No worries, I'll try to explain it a little better. When you entomb on an dino, you're essentially carrying all those mutations you picked forward into a new life where you respawn again (as that dino). Think of it as kind of nesting yourself in, as once you've respawned you'll inherit all of those previous mutations except they're even stronger now and be able to pick 4 more new ones.
