I work with lab mice and we have several strains. In this context they are effectively just breeds, but with a more technical and specific definition (an inbred population that stays true to certain traits)

Isle strains seem to be more akin to mutants or chimera in a technical sense

It's a fair question whether Mendys/Metallivore are new genera or just a modified form of existing plants. I'd lean toward the former just because of the manner in which they are described in the devblog, combining traits (on an artistic level, not necessarily canonically) from multiple species

I dont use introspection on a day to day basis so I didn't even know what it meant until I realised I didn't know what it meant and the subsequent curiousity of what it meant got the better of me.

The weird thing about the music is how it is named out like the score of a film, almost suggesting there is a narrative to follow, a narrative we cant at this point piece together

More I think about it, the more I want to convey my own "fan" story to follow the music

more so, in my opinion, like a video game OST
very broad and very general (especially the exploration ones)

in my opinion

Every Film and Game does it similar but differently, I did look at some games like Journey, Abzu, Planet of Lana, TLOU and films like HTTYD, Joyeux Noel, Im Western Nicht Neues and The Wind that Shakes the Barley.

They all seem to follow their own format, chronological and with some reference to the chapter/scene that the OST plays in.

Although, the isle isn't like any of the games mentioned, those are all single player games which makes it rather more interesting since I don't know a multiplayer game with such an OST like that (Not going to include things like CoD with the campaign music stuff). Game or Film, it suggests a story.

The beginning starting with the world building, then some development with the environment, then we uncover some "introspective" stuff, before nightfall where we have some "Tension" that is split into 3 phases. Hallucinations lead the story into a Laboratory setting where we learn things that lead to Lineage Displacement....

At this point, I want to say the story turns this imaginary character I have in my head, into a dinosaur (The Omnisaur). If that is the case, then I believe that you do not sign to become a dinosaur, you sign up to work for AE. Its only when you step out of line that you become a dinosaur against your will as for stepping out of line leads to your knowledge possibly being leaked and at risk to AE's reputation

I've long since forgotten the discussions over Lineage Displacement and what that means, but the music has given me a new perspective. It is Very far fetched as there is little to go from other than the names of each soundtrack, but its given me a new look on things

Everything about lore we've seen up until now has simply felt like world building, if this is meant to be a main storyline. Stuff like Errant-291 are merely little sub plots to explore that may be added to later down the line, videos of things like Augustus being accessible in game via computers. The whole storyline of the isle seems as though it is meant to be naturally played out by the player as they explore the game naturally.

i really need more interactions with evrima lore than getting legacy lore revealed

about that, a prime example of the feeling that makes me think that; is the reason people think spino is the most epic character in the franchise of JP/JW

it was fully reasonable, it didnt have wierd plot, it didnt lose but also didnt win with a magical coincidence, it stood as a villian untill the very last second without getting its pride and ego touched

The first lore hunt, the one we had, basically being level 0
It was 'simple' and quite linear

and as time progresses, Don would theoretically learn a lot more and do more each time
all the while we would be actually starting to understand what patterns and ideas to look out for
