This is not the case, you have to go inside %localappdata% to manually delete TheIsle folder there. Uninstalling the game only removes the files from the Steam folder.

that's an issue with the easy anti cheat launcher. you can delete the files for easy anti cheat and repair the game files.

try launching from the theisle-win64.exe and see if it changes anything (probably wont.) Check your firewall settings or antivirus if you have one installed, it might not recognize the game and deny access. Could try to reset your dns settings manually to see if its causing issues.

lower the resolution in game with the 3D slider in graphics settings if you haven't already. if you're playing on higher than 1080P with an older 1650 card you're hurting your performance there.

For those unable to join the servers- Servers are currently displaying the wrong population number. If you're being kicked and getting the message that the server is full, it's because it actually is. Please keep trying and you will get a slot in time, there are hundreds of people trying to log into each server at the same time.

Hey I cant launch the game for days I tried uninstalling and reinstalling like 4 times and launched from the gamefiles. When I try to launch from steam or shortcut it starts to initialize but then stops before the title loadscreen, when I try to load from the gamefiles it shows an error that there are too many launch attempts, it seems it tries to launch twice for some reason.

You’ll us Command prompts. Open CMD, run it as administrator, type: ipconfig /flushdns (hit enter)
Type: netsh winsock reset (hit enter)

This will delete your DNS Cache. Restart your computer after this.

You can try to change the dns settings manually as well to see if using a different one makes the game playable.

I’m able to join both EU/NA servers. I doubt it’s server/game side unless it is something to do with steam or anti cheat.

Hey! I’ve tried the new update, and Gateway seems to run a bit better than Spiro for me. Stable 60 FPS in most places, although my PC is far from amazing.
What I found weird though was the water. I found a location with a cascade of waterfalls and a huge river, and every time my camera faced the water, my frames dropped to 10-15 FPS. It seems to have something to do with the way it renders, and I also noticed the reflections were a bit off: water looked almost white (because the sky was grey) and kinda glitchy.

I haven’t tried adjusting my settings yet, they’re all low and I’m running Ambient Occlusion (might be the problem). What would you suggest?

If you can. Go to your internet settings for WiFi/ethernet, click on properties, make sure IPV4 internet protocol version 4 is checked/applied.
Then hit IPV4 properties to open the DNS settings panel.

Enter one of these to see if they help in the 2nd box down that shows 1 preferred DNS and 2 alternate DNS.

Enter one of these in the preferred DNS at a time:
8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
Enter one of these in the alternate DNS at a time:
For the 8.8.8.8 use 8.8.4.4 and for 1.1.1.1 use 1.0.0.1.

Hope one of those do something.

Top box will be 8.8.8.8 bottom box will be 8.8.4.4 and same for 1.1.1.1 as the top and 1.0.0.1 as the bottom.

If those don’t work just click the box that says automatically provide DNS or whatever it says and it should put you back on whatever it was before.

AA & Super Res: FXAA or OFF
Global Illumination: Ambient occlusion or OFF
Ray Tracing: OFF (don’t think your card supports RT)
Motion blur: LOW
Lens Flare: LOW
Bloom: LOW
Shadows: LOW
Effects: choose your own but try LOW
Textures: Same as effects option
Materials: same as textures option
Clouds: static or 2D
View distance: close to medium
3D Resolution: (this doesn’t change much as far as performance goes in the game but you can mess with the slider.)

If you are using adrenaline then do this. If you don’t use it then ignore this.

turn off RSR, RAL, Radeon Boost. Those will all downgrade the image quality of the games you’re playing.

I have the same problem for the second day in a row. When I log onto any server (Official and unofficial), I am immediately thrown to the main menu. There are no errors or information about what the problem may be. I have updated the drivers, reinstalled the game several times and nothing helps. It’s probably anti cheat if there’s no error codes. You can uninstall and re-install the anti cheat files. Also make sure your computer recognizes anti cheat and isn’t blocking its actions or automatically setting it to disabled.

If you want to check if it’s disabled in the computers settings you can type in Services in the search/start bar on windows and click on services.

Find Easy Anti Cheat, right click, click properties and make sure it’s set to manual for the startup type. Sometimes windows blocks easy anti cheat from running in the background if it’s set on auto.

There’s also a command you can type that’s in “Run” and then services.msc then hit enter but it’s easier for me to just go to services.

This could be a bios issue since it’s related to a DX crash. Check your bios settings and go to PCIe generation or whatever it’s labeled by your bios. Switch it to gen 4 if your computer is newer (last couple years.) if it’s several years old use Gen 3 for the PCIe. This could fix the DX crash. Had to edit this: check you gpu (what PCIe is supports and your Mobo PCIe support before switching.

Could be your GPU’s software resetting the graphics settings. Mine used to do that until I disabled it. Sometimes it will auto run a “safe mode.” There used to be a page that showed how to change the settings in the games files. I can try to find it

To manually change your texture settings for those who cannot do so in game, do the following Press Windows key > Type in "Run" > Launch Run program > Type in "%localappdata%\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini" > find sg.TexturesQuality=x Set that to a lower/higher number > Press CTRL S (Save it) Textures=x, you replace x with a number. 0=low, 1=medium, 2=high,3=epic, 4=cinematic

Also side note: not sure if that still applies to the current game. It was an older thread I found. So if it’s no there sorry

Uninstall Anti cheat and reinstall. You can do that in the game files by clicking on the anti cheat folder. Maybe that’s causing an issue with the game crashing?

For uninstalling anti cheat I clicked uninstall anti cheat, deleted from app data, removed folder, verified game to get files backs, ran setup for anti cheat and install anti cheat .bat file. Still have the splash screen issue

I don’t have a lot of experience with the game not loading. But when it has happened it’s mostly been anti cheat causing an issue. If it’s not that then there’s some other steps to take but these are easy to check

If you want to check if it’s disabled in the computers settings you can type in Services in the search/start bar on windows and click on services.

Find Easy Anti Cheat, right click, click properties and make sure it’s set to manual for the startup type. Sometimes windows blocks easy anti cheat from running in the background if it’s set on auto.

Yes you can deleted the anti cheat files if you want. You then have to verify integrity through steam to regain it and then install.

theres an uninstallanticheat.bat file as well. try the file first. unless you've already deleted the folder.

if this doesnt work, delete the entire folder for anti-cheat and reinstall it by verifying files on steam. mine was solved through deleting the files, reinstall via the .bat files and .exe file., checked firewall, set to manual.

So here is a full list of steps I've tried relating to the splash issue:

1. Tried following pinned comment but no openxr folder is there

4. Launching game over .exe instead of steam.

6. Checking if easy anti cheat service is running (set to manual)

im pretty sure your's is an issue with steam itself. it think you're trying to run the game twice (or 10X). maybe try to re-install the steam applicaiton, im not sure on that one.

did that 3 times alrdy. thought that also but didnt help. even not a new windows. i got everything up to date. driver and update wise. went trough the troubleshooters. but so far all the things i tried didnt help. and everything else pc or games that i play are running all fine. only problem is with gateway. also spiro and legacy work fine. in start of gateway i could play it. and at some point. it didnt work anymore. but i darn damn dont know anymore if it was just not working anymore, or because me going back to spiro or after a update or some kind.

and the only encounter i came across on my pc was a ram malfunction. but fixed that.
