At the top left of Steam youโll see a little button labeled โSteamโ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.

I am unable to host a local server in the isle, even after reinstalling the game. This is hindering my ability to test things.

If I alt tab, the game seems to freeze when I go back in for a good 20-30 seconds. I've tried updating drivers and e.t.c. Can't really come up with what else may cause this issue (perhaps prioritization? that the computer "pauses" the processes, so I'll try to mess a bit with prioritization.) @pale pike it was already se to max though interestingly enough i noticed that i can access the EU servers through the steam server listings but not ingame so i can connect but once im ingame the listing wont show if i search there instead very wierd issue

@ocean pike it is the server trying to reconcile your movements, their movements and time back and forth between your movements and the other players but its missing some information so you or they jump to the last place you had been or next place the server thinks you are going to be based on your last movement and then it corrects itself and jumps you or they to the next point it knows

the only way to decrease the time it takes is to install to a drive with a faster read/write speed

After 1.52.6, I can't even run the game at a consistent 60 fps anymore even with most options turned to low down from where they were before at high or cinematic. Before I was able to get 100-120 without vsync on, and a consistent 60 fps. Plus there's now tons of freezing every few minutes when walking around.

I am running into a issue when playing the Isle, i keep crashing and i double checked It is NOT my graphics card{It is all up to date and i also play another game that has alot of stuff in it as well, no issues that other game is World of Warcraft{also on high graphics} and its seems to be only the Isle giving me issues, it crashes when i try to do the shift tab to access my friends that message me, or when i tab out, it crashes to the point where i am force shutting down my laptop which also uninstalls the isle everytime it crashes.{This is still happening for me}

I'm crashing all the time too, when starting the game up, and after some time playing when i get in. Updating my Nvidia drivers solves it for the night usually, but it always happens again a day or two later

@cunning cipher I got into the character skin creation after finishing and launching into the map, it freezes then i am forced to shut down my laptop to get rid of the frozen game.
all my graphics drivers are up to date and i ONLY managed to get on the map for only a tiny bit before the game froze over.

Is there any plans to fix the game's memory leak? After playing for 3-4+ hours, fps continually drops lower and lower until game is close to unplayable due to constant fps jumping/stuttering/freezing. Only game I own from my Steam library that does this. Even Skyrim SE with 200+ mods and all kinds of shadows/texture upgrades doesn't do this. However, exiting The Isle application and immediately restarting it brings you back to normal fps until the same issue crops up again in another few hours.

Ok i might just be an idiot but i just downloaded the isle on my laptop today and the button for eating/drinking is a parenthesis rather than a letter and no matter how many buttons i press the charecter will not do the action. Ive tried looking it up in online and ive searched the settings to try and change it but their is nothing there. At the top left of Steam youโll see a little button labeled โSteamโ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. Well if you already tried the max ping settings and tried adding the game in the exclusion list for both your anti-virus and firewall, you can try one last thing
open the command prompt as an administrator and running the following commands:

I'm having an issue finding servers, I can't find the official servers, and servers keep on popping in and out if the server selection menu. I couldn't see many of the servers even before refreshing.

@strange yoke In the top left of your Steam library there's a button that says Steam. Click it then go to settings > ingame. Click the bottom drop down box and set it to 1000.

well im reinstalling the game
cause for instance
i search official i get the 3 us servers
if i hit refresh again i might get 1 of them
i end up keep pressing refresh till it appears
i didnt even know eu servers existed

There is no way to kill yourself. Try tagging the official server admins in the respective server channel.
