I would slightly diminish how precisely human it is. Keep the legs less round and a little more saurian and make the chest without pronounced pectoral muscles.

I would also consider changing the position of the tail slightly to allow for better spine alignment.

I believe it to be a kind of plagiarism. Though it’s not straight up stolen, it’s still just a modified version of the original (if traced.) dinosaurs are hard because they aren’t something we can go take our own pictures of for our own reference. We basically go off of other peoples work no matter what. I feel if it’s able to be called out as it was obvious as to what reference was used, it should be credited. That’s just my two cents, admin already said rules rules.

i traced the fossil twice, and the traced versions are in the bottom left corner. this was so i could figure out the shapes and how it'd look with line art.

If you look at the snout youll notice it tapers out into a thinner point towards the end, you can see it really well in their art, but ill define it on a screenshot of the utah too. The top of a utah's head is very much so a long triangle, I think that is where your perspective is struggling <3

Whats everyones thoughts on a feathered allosaurus? Im thinking about my next commission being one and wanted to know if people would like such an idea! Also sense it will be a male what colors should it be? My favorite color is black so its going to have a base of that, but i also want some vibrant and pretty colors kind of like a bird of paradise!

I think feathered dinosaurs in general are pretty cool. It could be something that would have a realistic idea behind it, if said allosaurus species was found in a much colder climate where it was cold all year long, and of course they can get cold, you'd think they would evolve to have feathers over time because of the climate said species of allosaurus lives in. So yes, love the idea!

Since you said you'd want the base to be black, there's a couple options that come to mind for me, you could add some dim purples with vibrate yellow golds to make a "starry night" allosaurus. Or you could add some lighter greys and blend it in with a baby blue or rusty red.

Something for a bird of paradise, Id have the male marking be black, then the other colors mixed with greys, yellows, blues, and purples. Some birds show these colors in their feathers so this would make a perfect color scheme for a "bird of paradise"
