in steam age you can craft drums stack them on top of each other and screwdrive them, then it auto exports on the bottom

Can i place a pipe on the lowest drum, or do i need to place a pipe all the way up?🤔

Depending on what you are storing there are a few gregtech multiblock tanks. Treated wood being an early one. And the create tank is also an option but it's very expensive for how little it stores, drums are generally better than it unless you want to have the tank as part of a moving contraption
