Yeah ping isn't great on officials, but I get 50-60 on local server if I remember right

Official server performance is why no one used to play on evrima officials, but they are popular again since they hid the unofficial servers.

Also the ping the engine shows is very inaccurate, you'll get higher ping if you set lower frame rates for instance.

hm, it's a bit complicated. From what I know:
You need to be a Discord Moderator before being considered as a Server Admin, you have to be one for around 1-2 years before you're even considered.
There's also an Age requirment you'll have to fulfil to become a Moderator, which is "officially" 18 but "realisticly" you have to be at least 21+.
You'll also need to sign an NDA.

But if you want to know more about that you should ask a Senior Server admin like Saoul or Hikari, I think >.<

In the future, try logging out and then log back in, while the world is loading in then try moving away from your position.

Else try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Also tell them your in-game name + your specific server.

If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a respons.

There's no real way to tell, but I'd hedge my bets on "no". My 1050ti manages ok but my CPU is pretty bad so I can't tell you how much my performance is based on my CPU vs GPU

Hi it was me with the hide empty. Try the following one, its a manual search to the server list, if its not working no other idea i have.

Press on the Windows key, type Steam, then open the first result. From the top menu, click on View, and select Servers. Double-click the server you want to join. If needed, you can change the search settings and select the game you want to play.

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

Uh, so I just installed Evrima and now I’m trying to start it up… but it just refuses to start up. I click play on steam and it says “preparing to launch the isle” and it says “running” … but then it just stops after a few seconds.

I also have went into the local files and clicked the launcher exe and it loads up easy anti cheat, but doesn’t load the actual game. Not sure what’s happening.

Maybe try resetting your Settings:

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.

3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder, and go into the Config folder.
6. Open the WindowsClient folder.
7. Delete the "input" file Note: This will reset any of your custom keybinds to their defaults.
8. Restart the game. The issue should be fixed.

Can someone help me with the evrima stuff

So im using a mac and since it cant run the isle on its own I'm also using geforce. I bought the isle on stream and switched it over to the evrima public beta. It now shows on steam that its on the beta (evrima) but on geforce theres no indication as such.

When I do load into the game via geforce, it says that the version is 0.1.8.1. Im not sure if this is the right version but whenever i try to find official servers it always shows up blank.

Hello. I've had a problem in the last update of the game that I didn't have night vision. I checked the settings night vision isn't even mentioned there, I even reinstalled the game but didn't work. Because of no night vision I couldn't play the game since the night is sooo dark that I can't see my own dinosaur. Now I installed the new patch that came out 2 days ago and now I can't even launch the game. It shows the anti cheat window with loading and after it says waiting for game, it immediately crashes. Try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Also tell them your in-game name + your specific server.

If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a respons.

Any word on the splash screen/intro screen taking forever to load? I got an i9, 3080 TI, 32 gb ram and the games installed on a m.2. Its taking me 30-60 min to load the game. Splash screen loads for 15-30 min, the opening thing plays then a black screen for 15-30 min. After that the game runs normally. I can load into servers perfectly fine, running around the map the tiles load fine. Lag is the same as everyone else is experiencing. Just takes me an hour to get to the main menu.

Firstly. Players cannot post bug reports that are not official. You even say that on the report sheet.
Regarding Fatal Errors.
It had happened 3 times before. Now it's happened FIVE times.
It happens when:
It's night time.
A Croc drowning a beast.
As soon as that beast dies, the Fatal Error sign pops up.
And the Fatal Errors only seem to be quite localised too as when returning to a server, there's still a lot of players on.

Hey, I'm having an issue with the game not loading in chunks of the map while playing. I've found myself more than once running in a straight line usually across Central area, and everything is unloaded and untextured. If I walk across this, I can't run/fly/rest, anything really, and I've been snagged up by carnos and other predators and can't do anything about it

The game is taking a very long time to start, never had this issue before update 5.5, I often just quit and play something else, reminds me of Ark in the bad old days, checked my task manager, CPU, RAM, GPU are minimal, my SSD sits at a constant 25% usage until the game starts, once in the game (if I'm patient enough) it plays ok.. something to check so it's not preventing people from playing, most may not say anything and move on

If you're stuck in a tree, try logging out, and then log back in and while the world is loading in try to move away from your position.

If that doesn't work try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Also tell them your in-game name + your specific server.

If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a respons.

The Devs are aware of the problem and it's being worked at!

Try doing this, it should fix it:

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder, and go into the Config folder.
6. Open the WindowsClient folder.
7. Delete the "input.ini" file Note: This will reset any of your custom keybinds to their defaults.
8. Restart the game. The issue should be fixed.

Im experiencing a bug: with ptera after the flight start animation is interrupted (by water or a rock for example) I can no longer initiate flight sequence with spacebar

You can run Windows on a Mac using BootCamp (allows you to have MacOS and Windows on your Mac). Can't say the performance will be any good though.
