Does anyone know why I keep losing connection every couple minutes after joining official servers? Have tried restarting the game, the pc, have reinstalled the isle and steam, updated my driver, repaired the anticheat service and its still happening. My internet speed remains stable the entire time.

It might be because of a third party VR application. Give this a go:
Go on Steam, right-click on The Isle.
Select ”Properties”, go to ”Local files”, then click ”Browse local files”.
Inside the Isle folder, go to Engine > Binaries > ThirdParty.
Find OpenXR and delete it.

In your Windows search bar, type %localappdata% and hit enter.
Locate the Isle folder, delete it.
Relaunch the game.
(Note: this will also reset your custom settings and skins.)

Go to the server chat corresponding to your location (#evrima-eu, #evrima-na, etc.) and ping the Official server admin role.
Give them your username and the exact server you are on.
Log out and come back online when an admin tells you to, as not to die from starvation or thirst.

No idea for laptops, but if you can consider building your own PC, a Ryzen 5 5600 as CPU and a RX 6600 (XT if possible) as GPU are very good value (it's as cheap as a mid-range gaming PC can get) and will run Evrima smoothly. Also make sure to get at least 16GO of RAM. (:

It could yes, especially if outdated. However, try right clicking on your desktop and see if something called Nvidia control panel or AMD Radeon settings shows up as one of the options

the anti cheat keeps saying it isn't installed, and since I can't uninstall it I just uninstalled the whole game and reinstalled it

it's still saying it's not installed so I'm kinda stuck on what to do now

If you tried all the fixes from that link, the last thing I can think of is trying to delete the "EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys" file and then to reinstall EAC.

It's default path should be in "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS",

• Go there and delete the .sys file
• Then, go to your games folder and delete the EAC folder
• Verify your game files over steam
• Unintall and install Easy-Anti-Cheat over their .bat files again (Feel free to ask if you don't know how)

Maybe a manual uninstall could help. That's the only other thing I can think of right now, sorry ):

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
It will however delete the Skins you have saved to presets, so you might want to save those first.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

We got an answer on this: it is no longer possible to find a working work-around to play Evrima on GFN.
The devs said they would announce it in advance when they plan to delete Legacy. I also think it would be better if they just swapped the two branches so that Evrima becomes the default one and Legacy becomes the beta one. Usually outdated versions of games are available as beta branches anyway.

All your progress of your Playables is saved on the servers, not locally.
Besides your Settings, I don't think there is anything to save.

I was on a server (eu3) and I was attacked by pteras as a carno, during the fight i could'nt bite or charge anymore nor rest and my mouth was wide open. What exactly do you call flickering, do you have a video? What are your settings and your PC specs?

You surely had a ghost piece of meat in your mouth. Taping G could surely have helped, it would have dropped the ghost piece of meat. Alternatively only quick-logging would have helped, which you did by alt F4, but I hope you made sure to hide somewhere since your character stays five minutes in-game.
The server is full despite showing a lower number than 100. It's because it doesn't update in real-time. Keep trying and you'll get in eventually.

Hello everyone, I am having trouble starting The Isle Evrima, on steam I would click play and it would proceed to say launching, running, then would go back to asking me to press play. Nothing to do with loading the game appears on screen a part from steam saying it is running for 2 seconds. I have seen this is a common problem within the community, I have tried many popular fixes but nothing has worked and I haven't been able to play the game for around a week. Please help, and do spam me with pings if anyone replies, THANK YOU!

I run the Isle on High settings and can get about 45-60 fps with an RTX 3060 and 32 GB of RAM (16 will do just fine, but don’t choose 8, you’ll probably have problems). The isle isn’t very CPU heavy so that shouldn’t be an issue, just find something compatible with your GPU.

I can't play the game with Epic settings.

It saves, until I attempt to join a server and if the server is full and I get booted back to menu screen, it reverts.

I'd recommand taking a screenshot of your Settings before doing that, so you can restore them if something changes.

If none of those fixes worked, you can try doing this:

1. go to "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS" and delete the EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys file.
   If you don't see the ending .sys, it's just the file which doesn't have the blue bear as a symbol
   (see first picture)

2. For the second step do this:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder

3. Then verify your game files over steam:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Veify integrity of game files

4. After that, you go back to the game folder and use the batch files, it's like in the fixes you already tried:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• double click these two files, in the order of picture 2. A terminal might pop up for a second, but else nothing visible will happen.
  And again, it doesn't matter if you see the .bat

5.) Now see if that fixed it

What can I do when the admin haven't been responding for weeks and my stego is stuck? Im a causal player and I dont want to have multiple stegos/grow new ones every time my stego gets stuck in a tree. I've tried the /unstuck command that eyeseeyou told me to try (didn't work); i've tried logging out and back in many times; tried pinging the offical admins like the pined message says, and no response; at a last ditch effort I dmed the admin krow that has been online and never got a response back. Is it time to give up and just have my fg stego that's been through many life threatening things die to a tree?

Graphics Resetting Bug
After some testing and asking a few people, it seems that setting your graphics to the way you like them. Then navigating to AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient and setting your GameUserSettings.ini file to READ ONLY will keep your graphics settings the way you prefer them BUT When looking in game, they will all show as EPIC. So dont worry if they show as epic, they should still be your normal settings.

I dont know if this is the issue i think it is, But keep your anti aliasing on epic. That fixed a lot of the shadow issues for me. I also had to mess around and find the best Anti-aliasing method for me (which is TAA) Hopefully that helps?

Whenever I play deino, when I eat there's a chance that this really loud and annoying sound will start looping endlessly. Best way I can describe it is kinda like white noise static, or maybe shuffling around in bushes mixed with a waterfall. It will stay, the server saves it not your computer. Skins however will be wiped

Only saved skins, no skins on dinos already in game. However there is a work around. Follow this:

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder.

Move TheIsle folder and to somewhere safe or your desktop. When you install legacy a new file will be made and no skins or keybinds will be removed. Just remember to replace the old file with the new one when returning to Evrima

You’re firewall and/or antivirus may also be issue so make sure the isle is allowed through them as well

It wouldn't hurt to look into upgrading your gpu, especially to use all of UE5's capabilities in the future, however for now you can try a couple things. Only run the Isle when playing. Do a PC shutdown and back on and only run the isle. If other apps pop up that you have set to do so on turning on your pc, close them with task manager. This will ensure as many resources as possible are used to run the Isle. I'd also look into cleaning your system, get rid of old files and such. Finally, manually clean your pc, especially your fans and vents.

hmm, besides checking if you have the latest drivers installed and if there's a windows update, you could try these fixes. I'm not sure if they'll help you specifically, but they've generally helped people before with Fatal Errors.

1.) Clear your Steam download cache

• Open Steam
• Select “STEAM” on the upper left corner
• Go to Settings -> Downloads
• click on [Clear Download Cache]

2.) Firewall exclusion:
Do you have an Anti-Virus Program ? If you do, make sure it's not blocking the game.
You should be able to add an exclusion for the "The Isle" steam game folder
(I mean the folder under:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files)

Else you could also try adding an exclusion to your windows Firewall, this post should explain it well:

3.) A complete manual uninstall.

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.

For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

4.) Swapping to Legacy and back, that helped a few people before too

Hello, I bought the game yesterday. Loving it but I'm suffering from disconection from oficial servers. Usually is just "Host connection lost" or something like that, but today this mesage pop-up. I have a 600mb opticfiber internet, a 2023 new router and a mid-high end PC (16gb ram - 2060Ti - i7 10 gen) so I dont think its a hardware error. And yes I tried to turn off my firewall

The servers have been crashing a lot recently, that message in particular looks like a crash/restart. The scheduled restart times are pinned in the server channels ( #evrima-na, #evrima-eu, etc) but of course it's impossible to predict crashes

Hey, I'm having an issue after a few mins of playing, ill get DC'd saying connection to host has been lost, when I try to rejoin I get this error. Its very consistent after a few minutes of play. Any ideas on how to fix this?

If nothing works to fix it, yo ucan also try doing this:

1. go to "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS" and delete the EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys file.
   If you don't see the ending .sys, it's just the file which doesn't have the blue bear as a symbol
   (see first picture)

2. For the second step do this:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder

3. Then verify your game files over steam:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Veify integrity of game files

4. After that, you go back to the game folder and use the batch files, it's like in the fixes you already tried:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• double click these two files, in the order of picture 2. A terminal might pop up for a second, but else nothing visible will happen.
  And again, it doesn't matter if you see the .bat

5.) Now see if that fixed it

You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

also Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go.

Do the AIs stop appearing once you grow into an adult? I was on a nearly empty server running around the map with my carnotaur growing it. I was from sub adult to adult without seeing a single AI, not even rabbits or chickens.
I ended up starving and without a single nutrient. Is that normal or does the game force you to hunt players?

AI spawn in specific locations, and it feels as if they respawn shortly after being killed. so aslong as you are in an area where AI spawn, you should be able to continue to hunt them
