hm, I'm not super knowledegable in this area ): but I think a rx 580 isn't great for Evrima.
I think the bottom line of playable for Evrima are Graphics cards on paar with GTX 1070, maybe 1050
So that could be a reason.
Else a good CPU and 16gb RAM are important.

You could try resetting your configs, that will reset all your graphic settings and your custom keybinds, so I'd recommand taking a screenshot of those first if you want to make sure you can put everything back.

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
5.) Open the Saved folder
6.) Delete the Config folder
7.) Start the game again

70-85c is the normal range for GPUs during gaming sessions, if your GPU is 70-75 that just means you have good cooling // fan curve, 85 range is for people with cases that are compact, or less cooling in them

At the very top left of your Steam client there should be some small text such as “Steam, View, Friends, Games, Help.” Click on Steam and open the settings menu.

In the little window that opens up select the “In-game” tab and set the “In-Game server browser: Max pings/minute” from 5000 to 500. You can play around with this a little to if it doesn’t work on 500, or set it back to 5000.

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

It has also been known to be caused by strict permissions with a Windows User Account and/or strict Anti-Virus settings

Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go. You may need to create a new Windows User account to bypass the issue.

Then I searched for the “the isle” folder and found nothing,next I ran the game but it says that it has a mistake and some files not found

hm ): maybe try this:

1. go to "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS" and delete the EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys file.
   If you don't see the ending .sys, it's just the file which doesn't have the blue bear as a symbol
   (see first picture)

2. For the second step do this:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder

3. Then verify your game files over steam:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Veify integrity of game files

4. After that, you go back to the game folder and use the batch files, it's like in the fixes you already tried:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• double click these two files, in the order of picture 2. A terminal might pop up for a second, but else nothing visible will happen.
  And again, it doesn't matter if you see the .bat

5.) Now see if that fixed it

its only in my new one now

i also last night tryed uninstalling the game and reinstalling to no avail

before i deleted anything one of the quick start ups was for the legacy branch thats how i knew they were both installed at the same time

You can go to #evrima-na (or whichever server you play on) @ official server admin (without the spaces so it pings the yellow role) with your in game name and server.. But it can take some time, try relogging, then move before stuff loads.. Or starve to death and then re-grow might be faster than waiting :D

It's a bit weird, OpenXR is a microsoft software that's used for VR stuff.
That's why I asked about VR-games, but even people who never really did anything with VR can have it installed on their PC.
And it seems like some VR-Applications cause an issue with the game, probably with the EasyAntiCheat version it's using.

We also had a case where the Oculus App was causing this issue for example, so it just seems like it's something with VR-applications that conflicts

Hey so somehow I fixed the issue with Evrima not launching and idk if this was the actual fix or not
But I went back to legacy for a bit (for a few days) then before I decided to switch back to Evrima I verified the files of Legacy, Then switched back to Evrima and once it was done It launched perfectly fine. Not sure if this is where I would put this but yeah anyone who may have the issue you can try it :]

Hi I’m just gonna resay this because I was a bit brief but I normally play the Isle on Windowed Fullscreen Mode and I accidentally pressed the F11 key and it set my game to Fullscreen mode. This usually has something to do EAC or your antivirus. Try allowing the isle thru your antivirus. You can also try deleting the EAC .sys file, located in C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS. Just delete the the file ending in .sys.

That's really strange

If you're stuck you can try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Tell them your in-game name + your specific server, so they can unstuck you.

Though all Official server admins are volunteers, and might not always be available!
If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a response.

You can also try setting it over your ini file directly.

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5.) Open the "Saved" folder, and go into the Config folder.
6.) Open the WindowsClient folder.
7.) Open the "GameUserSettings.ini" (for you it might just be "GameUserSettings")
8.) Look for the section I selected in the picture.

The settings are as followed: Fullscreen = 0 , Windowed Fullscreen =1 , Windowed = 2
So it should be 0 in all 3 for you. Try setting it to 1, all three of them.

Alright, so I just went through the command prompt to do a scan because I got this issue. Never had this happen while running any other game, had it happen a few times months ago playing the isle. Did a system scan and a driver scan. I went ahead and added the exclusion in my anti-cheat. Gonna restart pc and see is issue persists.

I've been having the same issue for the past week and it's been driving me crazy. Evrima keeps crashing without any error; sometimes right before the menu loads, sometimes before the first Unreal video loads, but it's getting to a point where I have to spend hours at a time fumbling around before I can even play. I have already:
-Restarted my PC
-Reinstalled Evrima
-Checked Windows Updates and Geforce Drivers
-Verified Legacy before switching back to Evrima
-Troubleshooted EAC (deleting/verifying files)
-Deleted OpenXVR (and any VR related software)
-Added vcruntime140_1.dll and steam_appid.txt to their respective directories
-Ended TheIsle.exe through Task Manager when EAC loads
...and it's a gamble whether I have to go through this nearly every time I want to load up the game. I really don't want to reset my PC just to be able to consistently launch the game. Is there anything I can do?

You can also try scanning for malware or viruses as they can eat up computer usage and cause the game to be unable to load since it doesn’t have enough resources to do so.

Usually doing 1 of the 3 solutions in the first pin works. Sometimes it takes two tries to work. You can also look for solutions on EAC website. Other than that, ensure the isle is allowed through your antivirus and firewall.

It's almost certainly an issue with the map and how it loads, and the devs are currently working on a new map called Gateway. Stress testers got to play on a preview of it, and a lot of people had a more stable experience. No ETA on when/which update it'll release, though

It's probably too late now ): but If you're stuck you can try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Tell them your in-game name + your specific server, so they can unstuck you.

Though all Official server admins are volunteers, and might not always be available!
If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a response.

You should be able to add an exclusion for the "The Isle" steam game folder
(I mean the folder under:

All good, that's what I needed. Unfortunately that graphics card doesn't meet recommended (I think minimum) requirements for Legacy so it probably won't meet them for Evrima which is likely part of the problem. You're computer is likely over clocking to make up for things because of your specs causing the D3D device to disconnect. Definitely would be worthwhile getting an upgrade on your GPU to at least a Nvidia RTX 2000 series.

That's a good GPU if you're on a budget, however not if you're looking for serious FPS. Probably could get around 30-40FPS on low to med settings (expect a 10-15 frame drop for high and double that for cinematic settings) is my guess based on some quick research.

Try checking other servers and make sure you have the right one. Occasionally the server deletes your save file resulting in the loss of your Deino. Sometimes safelogging doesn’t work fully, it’s always important to wait the whole time until the main menu screen appears.

The third option you just have to follow that directory. Another way of doing so is right clicking on The Isle in Steam, then manage, browse local files and double click the InstallAntiCheat.bat. Most likely nothing will happen. Just to make sure, you arent running the isle while doing these fixes correct (you don't know how many times people have done that)

Anytime you run? Maybe there's a render issue. Update your GPU, make sure you're not overclocked. Check your task manager while running the game to see if your CPU is at 100%. (GPU use doesn't matter)

Hello, I ran into such a problem. If in order I'm shooting a YouTube video using Shadow play. Yesterday, for no reason, my recordings specifically The isle, and instant replay and regular recording stopped working. When I turn on the recording, it just turns on and off immediately. This channel is for evrima troubleshooting and unfortunately this isn't really a game issue. I know when I screen record in games if I don't record in game (instead of the screen) it won't work and if I click out it stops recording. If no one has any solutions or you don't get a response, I'd suggest looking for solutions online or in shadow plays discord/site (if they have one).

8 GB of ram is quite low for not just the isle, but most modern games. Legacy at a minimum needed 8GB to run with recommended being 16, with Evrima being even higher. If you are able to, I'd suggest looking into upgrading your ram. With that said, GPU and CPU are on the edge as well, but should be okay to get 30 FPS on low settings.
