I managed to fix it. For some reason my antivirus was hiding an essential file, just paused it and game worked

i am honestly not sure, i know when i had the issue it eventually just got worse.
I had a custom build so i sent my graphics card in to get evaluated & it was beyond the fix point so i had to get mine replaced.

If you are experiencing issues with your controls (can't move camera, unable to court, etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

Do a regular log out, not a safe one then relog, wait for a pz to appear then check to see if you still have it.

Otherwise, sometimes it just takes the server reset to fix the issue. Or if your dino dies, that also fixes it.

did you update your windows version in the end to a later version such as Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 23H2?

do you still have the nvidia rtx 3050 graphics card? (an i5-12400F and nvidia rtx 3050 (if you still have that) should be able to run evrima)

From what I saw he had a directx12 gpu. The error message said try removing the -dx12 launch option. I was going to ask if he had the launch option on, or off. I've been getting pretty low frames on evrima in the low 50s to 60s when before I used to get 100 - 144. I took a break from evrima for a few months and haven't noticed any dips in fps in other titles so my suspicion is that The Isle is at fault. Have you tried running a different game that uses EAC?
If you don't have one, VR chat is free and uses EAC. For some reason you can sometimes fix the "EAC is not installed" issue by closing the isle, running a different game that uses EAC, then closing that game and running the isle again

I'm never able to thrash (shake organs out of corpses). Anyone else ever have this issue? I know it's not a controls issue because for one, there's no specific controls for thrash in settings, for 2, I've actually done it ONCE while in a group and telling people on VC that I can never thrash, and they were telling me how, and I kept trying as usual and got no results, until suddenly and randomly it worked ONCE, then I couldn't repeat it lol. I mean I shake my mouse slow, fast, narrow, wide, side to side, forward and back, tried even twisting, I don't get it. I mean when the animal is too small that tapping G doesn't grab a piece of meat or an organ out of the body (when it's opened), it picks it up instead, which would be fine if thrash worked because I could shake the organs out and then eat them, but it doesn't work for me lol. I asked Kouga about it (well-known Isle youtuber) and she said this is actually a problem that numerous people have. It just works for some people and doesn't for others, even after reinstalling, deleting config etc. It's not tied to that, especially when there's no settings for thrash. Sucks

Okay so, The Isle is just not working because the frame rate is extreeemely low. I already did the %localappdata% stuff, but nothing seemed to help. So I started playing a few weeks ago and no matter what I do I cannot seem to make audio so I can hear footsteps.
The fact that basically every sound in the game is bundled together onto one slider does not help either though.
But is that a common thing or is something bugged on my end?

As even a horse which is only around half a ton makes quite a bit a sound when moving at speed.

And there is literally a mutation to increase it... but a 50% increase of nothing is still nothing.

That really depends on what is tied to what slider...
Because unless its set up well from the devs side how the game handles stuff that's tied to the same slider you can easily find yourself having to lower one that affects a critical one and basically give yourself a handicap.

And I know that for a fact as I have sensitive hearing and in games that tied critical and non critical gameplay sounds to the same sliders I am often having to compromise.

And you can easily set a floor for say environmental sounds that they simply can't be lower than, unless you lower the audio equally of everything else "Master"
