Why strip away popular ways to profit? Now we all have too much gems and nothing to spend them on, except from boosters. Just keep digging the game into the grave I guess. I don’t see this game lasting any longer if they continue with L updates.

L update imo. If anti-bots are weak it doesn't matter if they make these items untradeable. Fluctuations will still rise one way or another. Now we are expecting those shop items to fluctuate?

Bots were the main reason why gems dropped so hard to 1k/120BC, but now real players can't even convert those 1k gems for 120BC. They'll receive even less than that with those shop items, and that's only the case now. Imagine if people play further, those items in shop will just rise and rise in supply and drop in price, even worse, bots.

Fluctuation will rise one way or the other, those gems can be used to buy those items in shop which you will see drop too. The problem is bots itself, and changing these items to being untradeable or not wouldn’t matter at all if you have a poor anti-bot system.

i agree it does not fix the core issue, but i believe that that wasnt their intent.
one thing it does for sure is slow down mass botters and make their life way harder.
if they dont follow up with extra precautions then yes the update is a failure, but if they use the time they have bought themselves it can make the game way more healthy.

i get where youre coming from, but i believe it doesnt impact the players as it does the bots. what this update essentially does is adds a layer of effort to be able to convert the gems into bytecoins. now it requires some strategic thinking, which for a single person who owns a single account shouldnt cause many problems. but when you are a cheater managing 5+ accounts it becomes a lot of manual labour for something that essentially was supposed to be automated (talking about bots)

I’m sure everyone’s aware that fishing, mining and nether are the most stable things players could do to earn BC and this update leaves a big impact.

it just makes it a little more difficult but personally ive already found ways to convert my gems into bytecoins at an even better rate than it was before the update.

it all comes down to game knowledge. if you typically only relied on directly selling gems it might take some time to adapt but it is definitely possible.

Before, people were complaining about the rate of gems being too low (1k/130). Now you barely can get that in those shop items, maybe you could now, but if bots didn’t stop they’ll eventually do the same thing and causing this shop items fluctuation which causes dropping prices of those too. This is a temporary fix that may cause some issues with real players more.

i think if youd look at the points I've made you can understand why this is much worse for the botters than players. Its a temporary fix - but with great potential.

I totally understand that this can buy them some time since people who use multiple accounts (bots) will have a harder time converting those gems to BC. I just hope they take the time from this temporary fix to actually fix botting, because regardless of this untradeable, as I said earlier, bots can still make those items in shop fluctuate if not resolved. This solution doesn’t fix botting itself, rather it tries to buy them time.
