Hello, i've been playing The Isle for couple of years, including Evrima but i've encountered a problem today that i cannot solve and i am quite upset about because there are friends who want to play with me, and i am unable. While turning the game on i recieved this message "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument." and no matter what i do, i simply cannot turn on the game. I HAVE played Evrima before and i NEVER had any issues, at least not any that i wasn't, please keep that in mind. I took small break from The Isle because of various reasons, one of them being feeling burned out in game and now that i found some friends who wanna play the game and i have found new motivation to play again, it doesn't work, so naturally i am quite upset. <@&933486433342222376> <@&818552355796287508> (hopefully i have understood the rules correctly to tag these accs, i apologise if not)

Also, make sure your windows system is up to date. You can do this by going into settings on the start menu and searching "update" go to windows update and click check for updates (Or update if one is available)

Hey. The game still won't start for me, but stays either on a black screen or the start page opens halfway and the game freezes on it. so just this morning I went to instal legacy since a few of my friends was playing it, but when I noticed how long it would take I decided to back out and just play some evrima alone for the moment when I got a very common error it seems "Unable to launch the isle, game already running/ Ive uninstalled and reinstalled it, restarted my pc. logged out of both my accounts, verified the files, dug through task manager agressively and still have not found a solution to this issue

If you are experiencing issues with your controls since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

Go into the isle files itself. So on steam right click the game > manage > browse local files > and you should see a install anti cheat and uninstall anti cheat files, double click the uninstall anti cheat to uninstall it (which takes .2 seconds) and then reinstall it (which also takes no time) and then relaunch the game! Should work just fine

Does anyone have either a solution or an idea of what may be going on with my friend's game?
They are encountering an issue I once had before with no conclusions or fixes.

":If it try to load into a server i will be stuck on the loading screen. If i do manage to make it into the server ill end up with a black screen and no option to select a dino (since i have none grown atm)
I have tried redownloading the game, restoring properties, etc"

I have checked Pinned messages on here for solutions. Friend has uninstalled, reinstalled, checked internet, checked files as needed and still are having this issue. They were able to play once before with no issues and this has seemingly popped up randomly. This issue also persists on Legacy and Hoard testing branches.

Please, might anyone have an idea or assistance with this? Or is anyone else encountering this issue? It usually absolves itself with either another update, or copious amounts of time. But that seems unfair to the player who has purchased this game with the intent of at least playing along side the current list of known bugs. This particular bug seems to be an unknown.

However, they were able to play the game no problem only a few weeks ago. So the specs wont really tell much since this issue isnt comp-involved. Its game-involved. It wouldnt make sense otherwise. The only changed factor is the game itself and the issue arose during a non-update time so its not that either.

Horde test branch is the stress testing branch. Because of this it receives builds that can have more problems due to it being a testing environment. If you would like a more stable experience I recommend the evrima or spiro branch.

Cause i think you have to install some gpu drivers for its peak preformance but i dont want that much of performance

so yeah, downloading it's drivers will make it much better in terms of performance

I believe other people have mentioned it, but has anyone found any solutions to the "out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource" bug yet? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my pc, and verifying my game files. No luck yet. My tech friend says that I have more than enough memory to run the game (I have 20GB of memory) its just that the game is briefly trying to use more than 20GB to open the game and it suddenly using 100% of my GPU make my game fatal error, and that its an issue that needs to be fixed by the game devs and not by me, but still I figured I would ask.

My pc crashed like 4 times playing on the hoardetest, all random and with no definitive cause. Other people in game said they don’t get the same issues. It also crashed on path of titans (but less frequently) so I’m convinced it’s me. Crashes ranged from fatal errors to freezes to freezes with shut downs. i got this message after the most recent patch

issue is, i've tried to update my graphics driver multiple times, and every time it completely breaks my computer to the extent it would crash constantly if The Isle was open, and even sometimes fully just shut off my computer. this is the ONLY fully stable version of AMD's drivers that has all of its features like recording & stream functioning i've been able to install, and was extremely annoying and tedious to do so.

is there any way around this that doesn't involve touching AMD's infamously unstable drivers?

I highly doubt that your memory is the issue, mine definitely wasn't. But if you want to check: task manager > performance > gpu (probably nvidia) > scroll to bottom where it says shared memory/dedicated memory/total memory (sum of shared and dedicated)

It's not about your System memory, the error is related to you GPU Video memory, if you have anything over 6GB you should be good.. updating your GPU Driver at this point should fix the issue

i have tried everything. i went through the whole process. DDU, installing in safemode, disabling my network adapters, using regedit to disable windows update, etc. there was ZERO improvement in performance (perhaps even worse performance) and then my drivers were constantly crashing, monitor flickering, computer hard shutting off multiple times over the course of a few hours. and then i had to go through this entire process again to downgrade my drivers back to their stable state, where now i have none of those issues. i am NOT touching my drivers again, but i appreciate the attempt to help

If u guys still need an answer: a mod told me that this happenes because when the migrationzone changes, then ur diets dissapear for a short moment. But sometimes it takes time for them to show up again. I also had that bug and after a few mins of waiting, it fixed itself

Start HT. Game is up maybe 5-20 seconds then crashes. Just started this new update.

But I got a steam deck OLED, the new version, set everything to medium, have my frames capped at 40 and tbh it performs exceptionally well for me, within reason.
