I've legit scoured through all the troubleshoot recommendations. On the up side i now make it to the main screen, on the downside my game still just closes.....Ive tried uninstalling, deleting folders, checking all my drivers etc, making exceptions in my firewall and still this game will no longer launch properly.

Ah that might be why. Both your GPU and ram are under the recommended for Legacy so they are certainly under recommended for Evrima. You can try updating your drivers and see if that helps. Try running task manager as well and see if anything reaches 100% or just gets really high while trying to open the Isle

Yeah, I’m guessing your memory is the issue. You can try upgrading it to 16 GB, that would make things a lot better for all processes across the board. however given you have a laptop, it could be a difficult.

Ark would take up storage, not RAM. RAM is used for short term memory, such as finding a process or doing something that needs to be found near instantly

@hearty cedar I'll be off now ): but if you tried all of the potential fixes from the link above, you can try deleting the "EasyAntiCheat.sys"(maybe "EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys" for you) file.

It's default path should be in "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS",

• Go there and delete the .sys file
• Then, go to your games folder and delete the EAC folder
• Verify your game files over steam
• Unintall and install Easy-Anti-Cheat over their .bat files again (Feel free to ask if you don't know how)

@autumn valve @wind zinc i finally got it to work. This is what helped me. mine didn't have the .bat that i could see, but when i double clicked on it, then it did something and after that it worked.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle"

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

Good day, I've been trying to make evrima work since the day it went public, but to my surprise, I cannot change any of my settings.
When I log in a server, I cannot move which is really annoying, nor can I use my mouse to look around.

What's even weirder is that, even though my game is in english, the ingame texts are in french ??

One more thing, I keep trying to go into my "The Isle" folder (steamapps > common > TheIsle), but I absolutely cannot find the "saved" folder that you are all talking about.
I have looked around, googled it, even verified my game files a bunch, but it never did anything

Then you might have to try a manual reinstall >.<

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

You two could try adding a firewall exclusion, like this on Win10:
"Choose Start > Control Panel. Click Security, and then in the Windows Firewall section, click Allow A Program Through Windows Firewall. Click Add Program on the Exceptions tab"

You could additional to the fixes, try the follwoing (But I'm not sure if it is related to that ): just an shot-in-the-dark) :

A reason for this issue could be that a file called steam_appid.txt got installed in the wrong location.
Go to your game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
  and check if that's where the steam_appid.txt is.

If you find the file there, put it in the:
TheIsle -> Binaries -> Win64 folder

(If you can't find the file in either folders, just create it yourself.
all you need to do is go to that folder and create an text file with the number "376210" inside of it)

Yeah >.< the game crashed but windows has processes running in the background that are trying to find out why it crashed

so the game still counts as open

What I would try:

• restart your PC
• make sure your GPU driver is up to date! and maybe look for an windows update
• try the fix with the "steam_appid.txt"

If that doesn't work, maybe try deleting the file ? >.< After you saved it somewhere!
I'm not a big fan of deleting random files, but I googled that error and it seems to have happend in other games that are using EAC too.
Some people wrote that deleting that file fixed it for them.
So you could try that, but I'd really recommand making a back-up of it somewhere.

This is the only game that I can't comfortably play even with minimal graphics settings. 1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
5.) Open the Saved folder
6.) Delete the Config folder

My friend is having an issue where his settings reset when trying to join a full server. Only full servers. This occurred after he deleted his Saved folder for the update. Since then I've had him completely delete his Isle folder in both AppData and Steam, he uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and he verified the integrity of his files. 1. Press Windows key.

2. Type "Run" and launch Run program.

3. Type in %localappdata%\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini (copy and paste) and click 'Ok'.

4. Find sg.TexturesQuality=x and set X to a lower/higher number (see below on what number equals what)

5. Press CTRL S (Save it)

0=low, 1=medium, 2=high,3=epic, 4=cinematic

You could 2 things maybe, not sure if they'll work though >.<

First you could try setting "–windowed" as an optional parameter in Steam, so it's force started in windowed mode.
Maybe you can change the settings then, and go back to fullscreen o:

Second, if the first doesn't work, you can go to the file I mentioned above for the language bug and see if you can change the settings there manually. It's basically this:
