I have a problem, since the update my graphics have become so bad, even though I have everything set to Epic, it looks like Minecraft. I didn't have that before the update, everything was so nicely detailed and how it should look when I have the settings on Epic. In addition, my FPS have also gotten much worse since the update, before the update I had 144 FPS almost continuously (even with settings on Epic) and only when I was center or NW I get about 90-120 FPS, but now I can't get over 100 FPS, most of the time I have 60-70 FPS now and when I'm center or NW I have 20-40 FPS. How can something like this happen and what can I do about it?

Some possibly useful information regarding fatal errors and game crashes while eating as a Cerato (at least that's when I've crashed most often).

It appears (at least in my limited testing) to only crash when eating player corpses, I didn't crash while eating 2 boars. I also found some info online from similar UE crashes about resetting any custom Nvidia control panel settings to default values, which (as soon as I get back into the sever) I can hopefully test. Each time the crash happens, after reconnecting to the server, the dino is in the same position and condition as it was before the crash, I do not know if it's performing a standard logout of the game (with the dino sitting in the same spot for a few minutes), or if the dino just disappears from the game upon crashing.

I have no idea if this is useful for anyone, I'm just sharing my findings and it may help to narrow crashes down for others.

Edit: I updated Windows to 22H2 from 21H2, logged into server, managed to kill and eat a pachy on EU1, no crash/ error. Logging out now though to save dino. Will do more testing soon.

Hello, trying to play since 3 hours. Could not get it to work. Always the second I join ANY server, it crashes.
Also reinstalled windows just in case. Updated all drivers, also manually (also the nvidia drivers. yes from the website). also added the .dll to the game directory. also verified the game cache many times. tried reinstalling again. Your GPU shouldn't even technically run Legacy. Your card is too old and you will need to upgrade your pc. As time goes on and games update and look better and better, older and older cards for pcs will be shifted out. You can try using nvidia GeForce now, the game streaming service when evrima is the main branch. But for now you cannot run the game.

1. Install The newest DirectX from Microsoft website , https://download.microsoft.com/download/1/7/1/1718CCC4-6315-4D8E-9543-8E28A4E18C4C/dxwebsetup.exe

2. Make Sure you're GPU Is updated Aswell.

3. Go to Steam - The isle - Properties - Installed Files - Browse - Press Common , find ( The isle ) delete that folder

4. W + R - Type ( %localappdata% ) Find TheIsle < Delete that folder

5. Install The isle

6. Go to Properties - General - Launch Options - type ( -High )

7. You're done .
