^ this happened to me when I switched back from the stress test. i went into the isle folder and deleted my saved file and everything went back to normal. however this does delete all saved skins.

it fixed the issue and my game has been running perfectly since

Is there something that can bge done against rubber banding / Ping spikes?
I usually sit between 50 and 80ms on official eu-servers, but all of the sudden the ping starts increasing up to 350, stabilizes around that and slowly decreases back to normal after some seconds, sometimes after a minute. It happens on official servers only, Ping is stable on Islander, The Zoo, TooFullSurvival etc

The DX12 one? Yep. Update 6.5 runs on Unreal Engine 5 and uses DX12-only features. You therefore have to update your drivers and your Windows so that your PC has what it needs to properly run those DX12 features.

Normally the one on the DDU website is pretty clean and on-point so I doubt you messed it up. There are several people encountering the same problem as you or similar, it's not certain what causes it. You can try this:

If you have a black screen upon startup, you can try to:

• hit the F11 key to try to put the game in windowed/fullscreen mode, if it doesn't work try with alt + enter;
• verify the game files through Steam;
• delete the Saved folder in %localappdata% > TheIsle;
• make sure Windows and your graphics drivers are up-to-date;
• allow the game through your firewall and disable third-party antivirus software;
• force the game to start in windowed mode by manually changing the game settings in %localappdata% > TheIsle > Saved > Config > WindowsClient > GameUserSettings (open it with the note pad or any other text editor);
• run the game as administrator;
• update other drivers such as monitor, audio, network, etc. in Device Manager;

It might be because you get in the server at the same time as someone else, so you get kicked because there is no enough server slots for both of you. There is a new patch, download it and then try again. The servers will not be as full if you have a fast internet connection.
