you can try updating drivers, running the cmd sfc /scannow to check for system corruption, or manually re-installing the game. but I keep getting that one and haven't found a fix for it yet :/

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
8. Restart the game. The issue should be fixed.

depends on the manufacturer. I'd strongly recommend searching Device Manager, finding your device's display adapter to get the brand and make/model, then going to their website and downloading the driver from them. if your GPU's manufacturer provides a UI for it (like Nvidia's GeForce,) you may also be able to update from that

For those with that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" issue, there are some steps you can do to solve it

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle"

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

Go to the game folder. Right click game in steam, properties, local files, browse.
Should send you here: steamapps\common\The Isle

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.
Run the game, now it installs EasyAntiCheat for you.

• Right Click The Isle [Evrima] in steam.
• Properties
• Local Files
• Browse
• Open EasyAntiCheat Folder
• Double click EasyAntiChaet_EOS_Setup. Most likely nothing will happen.

first off, you need to look up if your GPU supports DX12. if it doesn’t, then unfortunately you can no longer play Evrima (for now, at least)

Can you please run Dxdiag and send me the file via DM? Type ”dxdiag” in the Windows search bar and hit enter. It will open a window. Click on ”Save all the information”. It will download a file, send me it.
Then type %localappdata% in the Windows search bar, hit enter, locate TheIsle folder > Saved > Crashes > click on the folder whose date is the closest to when you crashed > locate a text file named just ”The Isle” and send me it too

The one time I was able to get in it just said 'lost connection'. The rest of the times it just says connecting and will stay 'connecting' indefinitely - I have left it for 10 minutes and it still said connecting

It might be due to the server being full, at least for the ”connecting” problem. If you play on wifi, try with ethernet, the connection should be more stable.

I am on ethernet and it happens even on private servers with 20/100 people. If I try to join the servers that have like 94-95 it kicks me saying 'full sever' after like 5-10 seconds. But if it is a server with few people I just get an indefinite 'connecting'
