@dense harness The best and most common way to signal that a dinosaur is female without going too anthro is adding eyelashes. Even subtle ones can give the viewer the hint that that is a female

that spino OC looks cool but it only has 2 colors, making it look super bland...

Simple colours on OCs isn't a bad thing! for the creator, I would recommend focusing on shading and details. The lack of detailed patterns leaves a lot of room for little scale details, wrinkles, folds, etc.
For example (and bear with me here this is going to take a bit)
this OC is fine and dandy- the colours work together and the character line-art wise looks fine.
Here's what I would do to improve it, however.
spots of slightly different colour can look like scales!! group them together in clusters and just go with the flow. it's okay to erase!
always add something extra to the underbelly. I added stripes because I like em :)
Little extra details on patterns! Remember that what you are drawing has skin/fur/scales. those bend and diversify how the creature looks.
of course, you can fill in everything as well with a good bit of shading and lighting as well.
ANOTHER thing I like to do is start with gradients with flat colours.
It's a way to start with shading and also adds that visual appeal when used correctly. ofc usually I woudn't do it the way I did in this, aha.

That’s pretty much where the idea of “branding” your stuff came from.
There’s a whole tool in adobe LR and PS that places your watermark in the exact same spot in the exact same way on the image so it’s all uniformed and nice. :3

(My main issue is that referencing old art like that isn't really gonna help you improve in anatomy. You're better off referencing skeletals to learn the right proportions then when you have an understanding of the basic anatomy you can them go in and tweak around with it)

@radiant finch Most of the design is by @hazy flax I just updated the anatomy in a few places but it's mostly based on the model already made for it and its animations. I think the Camara is in a huge amount of pain for a split second anyway lol

I’d like to put out a beware on Pongo_Bongo_#8695 who seems to have had me draw some things and then leave without paying me. He’s not messaged me back for almost a week now after I sent the art work. I’d like to believe there are two sides to every story however he has been on and off discord since. He seems to be scamming by saying he is starting a new isle server and needs art work. He promises to pay but instead goes silent. Now If he’d like to clear his name I have no problem with that but as of now he is black listed by me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and now he’s used up my patience and kindness.Be careful y’all thank you for reading : )
