Playing any game that heavily relies on GPU power is not advised to play with integrated graphics, though.

That will make you have very bad perfomance if not a slideshow

Although that is nothing that'll temporarily fix the problem for you, it'll greatly help you in the future - that is buying yourself a dedicated graphics card.

I could be wrong though and it doesn't have anything to do with that, the minimum required graphics card for the Isle start at 3GB GDDR5 allocated video memory. It's just that these are more powerful than integrated graphics

I assume this is linked to your low FPS. So try to lower your graphics settings. Making performance better will perhaps help.

Evrima is a very GPU-heavy game so without a dedicated GPU you can't hope for better performance.

Legacy is waaaaay easier to run than Evrima. Legacy is a 2015 game that is already quite easy to run, while Evrima is a 2020 game that still receives major updates, so considering that it's actually more of a 2023 game.

The fatal errors are due to UE5, not really a problem of optimising. Optimising would be about having abnormally low FPS.

Yes, this is due to a sudden overload on your GPU making it crash. There are ways of trying to make the crashes either not happen or happen less, but it doesn't work for everyone. The devs are looking into that issue.

The crashes are due to an overload on the GPU so anything that gets the GPU to work less or to work more efficiently will either fix the issue or make it happen less often. :)

It's an issue with how UE5 render things from the information I gathered from people who encounter that issue with their own UE5 projects. The crashes happen even in extremely balanced systems, I haven't noticed it happen more often with people who have a pronounced CPU bottleneck. I don't think that's related.

Queue is quite buggy atm, as well as server numbers. Unfortunately it doesn't always work and ends up booting you even after waiting in line, nothing you can do about it.

Then your problem is Windows. What Windows edition and version do you have? Right-click on the Windows icon > System > scroll down to see the Windows specifications.

If the usual EAC fixes don't work, your friend can try to install and run a game that uses EAC. For example, VRChat, since it is free. Run the game, then exit it. Then run The Isle again. It should fix the EAC problem.

There's your problem. Your Windows version would need to be 22H2. Problem is I don't know if you can get it with that edition of Windows. I believe only Windows Home, Pro and Education can have the latest 22H2 version.

My Steam updated The Isle and Steamworks Common Redistributables when I booted my PC today, and now when I launch the Isle, it seems fine for several seconds - and then crashes suddenly while I'm still in the menus/server browser. I seem to have trouble connecting to servers at the moment, was fine yesterday night, now it has given me a total of x3 different errors, has there been an update from yesterday on Steam, The Isle or Windows? I can't seem to find the issue. Validated files, they were fine, that allowed me to find servers, now I can't find servers and when I could I waited in queue (18/20) on EU3

maybe this could have interfered with Steam / Evrima security? First error I got was that my Steam online Subsystem was malfunctioning. After that I got an error for my local anticheat which resolves by validating files usually.
Then I didn't really get an error message, but I did get an issue finding servers. They weren't loading in, and when I got 1/20 queue, it said "connecting" then just froze like that for 10 minutes, not connecting to the server.

The subsystem resolved after a PC reset (First thing I try on an unusual error).

However, the Queue system has a pattern to when it works and when it doesn't. I found most of the issues I get is when the queue is 99/100 you can connect just fine, sometimes even skipping queue. WHen it's 100+/100 you get in queue, usually works flawlessly (Until now). When the player count is >10 in deficit of 100 (I.e; 90 or less/100 players) The queue won't even start and you get stuck in a connecting loop.

What I'm experiencing now, is even though I connect to the servers, I get met with a "Connecting..." loop. I would assume this has to do with my previous errors, but I can't really promise that.

I put around 1.3k to 1.5k , total makeout , Im so happy!

Lots of settings you can tweak to improve FPS while retaining good fps. I get 60+ everywhere and the only option I don't have enabled is ray tracing, while also gimmicking with the other settings.

The only times my FPS wavers is when daytime becomes nighttime and vice versa as the light seems to trigger shadows in a weird way at those times

Make sure you're using updated graphics drivers and not old ones. That error happens when your GPU can't perform it's operations in the permitted amount of time. This happened to me too, if you are overclocking your GPU try turning down your core clock around 20-30 MHz then try to play again

I'm sorry, those are integrated graphics and only a couple of more powerful integrated graphics can run The Isle now that it uses DX12-only features. :/ It is best to have a dedicated GPU to be able to play heavy games like Evrima.

i've been on NA 7, on the server select screen it says the ping is 70 but in the game it gets over 300 in some places. I will try a different server i guess

Nothing you can do for the ping issue, it's server-side.

I find that odd since every server is having it, I tried NA/EU official as well as one of the unofficial servers

all say 100 or less ping in server browser, then 400+ in game and teleporting everywhere

DDU, updating drivers, unintalling reinstalling both drivers and the isle. Config and saved folders for the isle, and a bunch of other crap i forgot the name of. Checking my BIOS ect, memtest. Checking my fans

If you open your crash log does it show an error?
Type %localappdata% in the Windows search bar > TheIsle > Saved > Crashes > open the folder whose date is closest to when you crashed > open the text file called ”The Isle” and scroll all the way down; is there an error message showing up there?

Let me see. When i crash/freeze there is no error, it freezes my oc and i have to manually shut it down and turn it back on (the pc) for anything to work

Says it's an Anti-Cheat Integrity Check failure, has the game not had Linux Support Enabled?

I have the Runtime installed for Proton so I don't see any particular reason why it should be failing
