Every month or week an election is held between different npcs. Every npcs has some kind of advantage for when elected. for example fish mayor gives more xp and more strike chance. This gives the community different things to do so that they dont always stick to the same methods

I see the vision and it is a decent idea, however I think the efforts to make it happen would be larger than the result. I think it is not really something really necessary and there are other more significant things that could be done before this. Additionally I don’t think the hype around it would last long

Make it so players can vote for other players to be a mayor, and that mayor can choose which bonus the community gets for that month (from a selection of bonuses ofc)

it can be added as an event each month for a week or two, it wouldn't always be the same buffs

This is a cool concept. I don’t play Minecraft Hypixel, so I’m unfamiliar with the integration, but it does seem neat.

Would it just occur first of the month every month? Would it just be a pop up for everyone online to vote? Time limit for voting and immediate results? Can you abstain from the vote?
