@somber meteor if it helps, it seems in a few species of pterosaur, the male is the larger one compared to the female. they're really quite different from birds.
Pteranodon is a good example of this, with males being at least twice the size of the females

Fan art is more for things that already exist or will exist in game. Things based around lore or the creatures or experiences you had and so on. what you've tried to share is more of a personal thing.

How do people get those kind of sharp colors on their dinos when drawing digitally?? I don't get it I tried it this morning and I had to soften the lines and put more colors on it. I can't draw clear lines cause the watercolor and blending tools are too fun to use when drawing digital art :[

with adobe illustrator the brush tool has a feature that smooths/straightens your lines to a cirtain degree. you can adjust how much it smooths them.

Seems like it's a little expensive (when you don't have a job) so it's not something I can get. It feels easier to draw straight lines digitally than it is with pen and paper but I can't move my drawing tablet to my favourite drawing spot which sucks. Also can't draw outside with it.

It's very dangerous posting traced art. Doing it to learn, I have no problem with. But people that own the original material aren't always flattered by the act when they post it. @vital mirage

At the end of the day, I myself believe tracing is a good way to learn drawing skills and methods, as when I was first starting out, I traced. But I never posted it online or showed anyone, simply because it was not originally mine. I was proud that I was able to replicate the material, but I wanted more to come from me.

And the fact that they didn't mention it was even heavily referenced makes it more dangerous. It gives off the vibe that they're claiming it as theirs, even if they haven't explicitly said it

Skye may not have even traced it, she may have heavily referenced it (study and replicate the look of a photo or image to the T, not just overlaying and drawing over the image) but it's important for that to be stated otherwise we get situations like this

Profit or not, anyone posting traced art needs to be careful, period. Though you may not take it seriously, many other artists do. Serious situations come from it.

It sounds overdramatic bit when you spend a day looking at the art community, you can see why.

Whether it be discord channel, Instagram, Twitter, hell even deviant art (ESPECIALLY deviant art lol) it's a dangerous game to post traced art with no context of motivation

or credit, obviously
