Hello guys, a friend of mine which has a high end PC for some reason today can't run the Isle, anymore. Spawns in the game, the game freezes and doesn't respond. This can happen at any point, usually a few seconds after spawning in. They noticed in task manager that the game is consuming 2k Mbs in memory, idk if it's normal or not. Every other game runs fine and they have already verified their steam files. What I noticed on my own is that when I told them to spawn in and not move at all, they were able to stay afk in game for an hour, instead of crashing in seconds while actually playing. idk if that's helpful. Any thoughts?

Since today when i launch The Isle legacy or Evrima i have major fps issues. It stutters between 4 to 60 fps. Impossible to play. I notice that my GPU with max 4GB is only going up to to 2GB and no more... i use to run both legacy and evrima at 50 fps easy, now out of the blue this happens. All other games run perfectly smooth. Anyone else? I have an Nvidia Quadro T1000

If you are switching from Evrima to Legacy, you will need to download Legacy again. If you switch from Legacy to Evrima, you'll need to redownload Evrima.

I'm still having this issue. The links just move you further up in this channel. The clean install only works to get sound through the monitor. And when I shut down my computer, that fix is destroyed. The next time I boot up my computer, I have to do the clean install again just to get sound again...through my monitor. I need it through my headset and for it to be a permanent fix. If someone could please help me, that would be very much appreciated!

Ok for some reason my frames are capping at 30, and when I turn my camera around my dino my frames drop down below 15. Usually I get at least 30-40 frames at all times. What’s going on? I have well over a thousand hours, this has never happened to me. i'm still having a huge issue of not being able to play on the Offical servers. i will play just fine for hours then i'll leave or the reset will happen and the servers wont even be half full and i cant get into them at all. it's very frustrating and making it to were i can't play the game at all! i have verified my files, i have changed my ping, i have even switched accounts to see if i can log into them and have this same issue.

Oh I my pak file or something was different it said so I just removed it and then verified the integrity of game files and it said something was missing and then it retrieved them.

Hello everyone! I hope someone can help me out with this. I am having trouble locating/accessing certain servers which I know exist, are active and are playable. For example, 'Hunting Grounds' does not appear in my server list ingame and when I try to connect to the server through stream I get a "server is unavailable" pop-up. Also, I can't seem to locate the official Isle servers anymore? They are missing even on the steam server list.

have an issue, i start my game, join any server, and within a minute or so i get booted from the server and it tells me i lost connection to the host. i have restarted the game, restarted my computer, verified the integrity of the games files, and even unistalled and reinstalled the game to try to fix the issue. i know its not my internet that is the problem. does this happen if a computer is low on disk space? or is it because of a glitch? please help! if you reply please at me as well, i dont know what to do anymore! this has gone on for two days now.

SOLUTION 1
► Open Steam and go to "View"
► Click on "Server"
► Click change filter
► Choose "The Isle" in games and let him search
► Now you can find our Server there and can directly join or go back to The Isle and search again

I created a new server and tried to find out, but it didn't work. A friend also tried it and she also gets a black screen. Does anyone know what it's about?
This always happens as soon as you and I try to access the server and the black screen appears immediately. Everyone we wanted to try says that they have exactly the same black screen, and the operator that I'm running the server on says that everything is fine and that they can join easily.

That could indicate either your anti virus or firewall blocking the download @wide schooner
It could also be a corrupted file that occurred during the download, in which case you simply have to start it over again by deleting what's inside your steam downloading folder.

- Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

does any1 have any experience with older hardware (namely not supporting dx11) where the term used is "UNCOOKED", is there a workaround to running the game with lower performance as I noticed there are workarounds for CIV 6 and other games on google; Bottleneck in this case seems to be Intel HD 3000 which has max cap of DX 10.x; I would appreciate dev insight as well if there is a way to run the game temporarily with tweaking the settings through third party software or just editing .config files somehow; I know I need to upgrade my HW, the thing here is to make it work as this funny workhorse of a CPU has ran Skyrim although being completely inadequate by all the "can I run it tests"; LEGACY

Yeah upon looking at your system specifications, your whole computer is lower than the minimum requirements asked by the game, which is why you're getting that red message. Though if you are still able to play, you can simply ignore the red message. @shrewd moon

Personally I would invest in another gaming system since you would have to change the processor and graphic card, those new pieces might not be compatible with your current motherboard and so it's safer for you to invest in something else unless you have the knowledge to look at hardware compatibility.

Friend of mine has a glitch, anytime she gets invited to a group the person who invited her gets muted. She unmutes them and it will go back. It's only for the person who invited her, it doesn't effect anyone else that's already in the group and it doesn't happen if she invites people to group. Any ideas?

I'm having some issues with reliably loading or finding the official servers. I've tried all of the solutions I found online.
- Lowering max pings / minute (at around 1500 - 1000 I can sometimes get EU 1 or EU 2, after several refresh attempts. Very rarely do I get US)
- Added exclusion to firewall
- Entering
netsh winsock resetin cmd and resetting

So basically, I fucked the isle up because in the middle of playing juvi giga in Life Finds a Way legacy, I set my frames to .01 not thinking it would work. I then broke the game and attempted to reinstall the game but that didn't work. I then seeked help from someone but none of their solutions seemed to work. I just refreshed the server list many times and a sec after it says no servers found. Usually it takes 1-3 mins to load the servers but now it just says no servers found after 3 secs of search

They have already tried everything from restarting the game and steam, connecting directly to the server from steam, and validating their game files. They still keep getting the same error. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Interesting, you can see servers if you look at them through steam (under the View tab) but when you try and connect it just stops you on the startup screen where you press play to go to server list.

okay so a few of us have found a fix and it seems to be working now so here are the Steps:
1st - on the keyboard press the Windows button and R and the SAME time (the attached photo is what you should see)
2nd - type %appdata% and press Enter
3rd - Go to the \AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
(Exactly in that order)
Open the engine file in notepad
At bottom of file add:
[OnlineSubsystem]
PollingIntervalInMs=50
must be OUT OF GAME! in order for the change to work
if the 50 does not work try
[OnlineSubsystem]
PollingIntervalInMs=100
which it will be slower but it should work
this is where the other steps are easier to follow

Probably not. It's happened to my server and I really hope so, but I doubt it.
Legacy has basically been abandoned, and despite the fact that most Isle players still play it over Evrima, it's highly unlikely anything will be done. Though I still hold out hope that the new dev team will care more about the players and at least look into the issue.

I'm a little more unfamiliar with the nature of the servers myself. Not sure what they can (or are) expose people to, but as a general tip I'd steer away from them given they're trying to copy other server's names to bring players to them.

I only have issue (not big or anything bad) that on my screen, Dinos like Rex, allo, trike, carno have their older run, trot and dinos on my screen, don't like go when like going down or up, or some of your body is on something. @ionic vine @empty bison You are both having local system issues, you need to work a way around the network errors you're encountering by researching into firewall issues or network card issues with your specific PC's. There's not much the developers can do at this point.

i have found a fix to the blocking yourself bug!! simply go to you saved folder.
This PC > local Disk > Users > (your user) > Appdata > Local > TheIsle > saved
next go to Config > WindowsNoEditor > Game
this should be there but leave that alone

then restart the game! And there you go!

@violet bramble I am the owner of a rented server with the same settings, so I might be able to help you.
First off, are you sure it's only suchos? If not, that's an easy fix. If so, try the following:
- The whole bite-then-nest thing, if that doesn't work try relogging.
- Use the character screen to check they actually are female. Sometimes the skins mess up.
- Have multiple users try it (both admins and regular users).
If none of this works, ping or DM me and I'll get back to you ^^

why it dosent show all servers or just shows no servers found

I’ve got on the game to find that over half of the servers on my server list are showing there’s 188/200 players. It seems to be a graphical glitch as the servers don’t actually have that many people on. I’ve tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the game. It’s not a major issue, but it is quite annoying.

It's not a graphical glitch, it's actually a whole bunch of duplicates of real servers that redirect to a different server, assumedly to increase its publicity. I personally have had this happen to my server. We were told a few weeks ago that it was being looked into. So far, nothing.
Those are all redirects.

@ornate fjord Unfortunately not. I'm still holding out hope that it will actually be looked into but who knows. Best thing to do is just not join them and hopefully the owners will give up.
@stoic pilot I'd just enter EU Official into the search function. Ticking the 'official' box may work, or it may make it worse. It varies from person to person. And if you can't see them at first, just keep searching and they should pop up.

Hello, my game runs well in the menu and when i join a server it takes 5-30 minutes to load in. Please help, its so annoying and my wifi is fine- 10 Mbps. My pc runs it on medium but my pc is not slow at all

In fact, lower numbers result in some servers not being shown at all. I would have expected a new installation would fix it, but it made it worse.

I have the same issue, it's weird as it takes ages to load into the servers too, being stuck on the percentage screen for 2-3 minutes whereas it used to take seconds to jump into a server

hey guys, im writing here to help my brother - he is having issues with rubberbanding/teleporting back and forth since 4 days, first it was only happening on 1 server - other legacy servers worked fine, even those with more people on, and evrima also worked fine
he was playing the isle legacy via copied file so he could play evrima over steam to keep it updated and it has worked for a long time, and suddenly he keeps rubberbanding like mad everytime, he relogged a ton of times, checked internet connections - he has no issues in other games and no lag in VC, he also switched from evrima back to legacy on steam to maybe fix it but it didnt work as well
after that he switched back to evrima branch and he had the same issues on evrima too then

I assume you've tried restarting the PC too. I'd test other online games and see if there's an issue on those - if so it's probably something to do with his computer or your internet connection. If it's just the Isle, I'd probably try reinstalling the game. I too have the legacy file copied and I rarely suffer from such severe lag without having individual server issues, so I'd be surprised if that's what is causing it.

i wrote it already in my first post, he tried it already
he was playing for months with the copy just like you, and then he switched to legacy to hopefully fix it, nothing - then reinstalled - nothing, then verified - nothing
we tried all the default stuff
and he is not lagging in any other game, he is not lagging in voice, he keeps rubberbanding in the isle

sometimes when he logs in, walks a certain distance and then he did a safelog, when he logged back in he was at the position when he logged in earlier

first it was only our home server, and he didnt have any issues on other servers when he tried
but one day after that he had the same issues there as well, on other servers in general

Apart from bugs with his PC itself or your internet, the only thing I can imagine is causing "rollbacks" is if the server owners literally roll back the server. But that doesn't sound at all like what's happening.

hi, so, i'm admin on a french the isle server, and with the last legacy up , we have some troubles, dinos legs go make big mistake, like stretching them, gamma for some players be up a lot, and admin mode we can't see name of people.
Also, recording can't let see name of players for reporting at all now...

Noticed that damage on trike is weird atm; got into a fight with one, could hit him 3 times with my carno and he did nothing to me. Then after minutes I was all the sudden at 3 bleed and dropped like a fly. Might be ping/lag related too? Hope we see the offical server go live soon to test

In replays you can’t get people’s names/IDs anymore, people’s names turn into / and don’t show steam IDs. For any server that relies on reports or replays to review evidence it’s a big problem. This aspect of replays was fine before the update. I get that replays probably won’t be updated but still.

Sorry if this question has been asked already. I tried searching through the questions, but I didn't see anyone ask it. When I go to put in the beta access code, it says it's correct, but I can't change from Evrima in the drop down menu. I do have both Legacy and Evrima installed, but I could before always switch between the two in Betas.

For users encountering a crash on Legacy, try this;
It should open up your Isle folder.
At the very top of the file path click "common"
It takes you back to a folder list of all your Steam games.
Keep that open, we'll go back to that in a moment. Now right click The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > uninstall game. After it's uninstalled you'll need to go back to that list of game folders and delete "The Isle" folder. That way there is no trace of The Isle, so when you reinstall the game it doesn't re-use any corrupted content that would normally remain after a normal uninstall.```Devs need to know they have broke shadows
