you could also make a copy of the GamerUserSettings.ini ... then load the game, make changes and then come out or switch out and look at the updated GameUserSettings.ini and compare to your GamerUserSettings.ini backup and see how they differ if at all?

in this folder:> C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

settings file :> GameUserSettings.ini

right click on GameUserSettings.ini and click copy and then paste into the same folder so it makes a copy of it

then you can open the current GamerUserSettings.ini and the back up copy and see how they differ after you made changes in the game settings while in the game ... ie. see if when you click apply say to audio or key settings you can check if the game changed anything as far as the graphics settings in the .ini file by comparing it to the backup version you just made

• you could edit the GamerUserSettings.ini file and make changes there directly instead of in game if you want to avoid clicking apply and having issue of the frame rate drop

• you might also want to check what your windows power settings are currently set at and also the power settings in the nvidia control panel are ... maybe the driver is altering depending on power usage?

update: having an intel i5 10300H cpu it has an integrated solution namely 'Intel® UHD Graphics for 10th Gen Intel® Processors' - so i wondering that you could try disabling the integrated graphics either in device manager (or in the bios as well if you feel capable of doing that ...)

that way the only graphics solution enabled and being used is the gtx 1650 ti ...

• check Device Manager - check which graphics card is default and what other graphics drivers/solutions are identified

open Device Manager by typing "device manager" or "devmgmt.msc" in the Windows search bar (windows key + R). Locate "Display adapters" and click on it

Right-click on the ones available and select "Properties", then "Properties" and select the Drivers tab and check the provider, date and version

(nb. if you need to you - you can disable adapters/drivers you are not using or enable them if needed)

so you right click on the integrated graphics driver and choose disable and then reboot windows and see if it helps with that fps issue later in game?

Thanks, Your VRAM is only 4GB on the GTX 1650Ti, which in itself is a very weak card for Evrima.. the game does require at least 6GB of VRAM, but 8GB or above is preferred.. VRAM is required for textures and resolution, so reducing those can help, play with 3D resolution first by dropping it bit by bit, turn Lumen OFF and shadows to low

I would recommend getting a new power supply, maybe 700W or 750W. You have a pretty decent GPU and your CPU is pretty good, although you should’ve probably spent more money on your GPU rather than your CPU. But it’s all good! Definitely recommend getting a new power supply. Your PC would get way better performance as it’s not able to use its maximum settings right now.

could be antivirus causing an issue ... you might need to add the Isle game / TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping.exe to your antivirus exceptions and/or remove the the isle game .exe from antivirus quarantine - see this post: #🔧-evrima-troubleshooting-🔧 message

(nb. after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again and runs ok)

Those PC specs are decent for the isle, if you can budget it, push out the 4060 and get a RTX 4070 instead, better bang for your buck.. then keep the pendrive plugged and run the file

but don't do it without a tutorial video, pick the motherboard brand first, place it at YouTube and search how to update it

If your using an integrated GPU in a laptop, you wont be able to play Evrima ever, if you have a Desktop, upgrading to a modern Dedicated GPU should allow you to play... if you do already have a modern Dedicated GPU, then all you really need to do is Update the GPU Driver and Windows to the latest versions

they can replace the damages product. And if they don't have the one you want, you receive a better one

but just updating the Bios proven to be enough, they're about to release the final microcode, so keep an eye on it when you start seeing it at the motherboard websites.

Just a heads up on the DLSS issue that looks like flashing or the screen gets pushed up to the top left with stripes being seen in all other corners, I updated my NVidia card to the latest current driver (565.90), never had the DLSS issue before and now it suddenly appeared, I reverted back to Driver version (560.70) and the issue went away.. use this information how you wish

yeah i noticed immediately that nvidia graphics driver version 565.90 doesn't retain the digital vibrance settings (color profile) so i have to keep setting it again in the nvidia control panel each time windows loads ... noticed others in different forums saying that 565.90 crashes, blue screens, freezing or other errors etc for them so they rolled back to previous driver ... i haven't had any dlss issues so far with the new driver but i do have v-sync on and fps limited to 60 fps on my nvidia rtx 2070/amd 5900x

If you don't have file extensions enabled, it might not have .bat in the name. You can also get to it through the Steam library, right click the game, then hover over Manage, then click Browse

1.) If running 'The Isle', exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R") to bring up search box.
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> Local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!).
4.) Find the 'TheIsle' folder and then go in to the Saved folder and then the Logs folder

open up TheIsle.log (or TheIsle if you have file extensions turned off) and scroll down through it looking for where it fails? eg. like it might say: region or language or locale - somewhere in the log that indicates something?

For that one, it might help to delete the config folders

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.

6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

If that doesn't help, you might need to reinstall the game

Sometimes as deinosuchus the night vision underwater will completely stop working. It'll just be black except for little plants at the surface. It seems to be location based as I can move around to a different section of a river/lake and it will return to normal. It has been repeatable so far.

When i dsy we trierd everything i mean we did it all fresh install , steam, all drivers not just gpu but also other ones, everyhting is up to date, and i just now double check to make sure the versions matched with the ones recomend from the prev msg. im on medium settings all medium running 140 fps to 120 fps consistently ive tried low, ive tried high.

If still having issues after checking exception in firewall, need to go to app local temp folder , delete the isle folder , deleted your cache , uninstall it , and re install it. But typically it’s antivirus thing if your crashing and can’t get to the menu of the game

I noticed a problem with a burrow. Its texture never stops growing. in the video I deliberately restarted my game with two completely different graphic parameters. but if we stay connected it becomes huge and take all the area and screen space and never stops

I tested with my graphics settings and settings at minimum, with or without DLSS as you can see but it persists. The only way to stop it is to dig it out completely.

could be antivirus causing an issue ... you might need add the Isle game / TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping.exe to your antivirus exceptions/firewall - see this post: #🔧-evrima-troubleshooting-🔧 message

(nb. after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again and runs ok)

• verify the game (in steam: right click on the isle - properties - installed files - verify integrity of game files)

you can type /unstuck in the in game chat might work or you can tag the @ official server admin role in the official server channel for the official server you are stuck in and mention your in game name and hopefully someone is available to help

nb. if the /unstuck doesn't work it could be because other players are close by ... you can also try logging out while your dino is still alive and logging back in later and the /unstuck command might work the next time

nb. there is a 'cool down' period after using unstuck command which i think has increased since the last update ... maybe 10 mins now or longer?
