Everyone should do this anyway, but anyone having issues should try this

1. Delete your Config file, this will reset settings/controls and may improve performance:

Normally you would open Open file explorer > put %localappdata% in the ADDRESS bar, press enter, then find The Isle folder (the isle game should NOT be running) then > Save folder then > Delete Config > restart game

2. When you change graphics settings in almost all cases restart the game for it to stick and have the best effect

3. Update GPU Driver fully

afterburner is usually never installed, and always should be tbh. GPUs run with no fans on usually until 70 C

which is VERY HOT, download afterburner and throw the fan to 40%-70% and itll stay cool

Hey! I'm having an issue. I decided to try hordtesting today so I had switched from Evirma to Hordtesting. Hordesting booted up to the main screen before crashing. I tried to get back on it a few times. It crashed each time. I ended up deciding to go back to Evirma, so I switched. It keeps pausing my download or telling me that I cannot even after I uninstall EVERYTHING and make sure it is clean. It is telling me that I have a disk error. I have no idea what to do but I cannot play the game anymore.

Yeah. Honestly, what would be the danger level for temps? Cause mine fluctuates around 100 to sometimes 134F from time to time when playing Star Rail with CPU. GPU goes a bit lower. I'd assume trying not to play it for extended periods of time might be best.

I've not been able to join any server on The Isle since for the past week. I just recently started my computer again after about 2 months and everytime I try to join a server I have to wait for around 10 minutes whils't it is loading before i eventually get a "client disconnected" message. So it might be just optimization issue cause the max temp I got for CPU was a little over 156 F when the game completely froze, and that was when I had it charging (of course this was from Star Rail. Have to check with The Isle on how high it gets)

if you are genuine that you are not cheating/hacking then you could bring up a list of everything installed on your pc and look through it for possible reasons?

1. Windows Start - Settings - Apps - Apps & features ... brings up a list of installed apps on windows

and/or

2. this command finds installed software on windows installation and saves to a text file on the c:\ drive called 'AllInstalledPrograms.txt' or whatever path/name you change it to:

• press win key + x ... then choose Windows Powershell (Admin)

• then type or paste the following command and press enter:

• you can check what services and tasks are loaded/scheduled in windows services (services.msc) and task scheduler (taskschd.msc)

nb. obviously most of these services and tasks are genuine by microsoft and other 3rd party providers etc so it is learning and experience what is really required and what is excessive or potentially unwanted/risky services/tasks

Cant start the game after the update.
Updated the game and it loaded, splash screen appears with AE logo and then then game closes to windows, I try starting the game again and it says im missing this file, see screenshot.
I check the location and its missing, but its there after i change to legacy and game is updated. It gets removed when I run the evrima version and crashing to desktop and described above. If I run verify game files in steam i get the disk write error ( got 350 gb free on ssd ). I've updated other games today and only The Isle getting this error.

Something I've noted in game.. to get higher frames.. If you use DLSS and it's currently On, turn it Off, go back into the game, then Turn it back On, seems to be a bug were it wont register its on until you first turn it off.. works from me anyway, also helps with underwater NV

Yes, the update did wipe player's creatures. Its unfortnate to lose progress, but on larger updates it often has to happen to prevent other issues

<@&401466542140817419> hello. I’ve never had to many issues with the isle Evrima but since the latest hot fix I keep getting “fatal errors” and being kicked from servers. I’ve restarted my pc many times and my internet connection is very good, my fps on my end is fine. All my other games are working without any issue. I went into steam to verify the integrity of the game files, it did find 1 error and I fixed it but now the game is just refusing to open now. This is not on my end. I know of many others who are experiencing these same issues, I made the exception in my firewall but still won’t work. Please help me out here. Idk if the recent hot fix broke anything but it’s making the game hard and unenjoyable to play. Also all of the things I had grown have been deleted was this done for everyone?
