You can’t skip straight to server admin, you’ve got to work your way up from discord admin, help how you can and how is needed, but if you take the application seriously and do as is expected, don’t abuse power, etc, it’s not super difficult, took me about 7ish months I think from onboarding to server admin, and I’ll return to server admin for banning hackers once I’m at my pc again

Copypasta regarding the cost to pay full time moderation for all servers:

They probably don't have the budget to pay people to watch 30 servers 24/7.
An average shift is 8hr. With 24hr in a day you would need a minimum of 3 people per server. That's assuming each person shows up on time every single day with no days off. So at MINIMUM you would need 90 paid individuals to even attempt having 24/7 coverage of 30 official servers. A more reasonable number would be at least ~120 so people can have vacations and days off.

So now we need to pay these 120 people a reasonable wage. In most US states minimum wage is about $16 so we'll say the devs are paying minimum wage. The average full time employee works ~2000 hrs a year. So 2000×$16= $32,000 per person per year.

$32,000×120 OSA to ensure 24/7 server coverage with people being allowed days off and holidays. That's $3,840,000 a year just to have 24/7 hired OSA at minimum wage working as full time to watch the 30 official servers.

So ya "just hire someone" isn't quite as easy/affordable as you think
