It does. The longer you hold down sniff the further out you'll detect. Sometimes migration zones run out of food, so a patrol zone can spawn more food. if no PZ wait a bit and one should pop up eventually

The queue system has been deactivated, but the code still exists. The game is so unstable it still shows it from time to time.
