Pixel Worlds itself banned gambling like drop games and casinos, so how is P2P worlds not bannable? It’s still gambling. “Oh, but it’s skill-based” gambling means wagering something of value, like stakes; you can Google it or check the dictionary. P2P is just a lazy way to profit, and it will mess up the economy. People will come just to gamble or host their way to profit, and it can also lead to a lot of tricks and scams in the PW economy. I believe the PW developers should take action against gambling.
I’ve personally hosted P2P before, and honestly it was way too easy, but it still felt wrong, so I just gave my stuff away. P2P shouldn’t exist in the first place and should be removed from the community entirely. People should actually grind in smart ways instead of just watching and profiting their way up.
We need to stop calling this “not gambling, it’s all skill” because that’s just lying to ourselves. It is gambling, you’re risking items for profit. Let’s be real: most people doing this just want an easy way to profit instead of actually working for it.
This also creates bigger problems. It can lead to scams, it messes up the economy, and it encourages people to rely on gambling instead of playing the game properly. On top of that, if PW gets accused of allowing minors to gamble or become addicted, that’s a serious issue. Even if it were “18+ only,” minors would still find ways around it.
P2P does more harm than good for both the community and the economy, and it’s something the developers should seriously take action on.
