from what i am seeing for tisso strains i can tell you that they seem to be made for areo-dymacy so try to make the head more slick and pointed

A good exemple would be the tisso spino.

Tissos, at least the original version before they supposedly were getting some kind of rework, were about stealth (octopus-esque camo), greater mobility / agility and tracking

Well, Tapwing's Tissos are considered fan pieces until they're tossed into any sort of announcement

That and supposedly being smaller than their normal counterparts. But there's really only two official concepts for Tissos so far, Reaper and an old, old Tisso T.rex. Also a Tisso Deinonychus, if you wanna count it.
But I'd say maybe go for something... Kaprosuchus-y? Thinner snout but still able to handle things to an extent.

That said, keeping within a margin of accuracy is generally a good idea (so you don’t get Mohawk raptors etc) but worrying about finger length is annoying

Wonky proportions would kill it for me. There's no way to get a fully accurate animal but to disregard it, you gotta ask if its even worth restoring anymore

They key is to balance things. Some people want everything 1:1, which is fine if you’re going for accuracy, but all too often I see good art and designs absolutely hounded because of one minor detail

Also a thing that really can help at times is drawing the skeleton

The hip bones in particular are useful at determining how deep the ribcage is

Art is going to take a lot of time and patience. You're not going to immediately get good. Just practice a lot and use references. Tracing for study can be good but dont rely on it. Get ouside of your comfort zone and try drawing new things. Eventually you'll get there just dont give up

Another hint is to simply draw the basic body parts or regions first. Head, neck/spine, arms, hips, legs and the tail. And the hips really help with figuring out how deep the chest of the dinosaur is.

@pine tendon this is my personal take on the Hadrosaur

So it had overlapping, sharp tail scales near the end of the tail which produce a noise as they hit each other (a more advanced version of this exists in rattlesnakes). It also has a row of quills down the back and on the underside of the tail.
