned in as a troodon and sent her the friend code. It began as usual, except for that she spawned under the map in water. It'd be fine if the next time she tried spawning it sent her into void.
I suggested waiting for her dino to starve since it was just falling endlessly, but the hunger randomly stopped going down and her dino info shows no dino there.

The only way to get that fixed is to dm Punchpacket to potentially have him wipe the server data for your friend, the admins have tried and are unable to unstuck

Hey everyone, I just came back to The Isle after a short break. When I got my pc I was able to play The Isle just fine. When I came back from my break I booted up the game at first it would instantly crash. Now i have maybe 5-10fps in the main menu, and 3fps in game.
