A problem the PWE had in contrast with other MMO markets was: you had to buy the whole stack of items the player put for sale.
Why this fails:
Say I'm looking for 10 of a certain background, I go into the PWE and theres 3 offers, all from farmers who had lots of them, good... right? The problem, they're selling 999 at once, I can't buy the 10 I need, and there's no way in hell I'm buying the 999
Issues that arise from this:
-
I end up not buying the item even though there was LOTS of supply
-
The supplier doesn't sell and thinks there's no demand. There is, but nobody wants 999 of your block
-
The seller can't place lots of offers of just 10 blocks, since PWE has a limited amount of slots, and it makes sense that way, don't get me wrong.
-
Possible sellers with lots of items catching dust don't dare to put up an offer because they know nobody wants the WHOLE stack and they ain't selling little by little either...
How to solve this and improve PWE for EVERYONE:
-
Add a slider after pressing to buy, say, 999 seeds of x item
-
If the end price of the amount I decide to buy has decimals, round by adding 1 bytecoin to the price, same with the PWE fee
-
The seller can see that they sold x amount of that item and can claim the bytecoins the same way they'd claim if they sold it entirely, except the item amount updates and stays there until the offer expires as usual or the user removes it
-
EDIT: Players should also have the ability to choose if they want to enable this feature
-
EDIT: Maybe even increase the fee depending on how low the % of the stack is, a good sink to remove bytecoins and I'd still pay that over buying the whole stack
Give me ONE reason why this isn't beneficial in any way you look at it. More PWE traffic, more reason to farm/dare to sell the more uncommon farmable items, booster packs of which people have stacks of 999 items, etc.
