one of the problems might be how food works for them right now
I had the idea on giving things like trike a very slow food drain but they would also need to eat massive amounts of food to fil their stomachs again, so they would have time to lay around in plains for a while, but they would have to migrate to fill their stomachs again. Food spawning everywhere but close to herbis would help with that
adding to that, maybe make things like trike be able to gestate/incubate 4 eggs at once, and because they have so much food they could easily feed their hatchlings but they would have to migrate once they turn into juvies to feed themselves and their juvies
Just an idea on how to encourage herds to wander around without just making them starve constantly, because right now herds can lay around one area for hours
maybe they could also make it so certain herbis can only nest in certain areas like trikes could only nest at some plain or river or whatever but that would help make them move around more
The territory thing about roaring makes no sense. If someone wants to 1 call but not want territory what do they do? Just have random territory every where? Also itâd give positions away with that map and kind of force you to keep to 1 area, which means no exploring for territory owners and we all know that Rex pairs/packs would own every bit of territory on the map.

I am gonna be commenting on a lot of stuff btw. I donât think ceras are really scavengers though. I see them more of a pack hunter. I feel like the only scavengers in the game would be herras, austros, velos, and Juvie dinos.
@shut gale I'm torn between agreeing and disagreeing. Personally I wouldn't like the idea of charged attacks, but like the idea of a stun effect and armour as a great way to make something tough to kill without giving them too much weight.

I mean, I like charged attacks in video games mechanically, but it does take away from immersion a bit. You can't really charge an attack in real life. You you have to build up momentum.
I'd rather have it so regular attacks for anky take stamina.

Just think, if a server admin was doing say a rex mega migration but they all should be in the same group, if there could only be 5 or 6 limit then that would mess it up. It could be in server options though you could set the limit. That may be what you meant, sorry if I misunderstood

AI spawns in a way too predictable pattern that is really unrealistic
I think it would be cool to have bigger AI like hadrosaur herds spawning randomly on the map, encouraging mid tier packs and apexes to wander around more
plus with bigger AI there is less AI needed to feed all the players so the server could handle more players
Eventually there will be AI of all the dinos.
I think they have to wait till after the recode before they can manage more AI, currently from what I heard the way AI is set up it takes up player slots which is why it's limited like it is.

Tisso strains are the closest you can get tho chameleons as some have been hinted to have some sort of Camo ability.

Dinosaurs teleporting while walking and being âslowâ to do actions is due to rubber-banding and lag. Have you checked your ping and connection? Do your system requirements match those needed to run the Isle?

- I do think that things shouldn't lose food/water that fast, but they shouldn't have infinite food. Maybe for carnivores have randomly spawning corpses that the seeker (who WOULD have infinite food and water) would not be able to see.
- Bone break should be a thing, but not bleed. Don't make people die instead of breaking a leg; the seeker should still have to try and find them.

As for the suicide button, probably not - last time it caused so many issues. Lots of lag and dead bodies at spawn points
Resetting and having your body despawn isn't a terrible idea but it would depend on what the devs want

Reducing damage, speed and stamina with only one attack is way too strong. It would be still a strong attack if it only would reduce one of those stats.
i was thinking it could become stronger depending on how much venom it had stacked on the target
so 10 venom it would be like a 2% reduction but 90 venom would be like 18% reduction on those things
either become a sort of passive or an individual attack x)
passive would make more sense I guess. Would be weird if a bite on left click doesn't deal poison but the right click does. They should spit it at that point. đ€

If anything gets close enough to ambush you then you should be screwed. Para shouldnât be able to easily escape an ambushing allo.
I personally think it should easily overpower a solo allo.
But at the same time that allo can ambush it and kill it.
its a tought call really, with only its ability being the tide breaker
I think razor brings up a good point. There are so many sharp-tooth. I rarely ever see a herb, and when I do it's usually a sub adult.

@lone crypt the allo is fucked atm, its been like that ever since IK came out. They didn't change the animations - the ik fucked its leg up and now it's doing all of its animations weirdly and it looks ugly af. Ive reported it in bugs tons of times but they haven't even fixed it or looked at it. If you go in game you can see it's left leg shaking, think that's what's making it look weird

The thing about family sharing is that people will find ways to get around it, even if it means buying the game again on an alt. It's going to happen and nothing will stop it completely.
Family sharing is still a huge problem when it comes to administrating servers. People can just go make a new Steam account in 2 minutes, family share, and bam - they can easily ban evade or revenge kill. Removing family sharing means they have to invest money into another alt account, which a majority of rule-breakers will not do.
It is very prevalent on official servers, and, frankly, it's annoying.
The only issue is that it feels pay-2-win in this way for an advantage rather than just allowing that aspect of abusive gameplay to all players
Can you elaborate further of the pay to win you're talking about because there isn't anything that's paytowin about the official servers unless i'm missing where I can pay to be insta raised

a while back developers considered having multiple selectable dinosaurs for every account, if this procedure was possible but with cooldowns on spawning back in I would like that way better than the system we have now

That's not really pay to win.. Pay to win is defined as paying for a special item or dlc.. Them purchasing another account and then spending the time to raise it to adult is not pay to win.. If they could purchase an insta growth back to adult to go back and kill you, that would be pay to win.. I see what you're talking about but there's no way to change that unless you're just gonna bottle neck everyones mac address/IP to one account per

Exactly.. if most of my friends are playing on US1, and they're playing as DINO A but I'm DINO B, I don't want to have to kill my dino just to play with them, i'd rather hop on another account and grow DINO A..
Unfortunately you cannot have a resolution for each and everything that could be possible

you can always ask one of the official server admins, try finding one often takes care of the server your friend got banned on, if its an official server.

It would be best for him to reach out himself to one of the admins. However, if he was banned that means that they observed the behavior. They don't just take someones word when being reported.

I think to optimize fun time in the game, being able to select your general spawn area would be nice. Not sure if it would be weird if implemented
When humans are implemented into the game, I think that a system for them to steal Dino eggs from nesting dinosaurs to add Dinoâs to their group/team should be added. They would steal eggs and incubate them at their base then hatch them into their group, and raise them for their team, with the ability to invite players after the egg has been incubated.
Thoughts? Please discuss. đ
I would like to to see general regions of the maps be available to choose as a spawn place, even if they are divided into large ones. It would still offer risk to players because if they choose the most popular regions on the map, they could get killed easily if they're not careful. Or at least I think it would, anyway.

Ppl constantly asking for it but the last time I saw two Rex tried killing a trike they failed so hard
Trike found a nice location guarding its back and rexs literally canât do anything
And eventually one Rex died and the other wounded badly and had to run
While the trike lived another day
So really why are ppl asking to buff the trike
because 1 rex vs 1 trike, Rex wins, all he has to do is face tank the trike, the trike dies, rex lies down to heal as really hurt and bleeding but will survive
trike needs alittle buff on damage / bleed to 1 vs 1 a rex and make it a real battle not just sit and chomp

idk if this would work but maybe this sitting in a bush in escape menu to click log out if somebody comes close could be prevented by resetting the logout timer every 70 seconds? (so you have a 10 second time frame to log before the timer resets to 60 seconds)

This isn't a personal attack or anything, just trying to understand if you are unaware of how much fuckery has happened when the game has made changes to hard-mechanics vs. editing the UI.
Implementing a new UI widget is not nearly as capable of a shitfest as making an alteration to resting.
There have been MANY occasions where a change to resting has caused players to get stuck resting.
Or login and have issues if they are resting.
Or if resting during a map change, having issues falling through the world

Tampering with players ability to log out of the game has far more capacity to backfire horribly.
Making a change to logging out, IF it goes wrong, can be far more disastrous than adding a new UI widget.
You do not need to do some edit to the fundamental server performance in the game, the framework to add my idea already exists.

Hourglass suggestion is solidly meh, combat logging is frustrating but idk if it needs to be âfixedâ necessarilyâunless youâre against something really slow, you typically donât combat log in the open where nobody can do anything about it; it takes setup, careful hiding, and typically also track hiding/awareness to hide while youâre being chased in combat. The bug curve for that doesnât sound fun either; Iâd hate to hit a bug where permissions/range on the visibility of the icon is wrong/larger than intended/etc where people just lose Dinoâs because of a bug they canât prevent while logging out. I feel like most of the âproblemsâ the solution would âsolveâ either arenât problems (aka managing to successfully hide from/escape from a combatant) or can be solved by just increasing the safelog time

That's what the whole suggestion is founded on, the original "slots" for all the calls which are still use in today, in every creature of the game, and have always been. I just described what types of sounds would be cool for each slot.

Otherwise, forcing people to log sitting down would only be okay if they removed the fact that you make the sitting sound when you log back in. As of now, when you safelog sitting down, your model âsitsâ back down as you log in, making your resting sound. I stopped logging sitting down because of it, because several times Iâve had to log back into a precarious situation where that noise would have given me away
(And notably, where it has given me away. Rip sub trike that logged in on rexes in a forest)
But like I said, not completely necessary; I think most grievances could be solved by increasing the log timer, and if you want to fix afk growing, you could just disable growth while in the menu for longer than the time it takes to safelog. While I figure nobodyâs particularly happy about an increase in the timer, itâs a solution thatâs actually not a new feature and is just a variable chnage, unlike the timer suggestion
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the hourglass suggestion dosen't prevent you from logging any longer than safelogging does. It just makes it, so when you're trying to combat log, your attackers will know. And they will go all in.
Also safelogging dosen't require any skill. We were hunting a t-rex once as dilos. It took us a quite a bit to realize he was combat logging. When we realized he was, we went in. The fucker was literally tanking bites until he was able to log.
No, thatâs correct. My point was more that I donât think itâs a âbugâ, I think that people being able to find a safe place to hide and escape is a feature. Not saying itâs the ultimate skillful move, but I donât think itâs necessarily a bad thing. Thatâs something that requiring resting would actually help with; youâd go in if somebody rested

Most "grievances" with "combat logging" would be solved if people just played smart :p But the hourglass could work, if you're just "waiting to logout" you're a bit more vunerable, being "visible" in a sense, but you still can just log if you feel threatened. If you're just hiding/afking, you'd still be as hidden as always, but you'd then have to risk logging and being visible if something comes around, or hope it just doesn't see you at all.

Yeah, Iâve thought about that recently too. You canât exactly make it to where damage stops your log though, because then Dryos will become the most toxic trolls on earth lol. I was thinking maybe a % of your hp is done as damage, itâd stop the log, but thatâs still very relative for smaller things
