also carnality, i love how you think. i believe knowing what other people think of your art but not changing it only to suit them is good

use to i never took criticism and would be upset because i thought it meant insulting my art. it took me a whole year to make any progress, more recently i actually listen to criticism because theyre trying to help you, not degrade it.

for me the only thing that changed was the color of utah, in the picture it's golden, in the drawing is another color

They eye is too big, there's inconsistencies with the mouth, hand placements and shape of the neck and back leg. They're obviously a good artist because it looks amazing but it was drawn while looking at the picture not traced. The negative space is too off.

^. I'm pretty sure we can do anything regarding paleoart. Did y'all not see someone put haast in the art channel today ? It's still there for a reason. It wasn't took down bc it has to do with paleoart. We were already drawing accurate remodels of dinos and making our own unique remodels before they changed the rules and it was okay. Since the rule change, they have now allowed us to draw more animals of our choice. I posted pela a few weeks ago and it was okay. Someone else drew torvo Etc.. All of It is still there.

That’s all well and good. But don’t forget to also use reference. Either footage you’ve recorded of yourself performing the actions or clips of creatures performing similar motions. In addition, one think new animators tend to forget about is to make sure your curves are correct. I can tell where your loop begins and ends. Which isn’t what you want. It should be as seamless as possible. Check the curves at the beginning and end of the animation for each controller. Make sure the beginning and ending tangents flow into one another.

If the beginning tangent is turned upwards sharply, then the ending tangent also needs to turn up sharply. So when the animation loops there won’t be a noticeable hitch. You need to do that check for everything you put motion on.

If you do that successfully and repost, that alone will add a lot of smoothness to your animation. Then you can just focus on the motion, timing and weight.

If I came here and posted a feathered Uwutah with 4 eyes and a monster energy drink color palette it would make the channel specifically made for art that resembles the game lose it's meaning

While a bit late, the issue I tend to see with Cheirus is when people suggest it, the main gimmick they tend to give it is just hug-grappling (which seems like a bad idea when you want to keep predators away from your long neck) and having a semi-aquatic nature. Yes, it's an omnivore unlike Isle Theri (which supposedly was gonna live in the swamps in the original outdated dossiers), but Beipi also exists and currently is the only omnivorous semi-aquatic slappy boi, just a lot smaller.
If Cheirus was like these many suggestions it'd literally invalidate Beipi's existence, and even if it's bigger it has the exact same weaknesses as Theri. There doesn't really seem to be any potential unique gameplay styles differentiating between itself and Beipi, aside from size. In my eyes, it's not really worth the time or resources to develop it (or a 'community dino' at all). Granted, I've seen a sorta neat concept for a giant ground sloth Cheirus being semi-quadruped, but I don't remember who made it.
But with that said, I'd say just give Plateo the dubious role of "bigger water adjacent herbivore." It's gonna get a new model replacement down the road (assuming it doesn't end up scrapped) and it'd give it some reason to exist. But I'd also like to see a swole ground sloth-esque Plateo too

Plateosaurus.

Mainly was inspired by camels and tapirs when it came to the lips, also I was considering exaggerating the nasal cavities a bit like in some reconstructions of Muttaburrasaurus, but I decided to ditch that.

The ideas put onto Chierus are hypotheical and only serve as an example for what the animal can do. Further yeah the long neck is a risk that's why its a risky move. Utah pounce is a risk too but if the user is skilled enough they minimize that risk.

Once again comparing beipi to cheirus is really a weak link.If you think size doesn’t play a big enough role in separating species then we should get rid of bary, sucho, or spino.

If we keep down this line of logic; Acro invalidates gigas existence. Alberto invalidates t rex's existence, magy invalidates cama, teno invalidates shant, velo invalidates utah, etc etc.

But how do all these boys get in the game anyhow? (could have something to do with the devs knowing the importance of the animals size or something)

Cheirus is literally known for how unique it is. Comparing it to animals not even in its clade is so weak.

If you like ground sloth Cheirus or you have other idea for the animal then maybe start off by saying that. If you don't like cheirus that's fine but if your gonna argue about it please make an argument that can actually hold water.

And yes, Cheirus is a weirdo among its relatives like Galli, but it's general build is still like that of therizinosaurids, doesn't make comparing the two a "weak argument." The only real watered down difference between it and Theri is that Cheirus wades in water to eat fish, like a certain spinosaurid or two. Or three.
As for Acro, it was originally meant to be the base Bleeder Apex with Giga and Carcharo as alt skins, before Giga became its own thing.

Solely being visually unique isn't exactly grounds for spending resources into making a fully fledged playable. If someone makes a Cheirus mod whenever the new devkit is back up, then cool. I just feel it'd not worth the time and resources to make it an official playable with the roster.
Like Jurassic said, I just wanna see actual fleshed out unique playables down the road. Some of the current roster I feel could either do without some of the dinos, or at least make them AI Only (Hypsi, Veloci, Oro, Psittaco, Ava / Proto, Shantu / Camara, etc.)

And that isn't about the roster being bloated, it's just there's plenty of creatures sitting in the backburner (Pachyrhino, Plateo, Mono, etc.) that could do with some attention before some of the newer lads
