That sounds like a known issue, it's caused by the antivirus program on the pc interfering with the game. He can either disable the antivirus, uninstall it, or allow an exception for the game. He'll probably need to look online to learn how to create an exclusion for the game

To reduce some graphical bugs and performance issues when changing to Hordetest (HT)

• Delete your Config folder to reset all settings (Do this every time after every major Update or Change of Version)

How to Delete the Config folder

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults, may also improve performance
8. Start the game.

Settings will have to be adjusted again

Also Update the GPU Driver and Windows to the latest versions

Ok you may have lost the Dino assuming your in the correct server to the recent server issues caused by Epic as they run the servers, any loss is permanent, it you are in Horde Testing, losing Dinos is expected on resets

It's possible this is caused by having your game installed on the wrong drive. Make sure it installed correctly.

Sometimes the server will show people still while it's still currently restarting. Just keep hitting refresh till ping is good and players are in.

So the isle has never done this before for me. But Easy anti-cheat has kept giving me the security violation error and launching errors that would blue screen and restart my pc. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game, verified the files (all were verified/there). Same thing is still happening. (I’m not at my pc atm)

Hi all! What to do if the troubleshooting things doesnt work? I tried uninstall anticheat bat file, and re-install it, I tried to verify intergrity of game files. Nothing helps and says Anticheat is not installed. Then when I able to fix this, then the game says json file is not installed? I can't start the game, what to do? 😒

but do keep in mind that they will unstuck you only if they're available

yeah both times i was a carno. I spawned up top and jumped off a cliff on a run and I had a hang time of about 4 secs and no death. 2nd time i was walking by west rail and it was no higher than to the knees and instant death me....both growth was the same +/- 3%

It keeps freezing. I use avast. And I tried my best with putting the isle and easy anti-cheat as exceptions.
I need my antivirus to prevent other stuff. But I’m not really sure if avast is the problem or not.
