BC vs GEMS: a money grab dilemma…

As a f2p player, I hate this feature soo much, I was a farmer, a fisher and a nether warrior. It was ALREADY a struggle to get bc from gems (without trading) but now it will be even harder ? I know people will say (just get a job). I HAVE a job, I HAVE money but ain’t no way im investing any money in that to get deleted after 6 years. I rather invest in real estate than a game (no hard feeling pw, I love this game soo much). And FYI I was the kind that was watching the ads from my phone EVERYDAY for 4 years straight, so yeah im giving them money from that.

And for the fact that gems and wl cannot converted into byte just make it harder yk, so I guess the whales is going to be 80-90% richest player 🤧. And we barter again if bytecoins is too rare somehow

Gems were never converted to bc anyways, thats the least profitable way to grind. You would sell gems to someone else in return for bc or buy items from the shop with the gems to then sell in return for bc. Not a major change at all for you ''as a f2p player'' If u were converting your gems to bc you were doing it wrong

It wasn’t fast like other methods but atleast the f2p player would have the liberty to grind enough to have the items they wan’ts/needs. With all the years I did in pw I had almost all vip bonus prize (except like dp, gv, scab or fc). Had a full set of fishing gear with a tit sup and all the daily prize too. Soo yeah it wasn’t the « easy » way but I had the liberty to grind for it then purchase it. Now I have to rely on p2p player to get bytes. Thats my point.

I don’t think you’ll have to rely on them, the recycling event will probably be there and you could grind for that.

Paying in game with real money, getting them from quest or getting them from recycling and… I guess thats it

I think not exchanging gems for byte coins is a good idea because it makes byte coins more valuable. It might seem bad for f2p players, but it could be healthier for the gameplay and community since some items are still obtained through gems.

Even if you do hate the feature, the developers have to make money SOMEHOW. I personally think byte coins should at least be way more expensive, but idk. One of the key things to note is the fact that running the PW servers is EXPENSIVE, requiring a ton of upkeep and money to keep running 24/7.
I'd like to say that despite the change, it won't be that bad, as not much will change as a f2p player imo (I never converted gems/wls to bytes, I always traded for them anyway)

I would rather them to make the convert rate soo absurd than just getting rid of it, like for example 100 000 gems is worth 1000 bc (its an example), its more for the fact that we have to rely on p2p player and how much they are willing to spend.
