From what I've understood, Cerato's niche in the game is going to a water-adjacent everything-muncher. In the dossier it's shown off as hunting crocodiles and swimming to escape larger enemies, showing that it sticks around the water.
I'm assuming from the concept that Cerato is supposed to fill an almost semi-aquatic niche, which is an older theory on how it avoided competition with allosaurus.

Personally, I hope that Cerato's Iron Stomach can tackle anything, and I mean everything

Most of the models were made using Zbrush and are refined in some other website that I don’t know of, or so they used to at least. If you can’t use Zbrush Blender is free and can be used to make animations too.

I like the look of 2 and 3. But I think 3's ability to be a nocturnal hunter and scavenger is probably my favorite. I could see quetz being a real threat to a lot of the small animals and juvies, and with it's night vision it could be a real threat anything bigger than a Utah tho I can see being a threat to Quetz which would help balance it out

I don't think Quetz is really that much of a push over as some people may think honestly, that long beak could give some pretty good puncture wounds, I could also see it might be hard to really pounce on it properly from the front seeing how tall it is and it just seems awkward

another cool ability you could give to your quetz @ocean epoch would be for them to be able to zoom their vision like when you use a sniper scope or something while in the air, this way it can spot its prey much easier, and judge the size of an animal before landing down to attack

From my previous experiences, I base my price mostly on how much effort/time the piece took. While I took some times off for this piece, it was one of the more annoying one. I plan on selling them for around $200-350 based on how well the paint job is.

also forgot to mention im going to make more sketches of this one and number 4 on that quetz sheet with some background info with each design. was thinking if i can distinguish them enough...their might be room for hatz in the future ( referencing design 4...only if the devs choose too ofcourse )...also was thinking both can be apex carnivore flyers in their own way (just like how rex and giga are) ..allso I was thinking like why can't we have hatz and quetz ? we got multiple large carnivores, hadrosaurs, ceratopsians ..two giant pterosaurs shouldn't hurt. as long they both have their pros/cons

Kissen have seen one of my remodeled creatures (still in fan art) and she liked it ( told me herself) . I use procreate! I think it's just a one time purchase of$10. To get those vibrant colors I use overlay/add layers and airbrush the color on top 👍

I use an iPad 12.9, but I used a tiny 7 inch Wacom tablet for 8 years no problem! The size of your tablet doesn’t = skill, so any size works. I just found the bigger one to be vv epic for art + school stuff

To get the 3D appearance on a flat surface they're probably using some kind of bump mapping, pom, or pbr textures with the game's shaders instead of physically carving the details in. The lower poly your models are the better performance you can get from them in game.

the method ive used originally to make the lines was using the crease function, low-mid strengh and small brush, the results were unfavourable,
so ive resorted to drawing on the seperate sections and flattening them to get something similar
shame i cant ask baard how he did it
