graphics primarily but i would check your processor drivers also and make sure they are up to date
Bendy are you using a integrated graphics card?
it seems like my game starts losing the internet connection because after about 3-5 refreshes it stops showing results. I have to quit the game and come back
try doing these below
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle @smoky pulsar
thank you
How to uninstall workshop items that are downloaded?
PM'd you a link
Sorry about that, i went offline .

You said your game just freezes..? @plucky frigate
yes
How frequently?
I dont really know, but yesterday it happened 3 times at around the same time
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder

I just realized I posted in the wrong spot. I'm getting the D3D "Hung" Error after playing. Also missed the gif before, sorry about that!

I should mention I'm running this on Bootcamp, Windows 10 Partition
That's a macbook pro right?
Yuppers!
Have you ever played the game before on these specs?
I just recently bought the game because a friend had recommended it. Saw it had no Mac Support anymore, so just slapped it on my partition today.
Okay so first thing you wanna do is update all of your drivers
Also, does it allow you to get to the menu at all?
Oh yeah. I'm able to play on servers for a few minutes. It crashes later.
Put all of your settings to low
Alright, I'll test that
Update the drivers as well though since they're missing about 4 years worth of updates
Oh jeez. Yeah I'll do that as well. I"ll see if that helps
It just seems to crash in general now. I'll find the new error.
did update drivers at least
Did you restart your computer after doing the updates?
Yes. After a few false starts I was able to get into a server
I'll just have to play it by ear and see if it's a consistent error
Thank you for the help by the way
Okie doke, make sure all settings are on low and see if putting it on windowed helps soothe it too
No problem, it's just trying to find a work around since your computer isn't meant for games, and this is a very demanding game.
Meaning, over time you won't be able to play
That's disappointing. It's an older macbook Pro so I knew eventually it'd not be able to keep up.
I think this is the first game I've had issues with on my system honestly. Everything else has run like silk
The game is very demanding, the minimum requirements right now is a gtx 960
and that's a pretty high gpu
I'd invest in a gaming rig but with having to fix other tech, I can't do it just yet
yeah, gaming pcs can be quite expensive.. mine was about $13-1400?
Ouch. Yeah it can get pricey, painfully so sometimes
hello I have a small probleme
Im a moderetor in a server and a member have some trouble scenting, I've search for the deleted saved files but it doesnt seem to find it and in his option they donc event havec the scen option
They just need to follow the above steps to get to it
we will see if we can find it
As long as you follow the steps, you'll be able to find it. it's in the same spot for everyone
thanks for your help....
You're welcome, let me know if you guys have any questions
can I come in private?
Glad we could get it working again! Enjoy your new found nose to sniff
Having some trouble
No servers found, I've changed ping settings in steam and done the command prompt thing.
However, if it does find a server and I get in ping is crazy high.
This wasn't a issue until last night, before that I've ner had issues with finding servers.
Can you do me a favor and redo the flushdns trick again, sometimes it takes more than one
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer
make sure it's opened as an administrator
It should look like that
Done (for the second time)
Still no servers
Go to the steam client, click the view button, then servers, select the isle on the bottom left and join a server through this list built-in to steam
It just sends me to the main screen
You see servers there though?
You need to make an exclusion to your antivirus/firewall then as it's blocking the game
And ping is 1k + on all of them
It's either that, or your ports aren't open
Yea that is done, checked yesterday
I've also re installed the game and recovered local files
I can't really help you with ping, as that's an internet issue, unless you're looking at the ping on the playerlist
That's an inaccurate ping number on the player list
Well I've never had a ping issue before
The eu servers are on over 2000 ping according to the stream server list
Sounds like an issue with your internet then, the servers are on 100 latency for me
I find that strange as I've had no problems in the past, not have we done anything to our router and it happened suddenly yesterday but okay. Thanks anyway!
Run Windows Update and make sure all of your drivers are up to date
Also don't forget to add an exclusion to the isle folder for your antivirus/firewall
And maybe try doing a hard reset for your router
Done all that already
My game crashed yesterday and after that I've had this issue
nah I don't think there is one, I belive my laptop did it, but I'll check

I know my laptop don't meet minimum criteria but again, ping and finding servers have never been a issue :')
the servers are back to normal ping in steam now I'll see if it works ing
Okay
Run windows update as well, it looks like your graphics driver is out of date.. or it might just be that they discontinued update supports for it
Yea updates aren't supported anymore
Which I'm upset about but π€·ββοΈ soon time for a new laptop anyway
I didn't do anything but I got in to the server so π
Thank you!
Haha Welcome back!
Will enjoy it while I can, it worked a few hours this morning too π
Rip lol
Older technology has a way of doing its own thing π€·
I guess technology as a whole anyway
I sent my laptop in return cuz something is wrong with it, but they said they couldn't fix those kind of issues.. Neither did they tell me what the issue was or where to take it to get it fixed so like
Thanks I guess π
π
@tardy sentinel Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library.
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
What does that do
Fixes your issue of not sending servers
It worked. Thanks a lot dude
Sounds great! Welcome back!

@somber fox **This is in context to the issue you mentioned in #401464048610312195
This is just from personal experience, but you might want to check your PC's power supply, a few years ago I had the exact same problem. Had to get a new one.
a whole new computer?
or a power supply
the IT told me alot of times the power supply for my PC is very small and could cause problems, but that was 2 years earlier, and there was no problem. this thing just started happening recently
follow this and copy paste the result here

I meant just to replace the power supply, should've specified.
And let me guess, it's been getting progressively worse?
Same thing happened to me.
my PC entirely is getting progressively worse
to the point i fear it wont run the isle anymore
i could run the isle fine on all epic
damn
That's what happens with technology, unfortunately your gpu is just under the minimum requirements, so over time you won't be able to play it. Update all of your drivers since your gpu is over a year old, and change your settings lower than epic
how can i update it?
you're telling me i have to buy GTX 960? as GTX 950 wont run the isle?
or just update it within my computer
You should have geforce experience with an nvidia gpu, run that program/download if you don't have it
It'll show all available updates for your specific gpu
no, that's the control panel
then which one i want
let me open it real quick so I can take a screenshot
write ''geforce'' in your taskbar
there is no geforce
that is garbage
download what i sent ya , it's the latest driver available for your 950
thanks
i'll try and work with it in hopes of finally running the isle better
and the overall state of my PC
^What paco said, download the program and run it. Also, i'd reduce your settings lower than epic as well
should help , your current drivers are a year behind
i lowered them to high
just in case
i also cleaned all the dust of my PC
t was alot of damn dust
When I am being "Kicked" from a server (not official) can that be a connection problem?
host closed the connection?
I think that's what it said. Then once I was able to log back in, but am frozen on view of grass in the night. Another time I got back in properly, but was kicked 5 mins later. Now I am froz on a view of grass at night again..
Interesting, follow these steps
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
Do I have to reboot the PC before deleting app data?
Sorry should have edited that, reboot after
okay
sir i installed the latest driver
what should i do now?
restart?
it crashed again sir
resolution? graphic settings?
i'm reinstalling the isle
like it literally can run any game except the isle
it can run ark gta 5
you name it, just not the isle
How do you fix the glitch where youβre constantly moving forward? Only thing that fixes it is laying down, but it starts back up when I stand up. I tried safelogging and reloading the game.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
hey hey, anyone can give me a "list" of possible reasons for terrible lag spikes?, you know, chasing a dino and then they teleport 10 meters away form you to the right, etc stuff like that. i want to try to fix it sksk

my thing should be pretty shitty but i dont remember, so
So I'm assuming you already know it's below minimum requirements to play, so the gameplay experience won't be anywhere near optimal.. What are your in-game settings set to for graphics?
all medium
except for effects cause i like to see the grass moving lmao
honestly i knew it was bad but not that bad
And since it's a geforce gpu, I would suggest opening/downloading Geforce experience so you can get notifications when there's a driver update. I would highly suggest putting your settings to low and running that program to update it since it's about a year old
thing is that my lag spikes started to happen only after my wifi "broke" so i assumed it was my connection
I would also run Windows Update to check for updates regarding all of the other drivers on your computer
How'd it "break"?
it was everyone who was connected to aht operator,
their main source broke and whoever had that kind of connection couldn't connect for the whole day
dont really know how to explain it
also because my game runs smooth enough (good fps) but then i get these huge lag spikes, maybe i have a clip
If you started seeing issues after that, it sounds like a bandwidth problem whenever you run into other players (connections)
There's not much you can really do to minimize it, other than the steps listed above AND you can try this as well:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
i'll try that, thank you for your time!
just cause i cant explain it
this is the kind of lag i get btw
only seems to happen when i'm "interacting" (fighting) with other dinos
or in the distance sometimes people just nyoom
That just seems to be a stutter with the gpu, lower your settings and update everything as mentioned before
Any reason as to why the avatar of my group members shows for a second then disapears?
(They havent died)
Never heard of that before, but try this:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
@amber tide what do you mean follow these steps ? for what reson, and wich steps ? thanks
The steps above your post, for nesting issues
i think is deleted i cant find it
Can't find what..?
my post
Yes I deleted it because it's not a bug report, it's a troubleshooting issue, you have to follow the above steps
oh thanks so
@amber tide anyway i resolved play the game after one hour, and i become able to nest if you need this information
π
@amber tide do i need really delete this folder in %appdata% ? to be able to nesting ? thanks
@amber tide these steps don't work, i deleted my folder, i exit the game and tried these solutions.
So yeah I've got a problem with aggrsive dilos at the spawn area I spawned as a allo and after that dilo attacked me he died in a process but I have ss that proves that he was first to attack
EU 1 server btw
Go to the server chat that it happened in and tag an official admin or pm one of them
Okie dokie but Can I get any admin nickname of the EU 1 ?
Look on right, any person with a yellow name
alright thanks
I have recently made a Server, On the Dv Test Level map, 20 slots etc. But now i seem to be Having a Problem, The loading Stops at 10% Whereas Ive never had Problems with DV test Levels and the Loading always starts at 28% It seems to Only be My server which Is duelly Frustrating. Could this be something to do with the Region its set in? I just thought id ask before I asked The website Im using to Run the server.
The best place to get an answer for that would be the #server-hosting channel, and on the steam forums as well
Okay ty x
hey @amber tide can you help a friend of mine with some discord issues?
What issues
she can't start it up. it's stuck in an endless update loop where it can't finish the instal and starts over
she's uninstalled it twice completely
is she on windows 10?
yes
Hit ctrl + alt + del and open the task manager, make sure Discord.exe is not open, right click to end task if it is
With task manager still open, Click on File - Run new task. Type in %AppData%
On the file explorer where you can see your files, it should be in AppData - Roaming. Click on AppData to go back one folder
http://prntscr.com/od7a30
Click on the Local file and then look for the Discord folder
Find the Update.exe and right click to rename it to Update1 or something
You should be able to open up discord after that
she's tried that

any other magic trikes up those sleeves? π
Of course, give me a sec
tricks*
Tell her to go back into that appdata > local > Discord folder and try running that discord.exe as admin
If that doesn't work, tell her to right click that discord.exe and set the compatability mode to Windows 7 or 8
she said she's trying the first one again, so we'll see what happens
Okay cool let me know π
π¬ sorry
when was the last time she restarted her computer
she says she shuts it down every night when she goes to bed
shut down isnt the same as restart though, is it?
yeah
it is. okay
Has she restarted it since she renamed the exe?
Tell her to restart it really quick
Most changes need a computer restart to fully work
π€
no change π¦
the file stayed to the name she changed it to
but it's still stuck at 25% update
Did she by chance set the compatability mode to windows 7/8?
Tell her to run Windows Update really quick and make sure everything is updated
she said she thinks she's missing an exe file...
she's uninstalling and deleting the files again
π
aaaannnd now we're stuck at 5% download
"Shit's fucked
I reinstalled it and went back in time and now stuck at like 5%
I think it is downloading
But just at a pace that would make snails shame it"
So itβs going through now but just slow?
she thinks so, but only time will tell
@woven fractal howβs time working for that discord
with her australian internet she may need to leave it overnight to intall. she thinks its abut 10% now
Whaaaaaat
π¦πΊ
Hey!
For some reason I'm thrown out of every server I try to connect to. "Host closed the connection", message pops up every time. I don't know what to do.
Any suggestions?
try doing this below @honest river
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
hi there is a probelm/bug i cant eat anymore bodies i notice as bary.... i didnt be able to nest in the same day, but after hours finnaly i make a nest, unfortunatly i cant eat.....

@amber tide the aussie is back online!!
π took damn long eough. i feel so bad for her internet
Lol
@amber tide My discord became unfucked, don't know how, but thank you for the help
β¨
Hah glad we were able to get it back in condition
No server found solution :
At the top left of Steam youβll see a little button labeled βSteamβ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 250. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle. @honest river
tried this one?
restart the game if it wasnt already close
and just try finding the server
reducing the ping per minutes will increase the time it takes for the game to find server
but it should find more
though if your friend thinks it takes too long they can up the numbers a little
feel free to try them all and pick what works best for them!
Just thought id ask again in Here, Since i feel like this is More of a Server Issue. There is One particular Server i Cannot Join, Only one, All the Others load Up fine. Normally if the Server is Gonna Load it starts at 28% but this One starts at 10% and Never loads, Normally Resulting in a Time out. Could this be Something to dowith the Region its set or is there anything i can do? cause the server does Load sometimes, But then Stops.
Probably that servers configuration is setup wrong.. is anyone else that you know able to connect there?
Never heard of that before, doesn't make sense.. the only option I would know of to even try is this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Okay thank you I shall try x
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder @idle quail
Is it just this one time, or is it every single time
no everytime for like a month now
Verify integrity of games files via the steam client, if not reinstall it
k
@pallid ridge
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

Yes π
alrgihty, lets try it
Sounds good, let me know
will do
thank you so much, my problem is fixed!
its loaded and now i can play on it again
I can't sniff for food in game. I had downloaded the isle before but got rid of it due to disinterest. But I bought it again since I am interested in it now. I think that older files may still be floating around Any help?
the same solution as Overpowered posted above will work for you too
deleting the saved folder I mean
It worked thank you β€
Is there anyway to make customization of your dinos less laggy?
is your CPU an amd?
yes
Follow the instructions there
Goto the settings screen on the main menu
Goto the audio settings area
Set audio quality to Low
Lower all audio sliders to 0%
Apply settings
Join and play on servers normally
Once fully in game, redo your audio settings
I wonder what type of bug caused that lmao
Hey my friend is trying to get into the server but it keeps saying shes kicked? Anyone know how to fix it?
Follow these steps
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@maiden frigate
Ty she was able to get in!
Hello all! i have a friend trying to connect who bought the game recently and he does not see Official us 2 it keeps giving him the EU servers? <@&505047238674874368>
@amber tide it did not work
At the top left of Steam youβll see a little button labeled βSteamβ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 250. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.
@amber tide Also does not work. now he has even less servers
Thatβs somewhat good, now tell them to do the flushdns again and it should be back to normal
Also are they on WiFi or Ethernet
π
Is the recording feature working?!
I have the auto record on and the indicator on as well
Recording is also enabled on the server I am playing but there is nothing showing up in the replays.
No the recording feature is very buggy and sometimes work while sometimes it does not. It should be fixed sometime after the recode hopefully
I just bought the isle today and it wont make me start the game
it shows this message
can someone please help

yeah...?
yeah you're missing a Graphic cards to play the game, and your overall computer is far too low of the minimum system requirements to play the game.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I would suggest requesting a refund through steam if you're not planning on upgrading your computer.
oh okay thanks
you're welcome, it's unfortunate that there's not much we can do
the best would be to meet the Recommended specifications, but anything that come close to the minimum specifications should be able to run the game aswell.
Oh okay thanks for the help i'll see if i could upgrade if not i'll just get my refund
if you're looking to upgrade :
a graphic card(gpu) is important have to run this game.
your processor should also be upgraded, look for processors that are "quad-cores" (yours being only a dual-core).
and you'll most likely need a tiny bit more RAM, 4g might have you lag a little.
Oh okay thank you so much for the help i really appreciate it !!
@primal flower I am using a GPU GTX 660 OC (2GB), it's not the minimun but works well the game, I have some settings in medium and textures and view distance in high. But my CPU is an i7 and I have 16 GB of RAM. The game work in my computer between 40 and 70 fps.
I hope help you this information. ^^
@amber tide i just finished reinstalling and it did not help
the no eat/drink thing
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
@idle quail I know you tried this already but try it again
@amber tide nope nothing
Thatβs interesting.. what exactly happens
If I try to drink or eat or sniff it kinda tries then stops then tries again but with running it does the same thing only until I press f no other key
And youβre holding it instead of just pressing it right
yes
Hmmm I'm not sure why it's doing that for you, give me a little to do some research
In the mean time, can you post your pc specs?
https://gyazo.com/8c1cac40ec65c922d4950386d9d19aba
K I will be gone away from my pc for a week so dm me for the updates on it if you can
Okay
I have a 2060 and a i5 5400 I run on all epic and get 144 FPS on average
I need you to follow the gif above and post the results
K I will when I can
Is it me or whenever there are multiple people on servers, even US Official, pings spike up significantly?
I.E. started off on the Official 2 at 50 people - 80 ping
Now that it's maxed (100 ppl) - ping 300
and that seems to be for every server that has high population, and for every member in our group
wouldnt be a big issue if i wasnt a utah hunting apexes
one little misstep due to lag - dead
Is there a way to improve the ping on my end? Obviously i cant do anything about servers themselves
Are you looking at the ping on the player list?
@amber tide Eyyy again
I am having the same problem with brightness again ;-;
Look how bright it is when storming
(Only when I am auto recording though!)
If I open the logout menu, it turns normal!
Same place and time, when auto recording is turned off
Turn the feature auto recording off and see what happens
Otherwise, follow these steps:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
@amber tide i guess we're back to square one on my friend's discord issue... she went through all the steps again, renamed the update.exe and restarted, set the compatability, ran windows updates, and it's stuck doing that update glitch again... what else can she try?
She's probably gonna have to reach out to their support team. That's literally all of the fixes posted on the internet and all of them usually fix it. I would say to reinstall it again, and that's honestly what their support team is going to do, but with her speed I'm not sure that's a viable option. She might have to use the web browser portion of discord until she can get it figured out
I'll try researching some more though
Actually
What antivirus is she using
Tell her to disable it while trying to open discord as an administrator
@woven fractal
ooh, that's an interesting idea. she's afk at the moment but i will tell her to give that a shot
Alright sounds good
and for now she is using the web browser but it slows down everything else becuase aussie internet
i'll let you know what the results are. thanks!
@placid slate Follow the below steps to find more servers:
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
damn, no luck
"For some reason it doesn't even downloading the update file when I remove it from the fiolder
folder*
Is it just not reading the update file at all?"
@amber tide
I'm looking around still, in the mean time, tell her to contact the discord support team
ok. thanks again
The only thing I can find as well is that she'll need to disable her antivirus and her firewall, then run discord as administrator
There a member having trouble with the game. Hes trying to logg in in any server and he gets kick out
Here the notif he get
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@mossy cradle
Okai im trying with him
Rofl I hate when there troubleshoot with the language between the member
Thabks for your help as always :)
Doenst seem to work
Tell them to do it a few more times, that's the fix for that issue
They can try this as an alternative but it's not really a fix for it
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Okai thanks again
hey guys, for some reason I can't see any EU official servers only US, can someone help me?

That's great! Glad we could be of assistance
@amber tide My Discord is working as normal now. I had to restart the computer and set it into safe mode, run the Discord app to force the update to download and then switch back over to normal start up. Thank you for helping me.

I have a really strange ping problem, when me and my friends play on a server like pangaea it says they get like 40-100 ping yet I get somewhere over 400 despite us being both in NA East
The ping that you see in the playerlist isn't a real representation of your ping, you're not actually getting over 400
The recode should include a better representation and more accurate depiction of your ping while in the player list
Hm
But i also notice that when im in a fight with other apexes as my rex they start teleporting a lot and some of my bites on them do not register at all
So i feel like that its my ping at times
Try this to refresh your internet "cache"
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
C:\WINDOWS\system32>winsock reset
'winsock' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
uh

Hi, when i join an server and create an dino game freezing and need to exit with task manager, any solution?
My current computer is a little bit broken, so I use my old one now instead. I downloaded the Isle, opened Steam and tried to open the Isle. At first, everything was normal. But then a message popped up. Apparently a file is missing and 'I don't have any cooked content'. Is it because my old computer doesn't have the save files from my new/current one? Can I solve this issue without deleting my progress on my new/current computer? If I can't then it would suck (I still have to wait 1-2 weeks until my /new/current one is fixed)
Your old computer isnβt compatible to run the isle. Itβs not compatible with directx11 to be more specific so you couldnβt use it to run TI unfortunately. @honest river
Aw, what a shame. Thanks tho
So my game all of a sudden is runnning at 8 fps when it was running at 30 the last time i played
can you post your pc specs?

my game was running fine before
You need to update your drivers as they are out of date by 2 years
What graphic settings are you running the game at
by updating my drivers, does that mean replacing them or
but the thing is, my game ran fine a few hours ago
No that means running Windows Update and letting your computer update all of your drivers. For your amd gpu, you'll have to visit this link and download the autodetect tool to find updates
I would suggest putting the epic settings to medium/low
ive never had issues with the settings i have
Yet now you do
Update all of your drivers
Okay now follow these steps
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
it wont let me run as admin
Whys that
You're not an admin on your computer?
Does it give an error or anything
nope
What antivirus software are you using
Disable it for now and retry running the cmd prompt as admin
If that doesn't work, just restart your computer
yeah it didnt work
@amber tide yeah its back to 30 again
idk what happened
thank you tho
π
Needed those updates, you gotta keep your drivers up to date, otherwise random things break
true
Happy we could get you back to optimum play for yourself though, enjoy your time!
thank you
I'd love to play this game. I unfortunately have a macbook pro and have no clue if I'll be able to play this game.
Nope, sorry wonβt be able to as the isle doesnβt have Mac support
@real thicket
Follow the below steps to find more servers:

Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@slender dew Follow these steps to get it working again:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@amber tide thanks! got it working again, cheers!
That's great! Welcome back!
Is there any tutorial for the replay named "how to use the replay" π€
I'm not sure what you're talking about, you're asking for a tutorial on a video tutorial..?
@cyan elbow
Follow these steps to get it working again:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
So my friend has a problem, she just got a new gaming laptop and she is trying to download the isle and she keeps getting this.
Now she isnt sure if its her laptop, steam or the game itself.
That would be her laptop
What is the actual error, I can't see anything in the picture
@amber tide "PAGE FAULT INNONE PAGE AREA"
That's an issue with either the windows updates, or a hardware issue. Tell her to run windows update
And update all of the drivers and windows itself
I moved recently, and my computer is the same, but since I moved I can't usually find Official servers. I can't tell if they're down, or if something is up. Unofficial will pop up, but if I try to filter with word or checkbox, Official doesn't show (but once, so far)
Follow the below steps to find more servers:
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

Simply lowering the ping rate seemed to do the trick, it was defaulted to 5000
thank you
Youβre welcome, glad we could help!
Can you fix the replays so I can hear when dinos call? So I can report for baiting, spam calling and those things
Replays will hopefully be fixed either with the recode or sometime after.
ok
But when are u gonna add back bone break to other dinos like ankys for example
?
There is no information released to the public about that. You can discuss with other players in #401464048610312195
@smoky flint Steam Subsystem Error OR No servers showing.
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer

@honest river regarding your #401481402782056460, you could possibly fix that issue by doing either this
Steam Subsystem Error OR No servers showing.
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer
Or
No server found solution :
At the top left of Steam youβll see a little button labeled βSteamβ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.
Or both
let us know if it worked or not!
Anyone know why I can't see any of the US Official servers, but I can see all of the EU servers?
you can do the same fixes as above @cunning valve
type CMD in your taskbar
Then right click it and run as admin
Ugh sorry im slow.. what taskbar like just your browser? or in game
oh ok sorry ;-;
Ok, so I can find servers but I'm having trouble finding the US servers I can only find the EU servers and this didn't work so idk
You followed the steps to change the ping too?
yup
And played with the different ping numbers to select from?
only 3 but i can try different ones
Try them all

@honest river
ok basically
I log in
dont see my dino
see my surroundings
cant do anything
I restart
I log in
I get on
everythings fine
I take 5 steps
server kicks me
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer
CMD?
sorry im already confused
the taskbar is usually at the bottom of your screen, it's where your start menu are @rare badger
yea I get that
I just don't understand what they mean as run as admin
because this pops up
when you right click an icon, you can choose "run as administrator", did you do this to run the command prompt?
also close your game before doing anything.
it's best that you close the command prompt and relaunch it again as admin as the commands overpowered gave you are not gonna work if not
uh
sorry if this sounds dumb but
how
if I left click the game on steam
I mean right click
no option for it
we arw not asking you to launch the game as administrator though
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
ok
type those two line (separately)
Hello, i got an issue , on every server i connect after a few steps i get kicked from the server and get " Host closed the connection" message , i reinstalled the game and the problem still persists .
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
100% adult F cerato unable to nest on flat ground
I tried LMB and B and so tried changing the keys
@rare badger yeah, that was it
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder. @odd aspen
Alrighty, I'm here on behalf of a player who cannot Discord currently.
They are having the "No Servers Found" issue. I have gone through this channel and gave them intructions, step by step, on the following solutions.
The Steam one where you adjust the ping in the settings and the command prompt solution. Both to no avail. We have double checked that they did the steps correctly each time, but are still getting nowhere.
Is there another option to this problem or should we keep trying, just in case, we missed something?
Thanks in advance. (:
Try this: go into the steam client, click the view button, then servers, select the isle on the bottom left and join a server through this list built-in to steam
@amber tide that worked for them. They're still having the issue of no servers showing up when they open the game, but for the time being this'll do. Thanks!
That means that they would need to either open up their ports, or add an exclusion through their antivirus/firewall but I'm glad that was a working solution for now
hey, guys. i just got this game and i cant find the server a friend is on. i find no servers from the US, but literally from everywhere else. Anyone know any solutions?
No server found solution :
At the top left of Steam youβll see a little button labeled βSteamβ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.
@barren goblet
i'll try that out, thanks!
let us know if it worked or not!
it worked! thanks so much

hello

yes but for some reason not working
should still give priority to the rx 590, just in case that's the reason it crash
the game may be attempting to use it instead
ok i try to do that in the restart and i come back thanks
try this: Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
if it still doesn't work
i try this too but i will try it again
no nothing i try to give priority to card and see what hapend
type %localappdata% in your task bar search box and press enter.
scroll down to the isle, open it and delete the "saved" folder.
delete it and try launching your game again
Look for driver updates (though 7/11/19 isnt that old), windows update too
also, what are you graphic settings? most importantly the resolution you use to play
sorry i forget to tell you before the windows update recently i playing fine but with less fatal errors like this ,after the update is all the time ,only 2 times manage to play , i play on 1920-1080 resolution at 144 hz but i dont think is monitors refresh rate the problem
also try to delete the isle saved folder but nothing, i dont install any mod never
ill have to look further into it but im currently at work, ill have to get back to you later on then
ok i be here π but you now this problem is pain in the ass π
dw, me or @amber tide will figure it out!
ok thanks π
@amber prawn, Verify your file integrity, add the game .exe into your antivirus exclusion list, launch the game as administrator (steam as well)
let's try that
If you've been playing fine before the update, use a restore point back to before you updated the most recent one
Something from the update probably messed it up

I hope you knows what this means cuz I don't lol
I do, and there's not much you can really do about it since it's under the minimum requirements to play, the only thing you can do is lower your graphic settings in-game to the lowest and update your driver
If you download Geforce experience, it'll pop up the latest update for your graphics driver
I'd also run Windows Update to update every other driver you have, but slowly you're not going to be able to play at all with that laptop
Are you saying my laptop isn't good enough?
Yes
I know
Outside of what i told you to do, it's not really meant for gaming, as it's meant for lite usage, video playbacks, maybe some editing, so it will thermal throttle to prevent it from overheating and that's when you have the performance drops
Just update the driver and lower the graphics to the lowest settings and you should be fine
Thanks ^^
No problem, hope it helps some!
Wait, can u see what driver i have
Yeah the NVIDIA GeForce MX150
nvm
Last updated on 7/20/2018 π
wait can i slide in ur dm for a sec
Sure
hi overpowered can i ask something?

The game plays fine with the shipping exe but what happens now?
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your compute
thats the specific fix for that error
i do that but he shows me the first pic i send you
and what you see in pics
i think is steam problem :/
hey overpowered i fix it π―
π
i go to steam settings and i lower the in game server max pings from automatic to 1000
Sounds great! π

There's no way around it currently
Nope.
It's just something that happens
π

@covert osprey click on them
Go to your settings -> Controls while at the main menu, then click on whatever keybind you want to change and press the new bind you want to set it to, then hit apply. @covert osprey

trying to change the group inv key bind
(asking for a friend)
Then you can't change that
ok got ya ty
You're welcome π
Not sure where to ask this, I posted a screenshot in V3 Screenshots last night and it seems to have been removed?
this was the screenshot
@silk summit not really the right channel for this, it should go in #401470471750811669 but I'd say it's because your screenshot looks cropped
it isnt, No idea why it shrinks when i open original, but thanks for the response
i cant join any servers i just keep on getting kicked
@lavish scaffold

Hello there, I have a problem with my game settings ever since I logged in on some discord chats. :/ At first I thought itΒ΄s just my keyboard but then I realized itΒ΄s only the "inventory" that does not work. Everything else work just fine. Can someone here help me or had the same problem??
Iβm sorry can you reword that and tell us whatβs the problem?
Sorry :/ Ill try again:
I logged in on some chats on discord and tried out which key combination is the best for the overlay in game. So I think maybe I hit the wrong "button" and now my key for inventory doesnΒ΄t work anymore. I always had "insert" as my inventory key, but I tried insert with some other game settings (like the player list) and it worked just fine. So it must be only the inventory in my game thats bugged. Or at least I hope so.
Im sorry if thatΒ΄s not understandable...do you need more info?
In The Isle where you can check up on the health of your dino etc.
The stats page more than likely as thatβs the default
YES
ah ok
Go to the main menu and look at your keybinds
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
you mean the main menu from discord right?
Im having trouble finding that File Explorer....
yo guys I need some help, its a pretty weird issue I got on my hands
the problem is rather weird, when you launch the isle and you try to join a full server its gonna kick you out and tell you the server is full
each time you try to join and fail, you go back to the starter screen as normal
the thing is
when I tried to join the server for 4 times and I get back to the starter screen each time, the 5th time i wont find any servers at all, and even my browser takes a shit wit te internet for unknown reasons, my internet is pretty fast and still connected, as discord still works,
but for whatever reason every time I try to join a server 4 times and it fails I wont be able to brows in the internet for like 5 minutes till it "magicly" fixes itselfe
and yes, its the game that triggers that issue :/
@sage dragon this is the file thing
if you have windows 10
idk how it looks on other systems
also probably the main menu in-game, not on the discord
because you can go into the game's options there
and change the keybinds
yeah I have win 10 and I see that folder, but I donΒ΄t understand what to do.....what options? IΒ΄m sorry I just feel so lost right now π¦
open up the folder thing and click on this (will be called different if you're not german but it is at this location)
then go here
then here
and then scroll down and find something like 'hidden files and folders'
and then click 'show hidden files, folders and drives'
and then 'OK' at the bottom
then go back here and type %localappdata% in the search bar
scroll down, open 'TheIsle' and delete the 'saved' folder
@sage dragon
and for the options just open up The Isle, then click one below the 'play' button (should be called options or settings), then click the gear/cog in the top right corner and search for this
and then you can bind it to a different key
than 'insert'
@tawdry estuary Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Thank you all for your help (I am german btw, so I understood pretty well π ) - but it is still not working.
I tried twice, but nothing
@amber tide Ill try that,
(idk if I'm allowed to write german so I'll continue writing in english)
I can translate to you if you want
@modern spear yeah, multiple times, still nothing :/
hit alt+shift @sage dragon
in game?
mhm
okay, wait
well it can be done anywhere
Nothing happens...what is supposed to happen? π
Maybe it works differently for me
try your keybind now
alt+shift changes your keyboard language
most likely when you tried things for discord

Yeah, I figured I just messed up when I tried different combinations...but good to know how to change it now
Thank you all again for you help!!
^^
have fun playing π
Ok guys first time here but really having trouble
Sure, with what?
I am using Nvidia Geforce now to play The Isle on my mac but the bottom portion of the screen is unuseable
i cannot interact with any buttons and when i enter a server i cant close the message box rendering the game unplayable
There is no mac support for The Isle
Even if I use their streaming?
Correct
Should i have used a VM for windows ?
then ran geforce now
am i allowed to talk about that?
You're not going to be able to play the game on a mac regardless even with a VM
Even with the small chance that it'd work, it'd be terribly laggy and slow
You can keep trying, but there's no way for us to give support to get it to work
A mac isn't meant for gaming, and The Isle is a graphic intensive game, where as most older computers even with windows cannot run it
Good luck with getting it to work, if you ever do get it to work please come back as I'd love to hear about your experience
Thats why i was using nvidias streaming service didint know the OS would interfere becuase I was under the impression it was being ran on their machines
which maybe had a differnt OS
I'm also not very knowledgeable with it, but I hear something called BootCamp is a good alternative for some macs to play games. I've seen people use it for other games
Not sure if it'd work for this one
Thats what i was suggesting when i said a VM
so after i did the fix that overpowered said i was able to connect for like maybe 1 min and then as soon as i got ontop a hill i got kicked from the server and couldn't reconnect everytime i tried
Do the same cmd over
@hidden inlet Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
ty so much and now i know where to post that kinda stuff
π
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
that's done
Yes
done
Reload the game
Anyone here able to help me with this?
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box called the command prompt
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Erm- how do I do that? Sorry
Sorry I don't know what you mean by how do you do that
The steps tell you how to do each step[

Does the notification pop up to eat/drink at least?
Do me a favor and make sure your keybind is set correctly
ight
If it is, hit alt + shift and retry it
the bindings are correct
hit alt + shift and retry it
wdym?
nope nothing
Alright last ditch effort before you may have to try reinstalling it:
At the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
I know you already did that part before, but just try it again
Verify the integrity of the installation files through steam as well.
Alright go back in-game and see if it's changed anything... If it hasn't, then unfortunately you're gonna have to try to reinstall and see if it changes
Are you still the sucho?
no i have been doing it on a private server but on that server yes
welp time to reinstall for the 3rd time
You've reinstalled it twice before?
Yup
@summer gorge At the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
Hmmm, that's really weird that it doesn't let you
Ye
Go to your desktop, close out the game
It is already installing tho
Thx @amber tide
You're welcome π
@amber tide i pressed alt + shift but it only worked for one sip
That means something is up with your keyboard language
π
dang i had a nice keyboard
well it work all the time with the new one soo...
Yes because you touched something with the other keyboard
Follow the below steps to find more servers:

@cyan elbow
im not seeing settings when i go to steam in library
yeah, like when i go into my library and go to steam in the top left and put my mouse over it i see: change account, go offline, check for steam client updates, backup and restore games, then exit
you don't see the same menu?
like that but without settings
sounds like the ''family view'' option has been enabled
you should be able to see the settings now that it is off!
yes i got to it and changed the pings to 1000, ill try it now thanks
alright seems to be working, thanks again
glad we could help!
Anyone able to tell me why I'm repeatedly only seeing EU servers when I click on official servers I hardly ever see US servers showing up
Follow the below steps to find more servers:
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@coarse sand
hello can anyone by any chance help me out. whenever i try to play the isle it says that there are no servers and i cant find one. but at the same time i can run my own and there are no bugs from what i see
Follow the above steps that I gave to armonus
ok ty
it didn't work for me
i went threw and did both and it still wont show. should i click a certain thing for when im looking for a lobby
Hey sorry I went to sleep after you didn't come back, can you try the shipping.exe
Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
If that doesn't work go into the steam client, click the view button, then servers, select the isle on the bottom left and join a server through this list built-in to steam
Now if servers show up, that means 2 things; either your antivirus/firewall are blocking the isle.exe and it needs to be added as an exclusion, or your ports aren't opened
@honest river
Do you mind helping me walk threw it
I'm not very good with computers and idk how to do that
anybody that can help me? i keep getting kicked form the server , it says host closed connection , tryed the CMD thing.. did not solve the issue
about a week ago i had the same issue, the cmd thing worked back then
Okay, try this:
At the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
If that doesn't do it, you'll have to do the flushdns command a few more times
It sometimes doesn't work with the first one
deleted the saved folder and made more than 2 steps, hope its stable, thank you xD

i keep getting this when i try to join EU 1

i cant find any servers (help pls)
same fix as above written by Overpowered @onyx surge
alright i"ll try it
@amber tide is there a glitch that prevents carnos from nesting?
They're a bit trickier to nest; spam the bite and try nesting; if that doesn't work then follow these steps
at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
how do i access the taskbar? you mean the one in game correct?
No on your computer desktop
what will this delete exactly?
resets any progress on my dinos?
Nope
ok thanks
it keeps saying Kicked from Server host closed the connection whenever i join a server

@honest river
that should fix it
is that the only way?
well if you keep getting kicked, it means your connection is somehow unstable, this will clear your dns cache and hopefully it will stabilise afterward
that or restart your computer, sometime it helps
there are already things typed in the box, do i delete them
no space
ipconfig/flushdns right
ipconfig /flushdns
and netsh winsock reset right after it
do the netsh only after the first one
uh
oh
I believe yes
what theres a space between ipconfig and /flushdns?
