#Is there a way to automate rubber production?

latex is useless past steam
what kind of pipes and pumps do you use?
the normal gregtech ones
wait what do i use for rubber later on?
you can substitute rubber for synthetic polymers such as polyethylene, but that's HV, so I don't now what he's talking about
I use create pipes and pumps and they seem to work just fine
centrifuge kapok logs
to be honest, I don't know
i think when you hover on a tap it says the drip rate, when i put one on a tree it says 1.0x, when i put 2 on a tree it says 0,5x
it might
interesting
but I think it's balancing
so no matter how many taps you have, the drop rate is the same
it always adds up to 1
but that's just my assumption
and in earlygame it's better to have more, because you don't have to empty them as often
Tru
steam extractor on kapok logs to get rubber pulp
thank you all for your suggestions, ill run them through my friends to see which one they would like to do
it does but only because you get the same amount of latex per tree per day, so you get ¼th per tap when you have four taps
did they change in the meantime? it just gives latex in our recipes, and the problem is that we still need to bucket it into the vat to boil it
ah, no. correction: it steam extractor does absolutely nothing with kapok logs
rubbermaking has changed a lot since that message, either tap the rubber trees when the weather is right or use a vaccumizer to get latex straight from rubber logs
at least for steam age
yes the problem is not the latex, but making it into vulcanized rubber
ah, yeah you need the vat for that
as it is right now we haven't found a way to bring it from the vacumizer to the vat, and transferring 10 buckets at a time is painfully slow
I really don't get why the hell this wouldn't be cookable in a normal basin + blaze burner
not to mention having an oven and vat in the middle of our factory also look pretty stupid
can't the chemical reactor help with this? its been a couple of weeks since I last played so my memory is kinda foggy about it
I guess, but we're still in the process of making our first vacuum tubes. chem reactor is a way off
we're in a spot where we kinda started automating things with steam machines and create, we can't use chem reactor yet. It just feels weird that there isn't a middle ground between having to transfer buckets from a basin to a vat and lit the oven like primitives and the chem reactor
I don't get why the vat can't interact with pipes/sprout and other means to transfer fluids
are yall using buckets? you can use barrels to transfer liquids faster
the real problem is the passage after we collect the latex/resin, the cooking process is awful
didn't try with the barrel but this should make the process a little less painful
thanks ❤️
& you can get around the 2+ barrel encumberment by putting them in your backpack
