Old PC I didn't have the best internet speeds, Usually only got 2,3 bars like I am now but it was still playable. you should see something now called "fluid deffezient" or simular, if you drink several times freshwater and then saltwater you can gain a "secret" mutation called reniculate kidneys (you still have to chose the perk but to make it available you have to do the described process)

My FPS is often stable around 120, but it will suddenly tank to 20 FPS or less. Deleting the config folder helps, but it's only a temporary fix as the drops always return.

I'm experiencing a rare but very specific disconnect issue. It seems to only happen when I'm in combat with my Diabloceratops and use the alternate attack (the long-range gore).

It happened to me once in the past while fighting Dilophosaurus, and today it happened twice in a row during a fight with Omniraptors. I get the message "Client Disconnected - Error 2: lost connection with server" and am kicked from the game.

Is this a known bug related to the Diabloceratops's alt-attack, or could this be an issue with the server I'm playing on?

Noob here, I normally play with controller and have been trying to get the game setup via steam input to work well with it. Ive gotten it to feel pretty good actually, but no matter how I have tried to bind / set up manual alt attacking on controller, can't seem to get it to work right. At best, I can get it to work about 70% of the time by pressing the button I have bound for alt and the button to left mouse click attack at the same time. Due to not being able to get it to work as reliable as I can with the keyboard (press and hold alt, then attack to do the manual alt attack where your character turns to face where they attack), I am trying the setting in gameplay to toggle off manual alt attack. I notice now when I am standing or walking, attack will always make me do the more powerful manual alt attack. I am happy with the way this is functioning, it seems I can still do the weaker bite attack if I am running.

I have mainly been enjoying trying to play Dilo. I am still very bad at the game and haven't really gotten the hang of its mechanics, but as far as Dilo's venom, do manual alt attacks also apply the venom to targets you attack, or is it only the weak bite attack that applies it? (which, as described above it seems I only perform if I am running and hit attack)

Not sure how I can get manual alt attacks to input correctly via controller. For clarity, I have mapped everything to my controller as keyboard inputs as I found using regular game pad inputs was causing a bunch of miscellaneous issues.

so it's not good to do them, unless you want to do it behind/lateral, which is their purpose

some dinos though have better alt attacks, like beipi, but again, they take longer to be done and put you in a lock where you cannot move while they're active

With a 1080Ti you should be playing on High settings 1080p at 60fps
Whenever you change version or after a big update you MUST Delete the Config folder, especially important with a game in active beta development due to numerous engine changes

Unstuck isn’t working because of “moving” even when u are just stuck. It often happens when you are stuck in Rocks or threes. The command does not “see” that the dino isn’t moving just bugging up and down because of the narrow space.

if they think the temperature is too high, the clock will be reduced so they get less heat

I have been looking around this Discord for 10 minutes about audio stuttering and sound choppiness being a thing on evrima. Is there any way to make it less unbareable or has anyone found a possible fix?

I understand if there is no fix, but it has been such a struggle to listen when my audio is so choppy. I have made sure that my sound drivers and graphics drivers are both up to date, cleared my cache, and set my settings as low as possible, but I am still experiencing the issue. It used to not be like this either.

Is there any where I can look to find a potential fix that I am just not seeing?

you can increase it a bit using Nvidia app or Adrenalin

personaly i like to set my fps to 45, its the perfect mid-range between 30 and 60

Try this > set your 3D Res to 100%, set shadows and shadow smoothness to Epic, DLSS can also cause flickering, change its setting or turn it off to see, remember to update your GPU Driver as well

Sometimes hitting "Apply" in settings once your Dino is loaded in can help, some settings are known to get stuck
